Mine is Mt09 2017 and Mt15 2022, I love motorbike, I bought 2 mt series and not a single complain, before MT15 I took new KTM duke 250 not that fun ride and having a problem at the beginning when it just came from the dealer. The MT125 is also great, I would like to have that one too if only they sell in my country. You already have a good choice on that one, Mt series famously with agile, good looking with strong character, speedy and easy maintenance that is the most important.
I think that the biggest issue with these MT125 is the existence of a new KTM DUKE 125 2024. My previous KTM Duke 125 2018 heroically died from engine failure (50k+ kms), so I’ve got a new one and, KTM reliability aside 😅 (though mine didn’t have any problems until the engine failure ) it’s packed with features: 1) Amazing TFT screen (my previous KTM had a pretty nice one, but the knew one is just gorgeous) / you can see who’s calling, accept/cancel calls / turn by turn navigation 2) Cornering ABS (doesn’t have traction control though) 3) 320mm front breaks disc / braided lines 4) ride-by-wire and assist/slipper clutch + for ~220 eur you can unlock quick shifter+ And I believe in UK there is also a discount for these bikes as here in Spain I was able to grab one for less than 5k EUR
Depends on your situation, if you want speed and have money to spare I hear that the 2 stroke aprilla is the fastest, but 2t will have a higher chance of blowing than a 4t OR, if you just want something to run and save money then getting a used Yamaha is a good way (make sure they have service log books etc) ORRRR if you have the money to spare and want to keep your bike in top condition, get a brand new cheaper one as it’ll have warranty so if anything goes wrong you’ll have free fixes etc and you’ll know everything with what’s happened to the bike!
I would love a Yamaha but I worry if I get a used one even service it could have problems so this is why I’m think I’m just gonna get a cheaper brand just trying to figure out what is the best cheaper brand as it will come with all the warranty
i prefer the voge 125r due to the airbox roar and it easily hits 75mph but comes stock with a 55tooth rear sprocket so can easily go faster with a smaller rear sprocket.
@TE_53349 Actually I am struggling to decide between the MT 125 and the Voge R125 at the moment. Going to buy one of them. The voge seems to have a great motor as well but I wonder how acceleration compares between these two. Have you tried both?
@@known8172 yes i have. both feel really really similiar to be honest. only difference is whether you want to brag about having a ktm or have a well put together bike for cheap
@@TE_53349 Thanks for answering. To be honest, I prefer the voge even in terms of looks. For me, acceleration is very important for having fun riding a 125. Great video. Looking at doing my CBT and have been looking at getting this bike. Out of interest, what helmet camera are you using? It's at a really nice angle.
@@DanStimo no, I use a sticky mount but it isn’t available on Amazon, however I used to use a GoPro one and it was perfectly fine, they’re are extremely adhesive, at least mine was as I was unable to remove it lmao
I have the 2024 ktm duke and the TFT it tells me who is calling me and i can answer the phone or reject the call obviously i have a headset i can connect my music to it aswell so i can play or pause or skip tracks the TFT is great on the dukes
Totally confirm, the duke has probably the best display and features by far. And I really like the optic of it. Unfortunately they made the engine worse in the 2024 model without talking much about it. Acceleration is way slower now. It lost nearly 2 seconds from 0-80 km/h which is around 20% less then 2020-2023 models. But I guess you could do a lot if you adjust the gear ratio if you prefere it with a faster acceleration. Amazing bike in total anyways, have fun with it!
huh only difference between mt 125 and mt 15 ( i used to ride it ) is the dash, prefer this one looks cleaner. Its nice to ride smaller CCs from time to time.
I’m stuck to smaller CCs atm 😂 love my little MT and the dash too is amazing can connect my phone and it’ll tell me what I need to do for maintenance etc it’s very helpful
