    I have a 2018 model with the VVT engine and a R1. For every day ridding and small country lanes the R125 is just as fun the bigger bike. Anyone who looks at one of thesse and thinks they are just another small under powerd bike is wrong. My R125 is completely standard and still hits 80mph no problem and stays there. Good fun great bike but expensive for a first bike this base model is £6 grand plus

    I have absolutely no interest in this class of bike, although it's always nice to see Chris in action.

      This bike is for first-time riders and for cheap but still fun commuting

      The 155cc models (MT-15 & R15) are fun bikes on our small mountain roads. Fast corner speed and flickable, bigger cc ones cannot always keep up when going downhill!

      @@rommelsailo Such a motorcycle capacity is cool to start your adventure with motorcycles. I rode a Yamaha TDR 125 myself (great bike) but that was 20 years ago. Currently I am 190 cm and weigh over 100 kg, so this class of motorcycles does not interest me.

      Same. Chris is a true enthusiast, you can identify this by its perpetual smile. Never bored by any kind of bikes.

    Great vid Chris.
    Would love to see the 2 smokers back in action.
    The great smell of the Castrol R30 days is long gone though.
    Cheers mate, much respect from Old Fart, West Oz.

    This channel is what separates the men from the boys. This is the sophisticated motorcycle channel, one that really covers the beauty of the biking world. This isn't your standard "ride 500hp litre-bike killers everyday", or just bland reposting of other channels' content.
    I've never had an interest in lower cc machines but the production quality and presentation just make me want to go out and try one of these bad boys.
    Bravo to all the work you guys put into the channel, Chris and the folks in production, stupendous job.
    Thank you for being yourselves and delivering high quality content.

    Awesome. When I was 17 it was a tzr 125 we never spoke about miles per gallon it was miles per piston 😂😂, Even better on the dt50 at 16 I wore through my trainers pulling wheelies everywhere. Nothing better than going home stinking of 2 stroke .

    Im liking this trend of more and more of the tech from the flagship bikes trickling down into all the smaller bikes now. VVT in such a small and cheap bike. Kawi put TC into their Z650 this year too! Though TC in this 125 seems a little overkill, I am still happy with the trend.

    Chris, as much as I always enjoy your bike reviews, but I'm NOT cutting my coffee out. Heck, most of the time I ride one of my bikes to get my coffee.

      I got the mt125 2019 model
      It rides like heaven and eats tight corners for breakfast

      @mauricemotoman3305 can i ask you a question? I got my bike license but i did the course with a 600cc bike. It also was the first time i ever rode a bike. So i got used to the 600cc power. Is the mt 125 enough to handle day to day use? Also is it reliable enough to last for years?

    • @rohanstormbanks7601
      @rohanstormbanks7601 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@mindofvirtuoso3358 After riding a 600cc every bike under 300cc will seem very underpowered 2 yu... If u can cope with it, its a good bike to hav fun with... And yes, its the most reliable 125cc out there...

    I like 125s, and I’ve been (on and off) riding since the 1960s. Please, please, please, will you do an episode (at least) on what you did to your wife’s little Honda LDT bike to make it LDT capable. I’m attempting to make an Innova into an LDT-capable special. And yes, I know there are standard Innovas on the Exeter and LE. Les

    The 2014 model was the sweet spot for the R125 in my opinion, it was produced for one year only the face lift non abs is the best one.
    All R125,s from 2008 till present day have steel frames not alloy.

    Which one should I get, I love the look of the r125, but I get a bad back sometimes and fear the riding position might be painful, that being said I'll use it for fun and easy commutes, never long distance

    Yea that Bluetooth adds an extra ghost 5bhp, always yearning after that Bluetooth connectivity. Just imagine if they had that in the 90s be game changer. Can't wait for that snowflake connectivity to come out.

    How hard or easy are these to ride for a total newbie after doing a cbt test? I mean could one just toddle along in the city within speed limits and not lean down on corners etc? Love the sound of these but really don’t want to fall and mess myself up on the tarmac 😂

    • @vladambrosie2006
      @vladambrosie2006 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I don't own one yet but i want to get one this year when i turn 16, but from what I've heard these motorcycles(mt 125 and r125) are some of the best ones to start with and I am completely in love with both. If you can spend that kind of money on them they are the best in their category and no, if you know the basics of riding a bike, you won't have any problems falling if you are careful in traffic and corners. Practice leaning on corners and u will get better and better and the fear will fade away.
