Thanks for the characteristically thorough review, Chris.
Thank you for the kind words!
Got one of these for £400 per month, once I deduct the £200 I was spending on fuel a month I'm getting a £55k car for £200 per month..
Pleased for you!
Here in Australia the Solterra is priced the same as a BMW iX1. While I like the look of the Solterra - I suspect TotallyEV would recommend the iX1?
The iX1 is truly an excellent compact SUV, but it won't match the Subaru's list of standardised features or off-roading capabilities. Still, with that in mind, the iX1 would indeed be the recommendation.
Australia got a lot of sun shine, Solar energy will be suitable for recharge to the EV.
Not sure what they were thinking with this. They should have waited until they had the relevant knowledge to produce a competitive electric car before launching something so deficient.
Agreed.
Meh, two months on mine and it's perfect for city driving. Even taken a few small trips from Los Angeles to San Diego as well as the local mountains and the charge speed and range is more than enough. Plus, it just feels like any other Subaru I've driven, which is a plus.
What made you pick it over the alternatives?
@@TotallyEV I've been a Subaru owner for like 13 years. Always been reliable, love the AWD and safety of their vehicles. Plus, it just felt like I was driving a normal car. A few other EVs felt a little off.
@ChrisTamayo interesting, thanks for sharing! Did you not consider any of the alternatives then, such as the BMW iX1?
HIGHLY OVERPRICED AND NO USP!!!!!!
Ouf! Thanks for sharing.
USP?
Unique selling point
