I only use it at nights to guide hair as it first grows in , once it's long enough to shape with a softer wax that stuff is done lol .... I found it removes hairs thinning out the mustache .... melt a bees wax candle and add some oils and any scent you want and you can make a cheap wax and add Shea butter if it's too stiff
I dont mind this stuff - good for training at the early days of geowing out handlebar, just put in at night and the smell is alright if it was a bit lighter. Does leace a bit of white clumps wene using after oil.
I must’ve gotten a bad batch of this wax because regardless of my heating procedure, this wax is NOT a paste 😅. Very very rock hard and will ball up very bad
I love this stuff. In my opinion it's definitely a "firmish" hold. Perhaps not as firm as Captain Fawcetts Expedition Strength or the Bearded Chaps Old Time moustache wax but much firmer than Gunners Blend or the Bearded Bastards simply vanilla. However, it's great strength is that it's incredibly easy to apply and to use to mold the moustache compared to any other "strong hold" moustache waxes that i have used. No heating is required. No wax mess residue all over my fingers after using it. And I just use a dab of water on my fingers to freshen it up during the work day. That seems to reset it. I kind of agree re the scent profile. However, I have become used to it and am now at the point where I don't mind it at all. In fact, I now kind of quite like the smoky woodsy scent. But I do think that it's a strange decision by Prorasor to not use some of their other scents. I think that the proraso green or even the lime one in this formula would be a top seller. But for me, ease of use with a really strong hold that can be refreshed during the day with a few dabs of water overcomes the scent profile. I do accept that to some ppl the scent can be polarising.

Hi Justin. Thank you for reviewing the Proraso mustache wax. I have had an eye on it for quite a long time. I never bought it for two reasons: First, I don't like the scent. Although it is called "wood and spice" I smell something totally different, as you do too. I find it to be something medical, rather unpleasant. Second, in my country (Switzerland) it is sold at a price equivalent to 16,50 US$ in the supermarket, which I find over the top for just half an ounce. Can't understand, since we are a bordering country to Italy, where Proraso comes from. I am glad to hear that this moustache wax has a strong hold, which I did not expect. For the time being, I shall stick to my two favourite waxes, which is "Lockhart's" (for medium hold) and "Firehouse Taky" for strong hold. Regards, Patrick
you must have some crazy import tax or the stores just trying to rip you off. the combo that you currently have though seams to be a decent one. yes this one ahs a strong hold however not extra strong like the ones you already have. id have to add that its a strong hold however it does not hold as long as the other ones that I have reviewed.
@@30DayReviews Actually, Switzerland has one of the lowest import and sales taxes of all Europe. I guess the importer or wholesaler takes a decent margin 😖. the selection of moustache waxes is quite bad here, unfortunately. So I am used to ordering it abroad at very reasonable prices. The downside is postal fees. Anyhow, I am happy with my go-to products such as Lockhart's, Firehouse Tacky and Pinaud Clubman for its additional coloring effect. However, since you say that the Proraso wax has a relatively strong hold I shall grab a tin on my next trip across the border to Italy and give it a try.
I tried a Proraso "wax" and hated it because of the smell. It was obnoxiously strong, and after that one experiment the scent hung around on my comb for more than a week. If you have a good sense of smell, don't use Proraso. And this is not even considering how white and powdery it becomes after being applied.
I never had a powedery issue with mine i wonder if yours was ild. I will say that i agree with you on the scent its definatly not as plesent as other brands and does have a bit of an odd scent to it. What did you try after the prorosso?

is this a great light hold wax, if not, what would you recommend, i just need something to just move my moustache out of my mouth
well as the video states its a stiff hold so not a light hold. for a light hold im not sure as it kidna depends on your mustache style and hair type.

That "medical" smell might be the eucalyptus oil.
