Cool! Good job on the helpful and informative review. The 'stache is looking great with the Tacky! Thanks for your interest in our wax and we're glad you're enjoying it. Wanted to mention that clumping can also happen if there's any moisture on your hair, fingers, or comb when applying. Of course, after application water won't affect the wax. It looked like what you said though, that it was beading up in the comb so that was a good suggestion to clean it off with a paper towel to keep off any clumps. Thanks for the nice review and happy waxing!

I havent tried firehouse yet but am going to. I live in sweltering Mississippi andone thing you didn't mention is the guy who makes it is a fireman from Mississippi and tried to make a wax that would hold up in hot temperatures and high humidity and firehouse wacky tacky is what they came up with. Great review. Thanks

I LOVE this stuff been using for 2 years and nothing i have tried before came close to taming the heat and humidity in Texas. Awesome folks they put my picture up on their website. I get a lot of mileage out of a tin, I take an empty lip balm tube or a tube from a wax that didn't work and heat this up and scrape it out with a Kent comb and it stays warm in your pocket.

hey, yea its definitely a good product I have talked to the owners and your right they are good people over their for sure. that's not too bad of an idea you had there with the lip balm tube. you're also right about getting a lot of mileage out of a tin it sure does not take much that's for sure. thanks for watching and commenting

Yep and if you lose your tube you don't lose all your stash wax.

Just wanted to inform you that I have pulled the trigger and ordered 1 tin of the "Wack Tacky" and 1 tin of the "Dark Wax" at Firehouse. I am now using the Pinaud Clubman dark brown and the Captain Fawcett Expedition Strengh. I am not really happy with both. Pinaud is more water based and provides to little hold; I like the colouring though. CFES is too hard, it is a hassle to handle with and leaves a white-yellowish shine behind.

That's awesome man really hope you like it! I need to try some of there regular wax to see what the difference is, I have not heard of the Pinaud but I will be getting ahold of the Fawcett hopefully soon to do a review on and that's interesting as I have not heard about those issues with it I will definitely keep that in mind when I do a review of it

Since you are a pro of moustache waxes I think it would be a good idea to try out these two (Pinaud Clubman www.clubmanonline.com/clubman-moustache-wax-0-5-oz.html and Captain Fawcett Expedition Strength). It would be interesting to hear your thoughts about them, especially because you know a lot of different waxes to compare with. I am a newbie, I’ve had my mo for a couple of months only.
The Pinaud comes in a little tube, is soft and available in different colours, what I find a plus. It’s easy to apply and helps to cover up the big contrasts of colours in my moustache. I hope the FIREHOUSE DARK will be a help on this too. The FIREHOUSE WACKY TACKY might also help a little, because it is rather brown than off-white like most waxes. And it seems softer and easier to apply.
I shall come back in a while and tell (write) about my experiences.

DUDE, I actually have reviewed the clubman :) It was the very first review of mustache wax, you will probably have to go way back in the mustache wax playlist but its there :) thanks for the suggestion and don't worry Captain Fawcett review is going to happen :)

Cool, cool never tried death grip yet heard you need a blow dryer for that to harden. It's definitely one of the stronger ones I have.

I have always kept my stash trimmed at the lip line, but have decided to try letting it grow and shape a handlebar (not as long as yours probably). I went back thu all your wax reviews and it seems to me that this one is the best. I was concerned that the darker wax might be noticeable, but you assure me it isn't, so I am on the fence about whether to get the Tacky or the Light. If you plan to do a review of their Light soon, I will wait to order. I am in the early training stage just using beard balm since mine is still pretty short.

+Tim Kennedy I got the tacky and I have a light color Mustach and did not notice any significant color change

Thanks Justin. I visited their website and noticed that shipping costs the same for one or 2 tins, so maybe I will get one of each (Tacky & Light) and see which I like better. My mustache usually starts to annoy me after 3 weeks post trim, so I will have to get past that & get used to it.

I notice that it is VERY tacky and a little hard to apply. It does blend in and hold well. I have not had any problem with washing it out when I choose. I do notice that during the day and overnight it does seem to absorb and my stash then feels more "natural", but part of this may be because I use a VERY small amount in the AM. One the whole, I am very pleased with the product, but I will likely try the dark (not tacky) next time. A good friend gave me a mustache care kit for Christmas which includes a wax I never heard of and do not like at all. The first ingredient they list is petroleum. However, the kit did include scissors, a little comb and brush which will come in useful.
