As a Dutchman, I did expect the Netherlands to win. Though they do tend to take it easy in the first 3 rounds given their opposition. So it was hard to gage the quality of the Netherlands. In Brazil football is an acceptable career for just about any kid, if they're any good they'll try to make it into the national team. Advertisement is basically unnecessary XD
The Freedom Fries (which I hope will be the official team name starting today) has unfortionately lost. But we will return on home ground (We will probably loose in the group, but we can still claim we won by a lot).
Tbh beside England the Dutch showed the difference between a team and a Team. One knows there jobs and plays to it, the other is people just trying different things hoping for different outcomes and the Dutch exposed the yanks tournemant virginity in the sense of this is a really young team new to the World Cup and World Cup format
I'll admit it. I got consumed by the hopium and picked the USA to beat the Dutch. And honestly I didn't even think the player quality was all that different. It was just a gulf of coaching. Van Gaal vs Berhalter is like Bill Belichick vs your 10 year old cousin in his first game of Madden.
I think "we" /The Netherlands have learned from previous year against Czech Republic, Ussualy we used to rock the group matches and be tired or without inspiration left in the KO phase. Now it seems the other way arround. I think for USA it was still a good tournament, held a strong team as england at draw and defeated rivals iran to reach the best 16 of the world.
I’ll be honest- as an England fan, the USA have always surprised me and I knew they’d be good but not this good. If they had a better coach you would have been England. I knew Pulistic, Adams and McKennie were good but Musah is amazing. How we let him go I don’t know just like Musiala- I’m glad we’re making great talent now after a decade of nothing (even if they go to other countries). If you build on this tournament, focus away from ‘pay to play’ and create a wider grassroots base in all communities. Then you have a bright future and you never know- winning a World Cup might be in this century
Honestly you all should be proud that such a young team got this far into the tournament, look what happened to Canada who qualified ahead of the US for the World Cup, it's a good test for 2026
The USMNT was the second youngest team in the World Cup (average player 25.2 yo), Morocco is the fifth youngest (average player 26.2 yo) and as far as we know may go on to win the WC. The US got destroyed because their coach is actual fucking trash, not because their players are young lol
the USMNT is just a worse England team. Rather than a couple of world class players and some good ones they have a couple of good ones and some shit ones and the manager doesn’t know how to utilise what players he has
When Morocco does better than the Usa team, you know where complete dog because at least Morocco knows how to defend. Not to offend Morocco fans because the team of Morocco is actually good.
My only comment before, during and after the game was WTF was Zimmerman doing in the starting 11. Side note: I think Dest should become an RM/LM or a CM, he has way better attacking prowess than defensive prowess.
@@animeshpati5525 Van Gaal and Mourinho are very similar in that regard. Players should stick to the plan, and their position no matter what, with little room for freedom. The best American performance at this World Cup goes to Maqwell for absolutely fucking killing it with the content lately. Glad to see this channel explode in popularity over the last year.

In Brazil football is an acceptable career for just about any kid, if they're any good they'll try to make it into the national team. Advertisement is basically unnecessary XD
Usa is brain dead and keeps the pay to play model going, so that's pretty much impossible
And in Brazil poor people can play in clubs
For me, the goal for the USA Team was to advance from the group stage. They did that, so this WC was a success for me
USA get to semi finals in 2026 inshallah
The Freedom Fries (which I hope will be the official team name starting today) has unfortionately lost. But we will return on home ground (We will probably loose in the group, but we can still claim we won by a lot).
They're the Freedom Fries because of how much Freedom they gave 'Fries :)
this entire match is a louis van gaal masterclass, he puts berhalter back to school
I feel for you bro 😂 you went from watching champagne footy at the emirates to this display.
My issue with Greg is the lack of physical awareness of certain players, we had pretty much had players running of steam at the end of the tournament.
Ngl I hope USMT goes further in the next World Cup cause fr Maqwell makes it interesting asf
It was a decent run for such a young team, 2026 should be the World Cup this squad performs at its peak
Still wouldnt get them further then quaters I guess
you shouldn’t say that unless Greg berhalter is gone
Copuim
doubt with that crap attack and berhalter looking bald as ever they wont perform
We all know Gregg must go
Tbh beside England the Dutch showed the difference between a team and a Team.
Gg netherlands. you guys looked unstoppable making those easy trail passes to humiliate our defense. Good luck moving forward and see you guys in 2026
Also to my fellow Americans? Why do we hate Alexi Lalas so much? Just asking
The 1st time in history America entered and left a middle east country peacefully.
Absolutely hilarious video. With committing war crimes you could be ruler of a team playing in the cup 🤣
5:47 I was watching 4chan's threads and by the end of the game the thread for the match was filled with the words "I CAN'T SCORE!" lol.
They wouldn’t have beaten England calm down 😂 the USMNT doesn’t have as much talent as they think.
Yeah gotta thank the coach of team usa for making the Dutch look amazing.
First good game I saw of my country this whole tournament
Honestly you all should be proud that such a young team got this far into the tournament, look what happened to Canada who qualified ahead of the US for the World Cup, it's a good test for 2026
The USMNT was the second youngest team in the World Cup (average player 25.2 yo), Morocco is the fifth youngest (average player 26.2 yo) and as far as we know may go on to win the WC. The US got destroyed because their coach is actual fucking trash, not because their players are young lol
@@AnglosArentHuman I mean, you got a point, still don't think morocco will win though
the USMNT is just a worse England team. Rather than a couple of world class players and some good ones they have a couple of good ones and some shit ones
and the manager doesn’t know how to utilise what players he has
When Morocco does better than the Usa team, you know where complete dog because at least Morocco knows how to defend.
Not to offend Morocco fans because the team of Morocco is actually good.
Me: Tells my mom that the US is playing well.
The Netherlands 2 seconds later: goal.
Me again: Everything is fine. 😎😎😔
6:05 Have I ever told the definition of insanity
My only comment before, during and after the game was WTF was Zimmerman doing in the starting 11.
Side note: I think Dest should become an RM/LM or a CM, he has way better attacking prowess than defensive prowess.
0:52 when he pulled out that god awful thing called a club I projectile vomited
I’ve been waiting for this one, TURN IT UPPP
“LVG is not known for his attacking football” mate he won the champions league only attacking😂
Still, he's sticks to his tactics and doesn't adjust, for example if he has assigned a player a certain role, it means they'll play there only
@@animeshpati5525 and it does work so far we're undefeated
@@animeshpati5525 Van Gaal and Mourinho are very similar in that regard. Players should stick to the plan, and their position no matter what, with little room for freedom. It's great for knockout tournaments, but maybe not that great anymore in league play as these types of tactics lead to a lot of draws and that is no longer good enough to win any major European league.
I was a but sad you were in pain wearing a Spurs shirt because they're my favorite club, but then I realized it was THAT shirt and I fully understand now.
Sad part is there are reports Greg is going to be given a new contract😢
Bro if Daley blind scores on you
Your Team is Ass
It was still a good run considering how young the team was. I had fun watching them.
The first dutch goal was in the air when they were beginning to get away from the pressing that easily
he brought back the pain
I would love Bielsa as US coach. Would suit as well I think.
who is usa coach any way i never heard of the man name why he get the job
There’s a lot of young talent coming through from the US I think that 2026 will be a US team the world will fear as many will be in their prime!
Hopefully we will have better management
@@cryptic_shock I don’t really watch the US play but from what I’ve seen at this World Cup and From fans (Like Maqwell) Gregg Berhalter is shocking from this World Cup alone you can tell he has no tactics and doesn’t know how to make tactical subs (Zimmerman for example if your already playing defence bring him on earlier not with 10 mins left of the game(in reference to the Iran game))
In your dreams lmao. Cope and seethe.
@@charisma8180 don’t even support USA lol dnc
"a US team the world will fear" might be a bit over the top but they'll definitely have a strong team
Proud of this team, but also disappointed knowing it could been so much more
should have played carter-vickers, he's your best defender and the only game you won was the one he played in.
Will you do a last 16 review?
gregg is the definition of insanity
Can’t wait for Maqwell to drop a video on the Gregg Berhalter vs Reyna family saga
😂no cap I was laughing hard asf when you roasting the us team
so this confirms it, the us away jersey is better than the home one
You've heard of cross and insha'Allah, but that was cross and God bless America. As a Dutchman who loves your content I've been waiting for this Max
4:41 noone escapes the 'ahla bikum arhbo'
If the USA gets a competent manager we might actually be able to do good in international football
Tbh when I saw Haji Wright’s goal I thought it was an own goal by the Dutch at first 😂
The best American performance at this World Cup goes to Maqwell for absolutely fucking killing it with the content lately. Glad to see this channel explode in popularity over the last year.
Daamn maxwell got the tottenham swimming kit
Reyna needed more play time
Time traveller: *Moves a chair*
The timeline: 1:03
I would have played a 5-2-3 with Adam’s and McKenzie as the cm and musa pulisic and Sargent as your three attackers. Would have allowed dest and Jedi to be more attack minded and given them less responsibilities defensively. Just a though Greg
Gregg: Have you watched the rest of the World and how they play Football, it's like their playing a different sport than WE ARE!
Unrelated but you're a broncos fan. Yikes that's rough
All I have to say is... those blue jerseys are actually super underrated
I had no hope that the US were gonna beat the Dutch, the Mexicans played way better against the Dutch.
This would be like me having to wear a NY Red Bulls kit as an NYC FC fan (I'm also a Chelsea fan who doesn't really hate the Spurs but DOES hate Arsenal quite a lot...so sorry to say, but I def would feel squirmy in an Arsenal kit).
Bruh, don’t go in the ocean. There’s already enough plastic in it.
Bro I can’t fathom why they left so many holes for passes like they can’t defend and I watched a hour of Greg being the dumbest coach 😭
COYS. And as an American that game was very frustrating.
The Spurs Away shirt from the NES e Conte season is way better looking n i bet you could bear it if you wore wearing it
Are u from NC did u go to the Charlotte watch party?
F for Maqwell for wearing the Tottenham shirt, though i admit i like the colors of black purple and green. I don't think it's as bad as people say :)
That is amazing USA team lose the game in world cup tournament. What is suprised for American 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Well its definitely not called soccer anymore.
I wasn't disappointed we lost, I was disappointed how we lost. The poor play was just sad.
What did you expect against a team ten times better than you?
@@j_james_01we're currently ranked 11th, they're ranked 7th... it's not a massive gap like this game made it seem like, but regardless they're better. The issue is Berhalters tactics are very ineffective despite having a squad who is very skilled and capable of very good showings. We just beat Uzbekistan 2-0 under Berhalter. Like we should be smashing their face in all day long, but we couldn't even get more than 2 goals despite having an entire team of top 5 league players and Uzbekistan not even having 1. So that's the issue, his tactics are horribly ineffective and our young skillful squad's potential is being wasted. Unless Berhalter can get it together (which he hasn't done in 5 years) we might not even make it out of groups in 2026, definitely not KO round just like 2022.
@@city6291 fifa rankings mean nothing 😂😂😂 you’re only ranked that highly because you play in concacaf and farm trophies against Honduras and Trinidad 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@j_james_01 so you agree the USMNT has a horrible coach with terrible tactics despite decent talent (not world class or anything, but certainly not bad anymore). And that we lost that game in embarrassing fashion because of berhalters horrible non competitive high school tactics.
GREGG BERHALTER’S CONTRACT ENDED DECEMBER 31 LET’S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
maqwell, pls do a video of the berhalter reyna dispute
I understand the frustration but I think you're being a bit harsh on the US team. This tournament was an overall success. They played well and showed a lot of promise but were naive in their approach in some games. 2026 will be a great tournament for the US, I'm sure
It wasn’t really a success, we did the bare minimum and the manner in which we lost was embarrassing
@@Agtsmirnoff I don't think it was embarrassing. The US played well and controlled the game but gone done by a more experienced and clinical team. They will get there
@@benclarkey1412 The USA never really controlled that game, come out. Having possession =/= control
Nice breakdown. 👍
12:03 I can relate to do this as an Ajax fan
Gregg Berhalter standing on the touchline like "have I ever told you the definition of instanity"
As a brit that hates the england team i thought the usa were very impressive for a reasonably young side
Yeah you’re definitely a Brit 😂 ok American
I didn't watch USA v Netherlands but I did watch my boys from Croatia sending Japan home by penalties and the same thing with Spain and Morocco where the latter advanced through with so much happiness.
I hope we beat Brazil. Selecao doesn't have much confidence like Vatreni do.
I think Croatia has the best midfield, they have a good chance in my opinion even against a team like Brazil. I think France is the biggest challenge for Croatia, they where beaten in Nations league but when it comes to WC/EC France have always been their nemesis..
You look great in a Spurs kit, COYS💙
I rooted for mexico but honestly i was hoping canada or yall could make it farther bc i feel like with mexico it difficult to know bc of what we have been going through but yall had a vision. I just really hope people understand that yall are progressively doing better than mexico, corruption took over mexico and its hard to see mexico or mexican teams play. I hipe we get that level back, but you guys, i hope yall get stronger and represent concacaf better, well at least untill mexico gets their shit together lol.
Though I can’t see myself getting into soccer at the club level, USMNT made me a fan and I can’t wait to see what they’ll do at Copa America
even is US somehow managed to get past the Dutch they would have faced Argentina and it would have been even worse
You know you liked wearing that! You can't fool me!
