8-7 Comically, I always found walking on those blocks awkward, so I actually preferred to jump the whole level every time the block rotated. It worked out MUCH better for me.

Some of the levels you said that were impossible are actually possible.
You can just face right, and back flip many times.
And you also don't need a cat suit to move left. Just find a wall, wall jump, and start rolling to the left.
