    Honestly I love Subarus but I’d go with the Mazda

    • @dave11686
      @dave11686 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Brian Lee I’m kind of impartial about CVTs. I did learn how to drive on one, so I honestly would prefer Subaru compared to say Nissan and I think Toyota CVTs are probably among the best.
      The Mazda for me, gives you way more bang for the buck

      The Mazda looks way better and the driving experience is on a different level. If you’re sorta outdoorsy and want more storage space, I can see the appeal of the Impreza though.

    Oh boy, love to see an (almost same trim) car as mine! 2022 Impreza Sport 5 Door with the manual, been a blast thus far.

  • @bwofficial1776

    The new Imprezas can be optioned with the 181hp 2.5L. It needs that extra 30hp.
    Subaru can't give Imprezas away but with a slight lift and some cladding they fly off the lot as Crosstreks.

  • @-_-_m

    The 2022 Subaru Impreza certainly is one of the cars ever made.

    Best review of the car I've seen. I appreciate detailed view of every part of interior, other car reviewers just skim through interior without explaining anything

    Owned both, it's no comparison .....
    If you want to be comfortable, no rush driving, bad weather/ road ... Subaru is the choice.
    If you are driving fast, Mazda is the choice as long the roadway is smooth (I have the front suspension replaced twice)

    Excellent comparison. Been comparing both of these models. Had a 2016 Impreza and loved it. I think I would go with the Impreza.

    The engines are not shared between the Impreza and the BRZ. Impreza has an FB20 (152 HP) while the BRZ has an FA20 (200 HP).
    I had a loaner Impreza like this once. It’s a good solid car, but I would pay a little more for a Crosstrek

    • @Kacpa2
      @Kacpa2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Exactly. These are very closely related tho. Minus D4S injection system from toyota and ofc tuning for higher revs and more power.

    • @theamazinggoldfish8713
      @theamazinggoldfish8713 ปีที่แล้ว

      With the Crosstrek (up to the 23) you have an 6 speed manual option and only the 5 speed for the Impreza; but no manuals for either going into 2024....🏹🤠👍

      I added pinstripes to the side and hood on the curve lines and it makes it Pop! I've also done other external modifications and have one more item to order from the side of the Subaru. It really can look quite modern if you highlight it.....🏹🤠👍

      Unbelievable

    • @bizmonkey007
      @bizmonkey007 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It’s mainly just the Impreza - the styling is very basic and muted. The ‘24 model gives it a more modern look but it’s still not in the same stratosphere as the Mazda3.

    Mazda all the way! The Subaru looks like a car from 2012 instead of 2022. Subarus always feel a generation or two behind the competition and I live somewhere where AWD isn’t a necessity so there’s nothing else going for them for me.

  • @Kilaueaorph4n

    I’m truly curious about the gear change times in manual mode for both. Did you try it?

  • @Memesfromthestreets

    I’ve got a 2018 model of this in white, seats are comfy, AC blows ice cold, heat burns (which is good), and everything else is nice. Too bad it’s underpowered and has a CVT.

    I considered this before buying a 22 Mazda3, i liked it a lot but the 2.0s lack of power killed it for me

  • @boost331
    @boost331 ปีที่แล้ว

    The engine isnt shared with the BRZ. Sure they are both 2.0 boxers but totally different internally with drastically different power output.

  • @blackedout5.0fan39
    @blackedout5.0fan39 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hello! I don't mean to be insulting or anything like that but you mentioned that the Impreza shares its engine with the BRZ. I would like to respectfully correct you as the Impreza has the FB20 (naturally aspirated) which is an open deck engine. The BRZ has the FA20 which is a closed deck engine and makes a little more power

    Hmm, I like the Forester the best, several upgrades from the Impreza, and more room too.

    I’d do the Mazda but get a CX-5. I think any Mazda sedan or the CX-3 or CX-30 is ugly on the inside for this generation. Definitely recommend a CX-5 or bigger.
