That guitar solo is an emotional eruption, and after 25 times it still transports me into space.

My mother knows someone that grew up with him, (I've actually been able to meet him myself), he told her that the only reason that he put out songs like "Your Body is a Wonderland" just so he could put out the blues today. I've watched this video many many times, always focusing on that amazing set of licks at 5:35, which I have always thought are some of mayer's best. Did not realize until recently that the lick is a note for note recreation of the vocals in the outro of Aerosmith's "What it Takes," and that the lyrics of said vocals are "I don't wanna burn," in a song called "slow dancing in a burning room." I've watched this video many many times, always focusing on that amazing set of licks at 5:35, which I have always thought are some of mayer's best. Did not realize until recently that the lick is a note for note recreation of the vocals in the outro of Aerosmith's "What it Takes," and that the lyrics of said vocals are "I don't wanna burn," in a song called "slow dancing in a burning room." Not only is it really really clever, but the execution is so perfect; you can hear the guitar singing that lyric
