@@TreyEversman Did you have any trouble with the "knee" joints? Mine won't line up properly. No matter what, unless I sand the shape differently, the bolt hole will not line up.
I didn’t..not too worried about sealing the paint when I want it to look as battle damaged as possible..further damage will only help it! 🙃 Thanks for tuning in!
Looks amazing. Just wondering about the sanding and which filament you used? PLA+, PETG? Thanks for the great vid. Apologies, just seen the list of materials used... thanks!
Because the bondo with acetone is toxic, I have been using a lot of acrylic modeling paste. It can be spread really thin and sands well after its fully cured.
AMAZING!!!! just starting my build tonight. can you give me fiinshed dimensions and any tips on what to print. there are so many fiels and I am confused. like mandoloiran this or that. any help. or where I should go?
Great question but I’m not totally sure..I think 3-4 spools ($80) assorted screws ($10) metal rod ($8) & paint (used my Mando paint that I already had) putting it around $100..that’s my best guess. For print time, a couple of weeks but it all depends on your printer and print settings. Hope this helps and thanks for tuning in! 🙏
Amazing tutorial bro thank you for this! One question tho, I bought that exact light and cannot for the life of me figure out how you were able to remove the plastic so easily. Did you just brute strength it prior to the video? Or did you buy a slightly different model?
Thanks so much! The one I listed in the description is the exact one I got. I always refer to my Amazon cart when listing stuff out lol. I'm trying to think back on it..I don't remember it being that tough to remove..maybe try prying it off with a flat head. Sorryyyy but I hope this helps! Thanks for tuning in!
@@TreyEversman I believe the listing you have linked is a different model than the one you have in the vid I think they might have just updated it lol but I figured it out easily enough just had to unscrew those tiny screws and it fell right out. Ty!
Thanks so much! That’s what I love about these..there are no rules for your droid. I just love the thought of my pit droid being being pieced together with old parts from the Droid Depot. I feel like it gives a backstory and so much character without saying much. Cheers!
Great Video Trey! I am starting my pit droid next week, and your video just made it look even more fun!! Thank you!
Hey thanks for the comment..I appreciate it! Thanks..this is such a fun build, best of luck with yours and let me know if you have any questions!

Great info... Thanks for sharing. Yay Bob Ross!
Absolutely! Thanks for tuning in!
sweet droid build! I've wanted to make one of these for so long. Awesome work man!
Oh man..I really appreciate that!! Big fan of your builds!
Wow trey, just love this vid.
You really show the whole process exactly as I approach it myself, including always go with happy accidents :)
Gotta love happy accidents! Thanks so much!
Great video. I was wondering dd you do a clear coat on it ? If so did you do it before ort after weathering ?

Tell me more about your dog! We've got a Labradoodle that looks just like him!
That's my baby Bella! She's a 1 yr old labradoodle and my sidekick! They are the best dogs!
I just starting printing this exact model!
Awesome! Droid Division is the best!
Super helpful video thanks! Are you going to be doing a b1 droid?
Hey thank you and thanks for tuning in! No current plans for a B1 but I'm almost done the printing process for the IG-12 😂 🙌 🙌
Because the bondo with acetone is toxic, I have been using a lot of acrylic modeling paste. It can be spread really thin and sands well after its fully cured.
Hmmm..that's interesting..any particular brand?
@@TreyEversman Not really. I used Masters Touch from Hobby Lobby on my last project because it was 40 percent off. 16 ounce jar was less than 8 bucks.
@@brokentuskgarage interesting..I’ll have to check it out!
Super cool!

These files are by Droid Division on Etsy. He's about 3 ft tall once assembled! Hope this helps!
How long was the overall print time and how many spools did you end up using?
Hey there! I forget actual time in hours but it was about 2-3 weeks on 2 Reality CR10s and about 4-5 spools. Hope this helps and thanks for tuning in!
Love your work. What brand and model of 3D printer do you use to make your creations?
Thank you so much!! I have 2 Creality CR10s ProV2’s. 🙏
Hey awesome video and tips! Im building my first droid now and following along. Which size antennas did you use? The link has a few options.
Hey there! Thanks so much! I got the 4mm x 300mm ones. Hope this helps and thanks for tuning in! 🍻
@@TreyEversman it does! Thank you so much
What do you use for the eyes?
For the chrome part? It's in the video and linked in the description..🙃
Great build 👍
Thanks so much! I appreciate that!
Great Video. How large of a work space do you need to 3D print this droid? Lastly, how long did it take to print the parts?
I appreciate that! I printed everything on a CR10s Pro V2 and I would say it took a solid few weeks printing non stop. Thanks for tuning in!
How much filament did you use on your pit droid?
My guesstimate is about 3-4 rolls but it all depends are you print/infill settings
I have an Elegoo Neptune 4 Plus. Will the files fit on the build plate or will I have to cut objects to fit?
So Droid Division gives you smaller printer files as well! For instance, there are files that split the head in 2. Hope this helps and happy printing!
@@TreyEversman awesome! Yes this helped me a lot. I did not know that about the files. Thank you so much for getting back to me
Wonder how well a 3D printer would make fishing lures🤔…awesome build cuz!! Always impressed! A+
I mean it's ALL plastic so probably pretty good! 😂 Thanks cuz!!
Can you please tell me Where you purchased the black pieces on the antennas?
Those pieces were 3d printed and a part of the files! 🙌
That’s awesome 🙌🏻 I just bought the files from him too…I’m blaming you 😉
@@TammyMcInnis hahaaa the files are even better now too because they come with the stand! I’m printing that now 💪

Can you provide the name of the puck light? The link in the comments goes to an empty page. Or a new link. Thanks.

What size nozzle did you use?
Both my CR10s have the stock .4 nozzle. Hope this helps!

how was the total cost of this guy after parts and filament?
what was the rough total print time ?

@@TreyEversman thank you sir
hi i have a friend that wants me to print this for him , could you tell me how much filament were gonna need to make this ?
I would say I used about 4 rolls with about 10% infill on every piece. Hope this helps!
@@TreyEversman thanks fella .,
@@andyrichards4114 you got it! Thanks for tuning in!
How much filament did you need as the website says 3 to 4 kg
Shoot..I would say around that or less. I did 10% infill on all the pieces. 🙏
You just had to slap Mando extra with using his paint 🤣
