Absolutely, we didn't expand on that with this particular mapping, but Traktor's "open" architecture allows you to map whatever you need, where you need it, regardless of which controller you use. I hope this helps!
@MrFlyboygully, you are very correct. When we first were going to map the NS6 to traktor we used the .tsi file that Numark provided, but for some reason it didn't work fully. Our Marketing Manager tweaked around and created a "Frankenstein" .tsi mapping to work with the NS6. That is why we are providing one on our blog.

Yes it will work with Virtual DJ Pro. Not sure about LE when doing MIDI mapping but I know Pro allows you to do MIDI mapping. For the best price on the Numark NS6, head on over to UniqueSquared.
The S4 or NS6 depending on if you want to use Serato Itch, or Traktor. Traktor has much better FX, and the S4 has the tightest midi protocol with the software. The 4Trak is very nice, too, but overall the S4 has a better layout for controllerist style mixing. I hope this helps!
Okay, yeah, you can map effects and other bits like samples to another controller like the X1 or the Vestax Pad One quite easily in Traktor. I hope this helps, cheers!

One last thing: Do you need a special sound card (e.g. dual stereo output) for your laptop when sourcing 2 tracks from your laptop? I came here to enquire about the platter LEDs in the NS6 working with Traktor Pro 2 but I notice someone has already done so. Ive completely remapped the X1 and parts of the NS6 to my liking but the platter LEDs are the only thing I cannot sus. Is possible to inform me when you've cracked it or do I need to keep checking here or on your website??? Thanx for your work so far... Invaluable!!

@electricmaster23 Okay my friend, I misunderstood what you meant by overlays. The waveforms cannot be configured in a side by side manner. Traktor has a phase meter instead that lets you know if your track is ahead or behind of the other(s). Native will accommodate any purchases made in July. They're very good at customer service. I have not experienced latency using Traktor with my Mac, but I have had the preferences stall a bit when I had too many mappings in my controller editor. Check that first, and if it continues, especially during playback, you might want to enlist NI tech support. Let me research the mapping issue and get back to you.

@Uniquesquared Yes! that's what I meant! :P Say you assign one "Track A" to Deck 1 and assign "Track 2" to Deck 2 on your laptop. You can have both files running off a stock sound card within Traktor, then crossfade between the two decks using the S4 control... Right? :P

Let me get this straight, 1: you can DJ with the decks by using the mp3/wav files on the computer as the source instead of CDs if you want, right? and 2. does traktor 2 support beatmatching in the sense of making track A be the same bpm as track b and if so, just it support visual overlay? I find this to be very helpful! Thanks :))
Hey man, great job on the mapping! However. the only issue I am having is cueing over the headphones. When I press the cue button to prep my next track nothing is playing over the headphones. Although, I can hear the master mix over the headphones when I blend the fader knob. Any suggestions on getting the cue function to work? Maybe I have to remap something? Thanks!
I have the sample decks done! Just have to figure out the led's changing colors when sample decks are empty/loaded. Can now trigger samples individually!
@omangas297 also, is it possible with this mapping, to have decks a and b playing as normal track slots, but have c and d run as sample banks and have them controlled by an x1 or by the keyboard, while having the ns6 plugged in at the same time?

Im having a bit of trouble with the original Ns6 tsi files and the instructions in the numark ns6 manual. When importing numark tsi files according to their instructions you lose the sample deck control. After deleting the maps and re-importing them same thing. After looking at the controller mapping I realized that both come with maps for everything with the exception that both do not come with control of decks 3 and 4 and sample decks when switching. It seems that the two cannot coexist.
I really want the LED's on the platters to work with the mapping. Is there any way to get them to work on traktor pro 2? I downloaded the tsi file and everything work except the LED's circling around the platters ..

I have the NI Maschine,Kontrol X1 Audio 8 DJ and Traktor Pro and I was leaning to get the S4 just to complete my set up with NI products but I honestly like the NS6 better,it looks more professional. Am I gonna miss the loop recorder from the S4? probably, but I really like the possibility in the future to incorporate Bridge into Itch...who knows? It might happen one day...So I made my mind, and I'll be buying the NS6 soon.
Madflip, I also have terrible latency with the ns6 and traktor on both my pc laptop and Mac Pro Desktop both I7 Quad Core 2.66 with 8 and 12 gigs of ram. On Serato Itch latency isn't an issue it's excellent. What's up with the latency when using with Traktor? Also, track deck and sample deck control cannot coexist on the ns6, you have to use one map or the other, you cannot use both of Numarks TSI maps even though page 3 of the Numark/Traktor tells you to import both.
So what's up with the Sampler Decks? Can you not control them with this map? With the .tsi files from Numark website you can control decks 3 and 4 with the audio decks tsi map or sacrifice control of decks 3 and 4 for full control of the sample decks, you have to load the sample deck tsi file, You cannot load both. So Dj Madflip, is it possible to control the sample decks from the NS6 as well as audio decks 3 and 4 when you want to switch back to 4 non sample decks?

I downloaded your mapping and threw it into Traktor... and it double mapped some things. Like my Volume 2 Slider got mapped to Volume 2 and Deck 1 Pitch Control. Help?
Yo, Madflip; so I stood up all night tooling around with the mapping and I was able to work out a decent mapping for traktor pro I have the led lights around the platters working, the browser, all effects etc..Sample decks, I don't have full control but I'm close.... I'm just getting used to video recording and screen capture so forgive me for the quality of sound and picture in the video, I don't know why youtube won't let me link my own video. But it's on my page
I just wanted to let you know what I did in terms of the audio set-up. I found it strange in the beginning as the volume was all over the place, the headphones were too low or too high. The way I fixed this, and this might resolve nationofhoop123's problem is by simply removing the headphone and master mapping whereby I manually set the Master on 0% as it should be. However, when I hook up sth to the device and flip the switch to input it doesn't show up on the software, can someone help?
i know this is an old vid, but when it comes to mapping filters to controllers that don't have enough room, i always just delete the high band eq and map the filter to that knob instead

Torq 2.0 is MIDI mappable so you can map the NS6 to Torq 2.0. Check out AVID's website which has an update for Torq with NS6 compatibility.

There should be a button labeled Import at the bottom of the Preferences page when the Controller Manger menu is selected.

@matloh13 It doesn't have quite the same feel as when used with Serato Itch, but it is still very accurate.

You can map Traktor to just about any MIDI device, which one were you considering so we can help you a little better?
