i have been going through the same decision for the last 5 days... I think I am going with the NS6 - everyone says it has more features and they love the feel of the jog weels + it has a metal face plate instead of the S1's plastic face plate. 4 channels too! I am going to preview the NS6 soon, and my friend has the S1... so i will let you know!
@Cityj0hn I appreciate your comments always and you've given us great support, too. While I respect your opinion I really don't think it's fair to continue to bash our friend. We don't need to convince you that he's a good DJ because at the end of the day it doesn't matter. Your opinion is based purely on this one take performance and we could have done several takes and edited to perfection, but we didn't. If you made DJ videos, too I assure I would show you the same respect. Thanks again.
@Uniquesquared I'm sorry I can be a bit of an extreme over the top critic at times. don't read anything into it, no serious bash intended. I Promise to think twice about my choice of words since I really do believe Unique Squared makes the best reviews out there and it's obviously total madness out of all channels to bash here, please forgive my momentary lapse. Keep up the good work, Thanks.
@cowboygrillz Make sure you properly grid your tracks in Itch so that when you use the sync it will not try to match a 140 bpm track with a 70 bpm. You can search for tracks where the magnifying glass is in the upper right of you track listings. Make sure you have "all" selected, or the folder that you're searching. I hope this helps!
The NS6 will not allow timecode streaming to the computer through the controller inputs unless you have software like Scratch Live and hardware like their soundcard the SL3 or SL4. For the best price on Numark gear, head on over to the UniqueSquared website.
Thats true I,ve been a dj for 28 years and its true now anyone can be a dj it doesnt matter what you use forget about two turntables and a mixer now is all about serato software and controllers so am going to buy me a NS6 fuck It.
I'm new to the controller game... I have the ns6 but the sound from the songs are still coming out of the laptop speakers?? yet when I go to close the software (vdj pro), the warning beep comes out of 'towers?? any ideas?
@Cityj0hn He said this was the first controller he's used and during 2:40 until 2:52, he is selecting a track. Don't see you putting out any videos of you DJing. Keep up the good work U2...
@schrock1 So "he's a DJ in Atlanta" means he is allowed to fail mixing even when pre-editing tracks and cutting beats? You clearly missed my channel description I see. Go read it.
@gtg795v He's scratching his head and is unsure what to do next. If my comment is not valid because I don't upload my sets then yours is just as much so, this voids your argument. Maybe if you scratched your head too...
Ah who gives a crap cause anybody with a fancy controller now can be a dj. Prettty soon we wont need ppl standinf behind a controller, the controller themselves will be DJs. Just plug that suckr in leave it in the corner of the room. No human needed
how can that guy be a DJ for 10 years now!? No mixing ability what so ever, if you engage in a disaster of a transition like the one at 1:37 in any dutch club you don't just get a big boo but people will literally leave. Did that "DJ" edit the tracks he was going to play at 1:37, wrongly add that cheap sample and cut the beat before he loaded it into Serato? because that is exactly what it looks like. Look at him 2:40 till 2:52, does that look like a DJ to anyone? Wack him on the head...

@headset93 its the serato itch itself that has the effects, ns6 just activates them. so its the same as usual, flangers, crusher, echo, reverb etc

@xlildeebomb13x You can select LPF/HPF in the effects and use the slider and parameter knob to tweak them. I hope this helps!
are you able to input turntables to it as a controller/turntable set up? for example: 2 scratch live vinyl decks plus 2 controller decks
Yes, but not directly. You can use it with the NS6 via the software.
@Cityj0hn
He DJ's in Atlanta, this is his first time using a controller and where are your DJ videos?
Thats true I,ve been a dj for 28 years and its true now anyone can be a dj it doesnt matter what you use forget about two turntables and a mixer now is all about serato software and controllers so am going to buy me a NS6 fuck It.
Is Possible Use NumarK Ns6 as Interface / Mixer + vinyl serato + Virtual Dj ??
@KungFuChess Don't you mix music on an iPad?
I'm new to the controller game... I have the ns6 but the sound from the songs are still coming out of the laptop speakers?? yet when I go to close the software (vdj pro), the warning beep comes out of 'towers?? any ideas?

i'm thrilled with my ns6. it's a great piece of hardware. try using it without that sync button though, unlike this guy in the demo
I'm from Atlanta. Never heard of DJ Danny M. I'll look for him next time though.
Can you link the NS6 with a midi fighter??
@schrock1

Does this have the filter knobs?
@KungFuChess Remember... It's not important what equipment you use, but how you play and what flow you have...
Anyone else notice the apc 40 on in the background?
awesome... cut the fricken camera away right in the middle of beat matching @2:55 the part i'm most interested in
Forget equipment. Being a DJ is going back to the Bambatta days. It's all about your crates. Deep crates trump fancy effects anyday.
we use the same headphones
Hey what FX does the NS6 have?? someone plzz respond thank you ^^
this or pioneer s1?????
@HuntedHouseMusic honestly it depends on your style
walking down the street as you do with a numark ns6 hahahahah that's a bit unsafe lol
@djjaybishop DOUBT
What the hell is he doing beginning from 3:00
No need to use the computer! He uses the comp to select songs real funny you can tell he doesnt use this controller on the daily
@gtg795v
He's scratching his head and is unsure what to do next.
If my comment is not valid because I don't upload my sets then yours is just as much so, this voids your argument.
Maybe if you scratched your head too...
@gtg795v Agreed!
waveform lag !! :S
5D Mark ii hahaha yuuuhh
