    @96DanielX Thanks for the question. I prefer the S4 until the T1 can be upgraded to non-proprietary version of Traktor. Buying the X1 is also a great option for advanced control with the MT Pro, too. I guess it depends on your budget and how soon you need it for your gigs. I hope this helps!

  • @uniquesquared
    @uniquesquared  13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @chidamole True, it is about your preference and I can respect your decision to use turntables.

  • @uniquesquared
    @uniquesquared  12 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The S1 is built to integrate with Serato and the other two are for Traktor. It really depends on which software package you prefer.

    @TheTayuco Hey man, thanks for the comment! You can check the price on our website I linked for you in the description. Click "Show More" just below the video to see the link. Did you find it?

  • @uniquesquared
    @uniquesquared  13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @AMAROLAS It depends on what software you are more comfortable with. NS6 is 4 deck control on Serato Itch, and the DDJT1 is 4 decks with Traktor. We will have another NS6 review soon when they arrive. Thanks for the question.

  • @uniquesquared
    @uniquesquared  13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @Pedroandbobtv Yes, it comes with it and you can record mixes directly to your laptop within the software. It's brilliant. I hope this helps!

  • @uniquesquared
    @uniquesquared  12 ปีที่แล้ว

    @Philliegirl1 No, you must run the software on a laptop or desktop. The S1 is for Serato Itch, and the T1 uses Traktor. I hope this helps!

  • @uniquesquared
    @uniquesquared  13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @NicolasBoucan Yes, you can connect it to the master output.

  • @uniquesquared
    @uniquesquared  12 ปีที่แล้ว

    @MikeElAngeloMusic This is a Traktor controller. It comes with a Pioneer edition but you can use Traktor Pro or TP 2.

  • @uniquesquared
    @uniquesquared  13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @DJTableSkraps17 You can record your mix inside of Traktor. Make sure you assign your record output to internal. I hope this helps!

  • @uniquesquared

    Both are great controllers with similar but not the exact same functionality. You will find differences in the layout, the construction, and how they work with Traktor. A lot of folks swear by Pioneer's hardware and the S4 is quickly becoming a favorite of many DJ's. Its a tough choice between the two so I would suggest going on the UniqueSquared website and using out Live Chat feature to get more answers. Thanks!

    @Uniquesquared I haven't been limited at all i'm doing what I enjoy doing with equipment I enjoy using. i used to have a vestax vci 100 and an efx midi controller running traktor pro before i had CDJ, and now i have turntables. It's just down to preference. My attitude does not mean i get left behind or feel limited, i'm not interested in using the latest efx so i'm just doing what I want to do. I could do more with the equipment i used to own, I prefer what i got now, it's not my loss at all.

  • @uniquesquared
    @uniquesquared  13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @djchiclet Yes, in the Traktor software. It's sharp curve is excellent for scratching.

  • @uniquesquared
    @uniquesquared  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    The type of microphone used should only matter in terms of fidelity and not compatibility with the DDJ-T1's mic pres. It's possible that this is a software configuration issue. Try this:
    In Traktor, go to deck C or D and set it from "Sample" or "Track deck" to live input an make sure you choose "Mic" and not AUX on the front of the deck.
    The folks at Guitar Center are likely confused by all this new technology. Shop with us here at UniqueSquared for the best prices and service.

  • @uniquesquared
    @uniquesquared  13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @aimaann You can try and midi map it for VDJ. I don't see why not.

  • @uniquesquared
    @uniquesquared  13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @polli2132 Check in the Traktor preferences under Mixer. Under Mixer layout enable view of the cross fader and make sure the software is reading the movement. If not do a calibration under controller management for the all of your faders. I hope this helps.

    This is a fantastic review!
    And so are all your other reviews on DJ controllers
    IT really helped me when I was looking to buy one and I ended up with the DDJ T1
    and its fantastic. thank you so much for the info, keep it up!

  • @uniquesquared
    @uniquesquared  13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @DegoDj94 There is no CDJ mode. Touching the sides adjust faster or slower and touching the top will be like touching the record.

  • @uniquesquared
    @uniquesquared  12 ปีที่แล้ว

    @finansis Yes, it will. How did you break your S4? Maybe we can help you fix it.

  • @uniquesquared
    @uniquesquared  13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @mrsamstringer The NS6 works better with serato itch than traktor so far. Which software do you prefer? The DDJ-T1 is traktor only.

  • @uniquesquared
    @uniquesquared  13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @bigblackcostin You can connect one in the auxillary input.

  • @uniquesquared
    @uniquesquared  13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @Mchris222 One output is going to our recorder for the video and one is going to my monitor. There is no advantage to using both.

  • @uniquesquared
    @uniquesquared  12 ปีที่แล้ว

    With these Pioneer controllers the fidelity will ultimately be the same because they have the same internal parts. If you are trying to choose between the DDJS1 and the DDJT1 then it really comes down to which software package you perform best with.
    For the best deals on Pioneer controllers check out the UniqueSquared website.

  • @uniquesquared
    @uniquesquared  13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @frankiecoldmedina You can hook up one through the Aux input.

  • @uniquesquared
    @uniquesquared  13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @mrsamstringer Traktor definitely has more capabilities as far as having advanced effects and sample recording. Check out the Kontrol S4 as well because you can use sample banks on the 3rd and 4th decks. I hope this helps.

  • @uniquesquared
    @uniquesquared  13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @BarneySplashy I favor the S4 because of the jog wheels and hot cues.

  • @uniquesquared
    @uniquesquared  13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @mexvic77 XLR or RCA for either master outputs.

  • @uniquesquared
    @uniquesquared  13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @TheDJLITIO It's better if you want to use Serato Itch. The DDJ-T1 is for Traktor only.

  • @chidamole

    @Uniquesquared Cheers i appreciate you seeing my point.

  • @aammdj
    @aammdj 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    I am STUNNED that the T1 unit is VOID of any XLR inputs/outputs! 1/4"? Ick!
    I am about to move from CD based to PC based DJing. I only DJ weddings and private events and have very little (if any) need for scratching and effects. Is Traktor easier to use/learn than Serato? My primary concern is ease of use and learning curve. The S1 has better features than the T1...but I dont want to be stuck with software that will be too challenging to handle with ease. Please help with your recommendation!

  • @uniquesquared
    @uniquesquared  12 ปีที่แล้ว

    What kind of microphone are you using?

  • @uniquesquared
    @uniquesquared  12 ปีที่แล้ว

    Yes but you must make sure that your software supports timecode.

    I have been using the S4 for the past year, but managed to break it this weekend! I wondered if this controller will work with Traktor Pro 2? ?? I don't really want to buy another controller and have to mess around with all my playlists?

  • @uniquesquared
    @uniquesquared  13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @polli2132 Can you try recalibrating your faders?

  • @mrsamstringer
    @mrsamstringer 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @Uniquesquared However, as far as the controller is concerned, what do you think is the better controller overall in your opinion, numark ns6 or the pioneer ddj-t1? Waying into account the jog wheels, ease of use, and number of functions?

  • @uniquesquared
    @uniquesquared  12 ปีที่แล้ว

    Both controllers can work with either Traktor or VDJ but the T1 is built specifically for Traktor. Which DJ software will you be using?

  • @mrsamstringer
    @mrsamstringer 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @Uniquesquared I like both traktor and serato itch, however what do you think you can do more with?

  • @uniquesquared
    @uniquesquared  13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @TheseHandsWillBe They respond just as the CDJ's do in that the sides nudge tempo up and down and the top is touch sensitive for scratching. I hope this helps!

  • @Superboerrr
    @Superboerrr 13 ปีที่แล้ว

  • @nightfire4107
    @nightfire4107 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @djariell10 depends on what you want. effecting or scratching. effecting is s4 and scratching is t1

  • @uniquesquared

    Yes, but I think you'll love Traktor, especially the new version that releases in May.

    So, Madflip . Im in a very big dilemma.. I dont know if i should buy, this pioneer T1, or if i should go with the NI Traktor Kontrol S4 .. What do you recomend ? And why do you prefer the one over the other.. Hope u can help me out here.

    Hi DJ Madflip, nice review. I have a question though: i want to DJ with Traktor pro and i am thinking of buying this model or the Traktor kontrol S4. wich one would you recommend?? I want to DJ sometimes in clubs but i think that the kontrol S4 has more features.. Can you give me an advise on my buy?? Thanks!!

    The AUX IN input it has, can that have an external deck plugged into it and assigned to either A, B, C or D on the mixer?

  • @funguywoo
    @funguywoo 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    @hiren6 well its personal preference, they're the exact same thing except the T1 comes with traktor and the S1 comes with serato. if you want to scratch id go with the S1

  • @uniquesquared
    @uniquesquared  12 ปีที่แล้ว

    Yes and no. You can certainly use the RMX-1000 as a post-master device, connecting it between the output of the DDJ-T1 and whatever you have downstream (be it speakers, a recording device, etc). The RMX begs to be used in a send/return loop environment, not partnered as an output effects unit for a controller.

  • @Giano96

    Where can I buy this thing? Everywhere I looked or on Pioneers DJ site they say "See:Where to buy" and then I chose a country and he opens me all shops in that country that are importing-exporting cellphones,tv's everything that is technique... Pls answer, hope I'm not asking a dumb question. Thanks

    Random question. I've been using digital based software with a ghetto controler, and i'm looking into getting this. But what are the jog wheels like for beatmatching? i.e, do they react similarly to CDJ's or do they just scratch through the song?

  • @islandboi1990
    @islandboi1990 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    are there any ways to get more "effects" other than what traktor comes with?

    Hi, I was thinking of getting two CDJ200 & DJM350 for home, and now when I saw DDJ-T1, I am not sure which pack to take. The thing that's bothering me about usb controllers is that they are light in weight, and the controls just do not feel the same as with CDJs or DJMs. I felt the same with a few other usb controllers that I've tried. So my Q: Do you think there is a lot of difference in the actual feeling of the knobs, jogwheels and other controls in comparison to CDJ and DJM?

    Hi, Im new to all the talk about outputs and inputs.. I the video, you have connected both Master Output (RCA and 1/4 Jack), what do you get out of that? I mean, can you use them both at the same time for like (more than 1 set active speakers - am i right?).
    And did I misunderstand you when you said that I can plug in a iPhone into the Mic input and then play from the iPhone? i thought that i should be connected to the AUX input?

  • @nighthawkrsx05
    @nighthawkrsx05 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    I battled for days to make a decision on which controller to invest in. The Pioneer DDJ-T1 came out the winner for me over the S4. It mainly came down to form factor and layout of the design. Also, the fact that Pioneer is the standard in DJing. The layout of the S4 is too cramped for me. I also wanted to standout from the S4 fan boys it seems like every kid out there has an S4 nowadays.

    iv'e been runnin two cdjs and a mixer and im looking to upgrade to do more professional stuff events what have yous im torn apart tho choosing t1 with traktor and a 4 channel mixer with a quater inch output or the s1 with serato and from what i hear a stand alone mixer with a xlr output and willing to adapt to either software but for me audio signal and sound quality are key and if you would have to choose based on audio quality which would be great anyway with pioneer which would be best ?

  • @uniquesquared
    @uniquesquared  13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @xXRAVERXx07 It depends on which software Traktor or VDJ you prefer, and your budget. I prefer the DDJ-T1 of the two. Check out our video on the Ergo, too.

    great video! i'm watching your ddj t1 videos for 5 days now and i will watch them until i got the money to afford it :D
    my questions:
    are there sample decks in the traktor pioneer edition?
    does it work if i use traktor with the ddj t1 and hook another usb controller just like the akai lpd, to control the sampling(if there are sample banks)? or will the mapping for the ddj overwritten?
