I got the NS6 just over a month now and it is amazing and there's lots of tricks hidden in that machine! i love Numark.
i've had my ns7 for over a year and can't complain
@camilo8cheryl NS6 uses the Numark edition of Serato Itch for 4 deck control. Native Instruments S4 comes with Traktor S4 but you can upgrade for free to Traktor Pro 2. You can't record your own loops on the NS6 software as of yet and there hasn't been any indication that you will be able to in the future.

@djmam160 The NS6 is a 4 Deck Serato Itch controller with control of 4 audio sources simultaneously. It really depends on your preference which is the better deal. The Mixdeck has software control functionality but is suited more as an all inclusive CD/MP3 player. You can clearly see the difference in price point when you see them next to each other as well.
@djfreestyle05 Not really, the Pioneer is primarily plastic construction and the NS6 is plastic with a metal frame. They both will hold up pretty well under standard usage. I do favor the jogs on the NS6 though. Look for our in depth vid on the NS6 next week.
Virtual DJ is a MIDI mappable software. In fact Virtual DJ's website has mappings made specifically for the NS6.

@mrnicknv Agreed, but Numark really set out to make a more compact controller and motorized decks would have brought the price to around what the NS7's cost. The NS6 fits nicely within other products in it's price point and has more features. Thanks for the comment!
Yes you can. There are RCA connections for CDJ's on the back of the unit.

The feature is not native to the NS6 like it is on the Traktor Kontrol S4 but it can be controlled in your DJ software. With softwares like VDJ and Traktor you can map that function to the NS6 for a more streamlined performance application.
@DJVBasil Yes, exactly. Most DJ's use it so the next track is loaded at the same BPM, not to necessarily let the software mix for them.
If you can map your NS6 to Ableton then it could be a funcional combination or if you are running Scratch Live with the NS6 they have bridge functionality which can run the NS6 and APC 40 concurrently.

The scratching is pretty good when compared to other controllers that work with Serato.

You do not need an additional sound card with the Numark NS6. The NS6 has a soundcard built into the unit.
"Everythings midi", "it's a midi controller", "layer buttons to toggle between decks", "browser controls", "looping", "making the loops shorter and longer" etc.
Is all information everybody knows, did he seriously tell us where the cross-fader was? ...daaaamn..
The jog wheel skip function is great, that thing looks bad ass!, can't wait to try it out some time soon.
My opinion: better let Scott translate the sales pitch into practical information :)

@mixit313 Yes, it's done in the software and it's very accurate.

@vikingrunnersv The DDJ-S1 is killing it right now, although we still have not received the NS6's. We anticipate the NS6 to dominate the market as soon as it's available. Most conventional DJs will probably still only use 2 decks which ever of these two that they decide upon. I still favor the DDJ-S1 for now.
As far as durability, are the buttons built to last? ive had problems with the buttons on a few cheaper numark mixerboards because in a few months some of the mostly used buttons break when pushed from typical abuse. i know this is a professional device, and it has metal parts, but is there anything that is cheaply made on it that may go out in short time?
love this unit... even though I love my DN-Mc6000... If Serato were for me, this would be the setup i'd have to have...
Your eyes scare me. But thanks for this it helped a lot, i currently have the mixtrack pro but i am upgrading, what would you advise? Pioneer ddj(s1 or t1), Numark ns6, Numark mixdeck which has all different features???

@DoctorIncredible u should get this man, my old roommate had an s4 and ended up selling it and gettin the vci-400 but he said he's rather have an ns6 than s4!

hey, I just got my NS6 and your video helped me to make this decision. I am new to DJ Controllers so I have a Problem. I bought it in US, because you can not get this kind of stuff in my country (Georgia, Europe). It turned out that on the box it is mentioned "US 115V". As you know in Europe it's 220-240V. Thus I am little bit confused. Can I just buy another power adapter with the same 12V 2A but capable of 220-240V or I have to buy 110 to 220 voltage converter with is much more expensive option. Hoping for your help...
Im still deciding between this or the S4. The only drawbacks with the S4 is no Booth out.
@Uniquesquared which is better? NS6 or the DDJ-S1, setting aside the obvious fact that the NS6 has four channels and the DDJ-S1 has two. I'm not sure which to get...

I weighed out options between them both. Ns6 certainly wins in terms of value for money, more features/outputs etc. I must say though the Pioneer ones do look good but the NS6 is metal compared to the plastic make of ddjs

How is the scratching on it? I don't have any single turntables to go with it I'm only looking to use the jog wheels and scratch on those but I don't like how with the other numark controllers like the mixtrack, and mixdeck the scratching just sounds awful like so generic

Maybe stupid but a dj told me that even if I got the NS6, I would need to get a soundboard or is there already a sound board apart of the NS6??
hey i found the recorded mix i made on itch the software. the only problem how can i put it on a cd .....i tryed draggin the recorded mix onto windows media player but it says .cant record it onto the cd any help would be nice ...thank you for your time.

I have a question. On my Numark NS6 the right disc/scratcher does not scratch, it just stops the song and then when you take your hand off it, it continues playing, why is it doing this and how do i fix that?

yeah this is all nice but all you can use is a computer, with a mixdeck (which is what i have) you can use a comp., flash drives, external hard drives and cds for only $699.99, so gee which one is the better deal?

man, i was agonizing over what controller to get, looking at all the reviews for a lot of different ones. It got down to the ns6 or the pioneer s-1. I honestly thought i would go with the pioneer. Then i put my hands on them and it was no contest. The NS6 is way better built and feels better. The pioneer is chincy plastic. Plus this has 4 channels. I run my SSL through 2 channels for turntables and then have this. Its so bad ass i can hardly stand it. Kudos to Numark for this!

ns6 is nice but it needs motorized tables... an it looks to colorful like a toy. Numark had the rite idea with the 4ch mixer part but the decks on each side should have been the same as the V7 , I would buy this but ill stick to the V7s
