Using magnets was a great idea because in the cutscene of Arkham Knight how the new suit forms around him including the cowl magnets makes sense.

Fun fact: the interlocking plates of the Arkham Knight cowl aren't for show, they actually expand to let the cowl be taken off.

Excellent Batman cowl. I am currently working on an Arkham Knight cowl as well so this video inspired me. It looks so nice with metallic paint and this is easily the best Batman mask on TH-cam. I can't wait to see the end result of your Batsuit.

im curious ive never 3d printed before, what is the startup cost on a budget to build one of these out approximately?
Hey! The biggest cost is getting the printer itself. If you are just starting off I recommend an Ender 3. You can get them for close to $150 if you watch for sales. Your filament is relatively cheap. About $15-$20 per roll off Amazon depending on the brand and color. For example this helmet took about 400g to print (each roll is 1000g, so about half a roll). Then you have to pay for sandpaper, primer, paint, etc which is around another $20. So once you have the printer itself, you could expect to spend about $15-$18 to build a helmet like this just in material costs, not including the time you put in :) Hope this helps!

What happened to the etsy store? They just kind of vanished. Shame because they had a large variety of batman models
I'm not sure what happened to it... I really liked going there. I now use the Do3D website to get most of my models.
I can't find the vendor on Etsy, did they change their name? Trying to get files to start building my own set. All parts turned out great, nice job.

@@aidenmessenger6554 Yes, you may print the cowl in 18 different pieces. I also just uploaded a version with 5 individual pieces (front, back, horns, side 1 and side 2) you can download and print instead if you don't want to print all 18 separate.

Total about 18 hours. Could be shorter or longer depending on how fast you set your print speed.

You can download it form online. Just google Meshmixer and you can download it for free from there.
I'm trying to print a batman helmet I found on thingiverse, I split it in half and one half to fit my head barely fits the board, what do I do?
If you split it in half and it still doesn’t fit on your build plate you might have to split it into 4 parts instead of 2
I had to walk away from this before i throw it up the wall.
