Thanks for the tutorial! In the end for the completed look, did you finish the edges on either side and the bottom scallops with seams or did you leave them raw? I took a look at your finished costume and I saw the scallops on the cape come to points vs being squared off... Did you re-cut when you finished sewing? Our kiddo's going to be so stoked that her dad has a real Batman cape!
I did some minor trimming after sewing just to make sure all the scallops matched and came to a point. I finished the edges on the sides of the cap but not the scalloped bottom (more work than I wanted lol). You can absolutely finish ALL the edges though! It would make it look even better!
@@Mustafa-j9d8n Maybe if you had the right fabric you could make it work, but the fabric I used is just a pleather fabric I found online...I wouldn't trust to jump off of something and use it to "glide". However, it would be interesting to do some tests on different fabrics to see which ones work best for something like that.

That looks fantastic. Great solution with the cape connection.
Keep it up. Can't wait to see the final result.
Perfect!
Great sewing job!
Fantastic!
Awesome series! got a new link to the pleather fabric?
I understand buying 5 to 6 yards, my question is what width did you get? 60? 72?
Thanks for your question! I got the 72". You probably wont need the whole length (depending on your height) but if you don't you can easily cut it.

how does this material do in the rain?
Haven’t had any problems with it yet. I’ve brought it out in the rain only once though
