You forgot the most heartbreaking thing! There's a challenge where the mayor asks you to ask the grocery deliverer about his dreams. BUT the mayor is his mother. His mother is asking someone else to ask her son about his dreams and report back to her, instead of asking the poor boy herself.
I'm surprised there isn't a new trait called "prudish" or something where your sim gets angry if someone else in the room has a flirty emotion or something.

fun fact: the renovated barn backstory was actually clare siobhán's idea! the lot description was originally just pitched as a city sim moving to the countryside, but after clare submitted the concept for her build, they incorporated her idea into the world's lore.
Please do a video where you age Agnes down to a young adult and you give her the husband and child she always wanted

I don't see Michael Bell as a Don Lothario type, but rather as the confirmed bachelor that all the women in the town chase hoping to have him as their own. Poor man seems to prefer his own company (as he is a "loner" personality wise) and his animal friends, but those women just won't leave him alone.
Yeah I can see a possible interpretation where he's just not the best at being social with humans and that's why he chooses to live on his own with his garden. Women find him attractive aesthetically but are disappointed by the awkwardness when they start to get to know him.
I do think there's a bit of creepiness to the mushroom mash though, so maybe he has a dark side.
Edited to add: The sims community page says that he has a smitten sentiment for Cecilia, so I think he does like her and wanted to date her, and made the date awkward by accident.
I support the Aromantic Asexual Agenda hypothesis for the Creature Keeper's heartbreaking spree.
HOWEVER!
"confirmed bachelor" is oft a euphemism for "dude of decidedly nonheterosexual behaviour and vibes" (it's Subtle and oft used SPECIFICALLY because the term can Whoosh so easily - it's in The Tone, really).

there's some stuff missing like the mayor's son and rashida's relationship and the company that's buying houses to make sort of bnb places like the one in the bramblewood (the elderly couple are at risk of losing their house because of it)

I actually (briefly) had a mermaid in a family living in New-Old Hartford. The river was so close to the house. After a short jog, my merman could swim to his heart's content.

My sim Nadia somehow managed to easily become besties with Agnes (no selfies with her were taken). And one night Agnes came to her door to give her a jar of jam, and now Agnes has "ENAMORED SENTIMENT" toward Nadia that says "so many feelings can fit in a small jar, giving it to Nadia makes Agnes' heart flutter". And i'm like ?????? WTF??? she can hit me with a purse all she likes, i know she can be in love her own way... :))

Fun fact: the bran renovation thing wasn't originally suposed to be in the game, until Clare Sióbhan (one of the game changers) decided to build a barn renovation. The Sims team liked it so much they included it in the lore of the town.

When I watched WandaVision I was constantly getting mixed up on when to call the villain Agnes or Agatha and here we are again doing it with the Crumplebottoms
the lore in this pack reminds me a lot of the intertwining lore in the sims 2, i like the attention to detail in the sentiments etc :)
So what I'm getting is, if I want to play like I'm Nick Angel in Hot Fuzz, this is the very pack for me!

From watching James Turner's LP it seems like depending on how you complete the quests and which items you choose to deliver, the green grocer might reject the creature keeper not the other way around. I don't know if there's a combination of actions that would result in them getting together but from what I've seen I think it might be possible.

I think it's so funny how she's bagging on Michael Bell in this video and then you watch her LP and we see that she wasn't able to keep away from his charms either! hehe (But really, I think Michael just got a bad rep with the surface info that she had on hand pre-release. Still is making me giggle though hehe)
Agatha Crumplebottom is absolutely my favorite added with the pack. She's probably the only premade I actually like! She's so sweet, but also a bit of a busy-body who likes to interfere with villagers' love lives. For the better, but still. One of the errands I did for her was to get two sims to flirt with each other and then Agatha wanted to meet up and do a celebratory jig.
That may be the most striking hair coloring I've ever seen. Beautiful.
This town gives me such Bourton-on-the-Water vibes, the amount of bridges and the option to swim (or paddle) along with the shops is definitely giving me BOTW

The ghost story you couldn’t get out of the pub owner goes like this- there was a local kid who used to ride her bike along the river and her bike was unique in that it had flowers in a basket up front as well as the back. One day she went missing and no one could find her, but ppl have reported her bike pedaling at night with no rider.

This is the first time since the release of TS4 I'm actually EXCITED to meet the new sims introduced! The little quests too add so much, I really hope EA adds those to the other worlds as well or some clever modder can figure out if we can make our own somehow.
