Coastal (wet) snow, combined with near/below freezing temperatures, makes for lots of water on the asphalt when storm hits, but after asphalt cools off, it becomes ice and smooths any gaps in the asphalt. You know, I'm surprised more don't just pack a shovel in the trunk during winter. I grew up in Rochester, NY and we always made sure to have a shovel ready. Love these... keep 'em coming!

I live in Eastern WA State so we get snow sometimes. After 2020 a bunch of people moved out of State and I noticed a lot of California plates on cars that bought these houses nearby. It’s funny watching them try to drive in winter. They’ll learn eventually and hopefully they don’t harm anyone in the process.

Long time fan over here in Ouray, Colorado :) Watching the guy with the new snowblower, since there's no driveway to the uphill side, he should snowblow everything from his double driveway in that direction, uphill. That way when the snowplow truck comes by, he doesn't get blocked in again by the snow. That's how we do it here in Colorado. Clear a bit to the left (so that there's nothing for the plowtruck to grab), and then blow everything to the right IF there is no other driveway next to you on the right. Otherwise, dump it into the yard or someplace out of the way.

That black car reminds me of when we had a big ice storm here in Austin Texas and this guy was trying to get on the freeway for half an hour. When you've got a sloping driveway, get a couple of buckets of sand before the first snow. That's will give you enough traction to get your car off the road. But nobody plans ahead!

Here never see anything like that in this video...We prepared for Icy roads covered with snow, But these clowns in america What the *UCK?!?!?! Yesterday was hot summer, today is freeezing winter. And everyone dont know (or forgot) how to drive a car or pickup. Oh that subaru needs some sand or wood ashes to MAKE it. IF: You wont clean snow from car -> You get Fine, If you cause danger situation on the road that other forced to change lanes unexpectedly -> You get Fine. IF You drive in winter with summer or in summer with winter tires -> You get fine. If you get caught again or by other cop at same day -> You get fine ( a 5 times bigger) If your car without insurance or driving after passed Inspection -> You get fine.. And so on....

Been in New Hampshire and Massachusetts until I I moved to Oregon nine years ago because my husband had better work out here but when it snows out here they don’t really plow if they do it’s like there asses! They laid down the small rock when they should lay down salt but they’re too scared to lay the salt down because it eats the cars. That’s what car washes are for. 🤷🏻♀️ then on top of that there’s accident accident because people can’t even drive in dry weather here not alone snow. 🤦🏻♀️ I hate it here! Nothing like home,food or people! lol
Hard-core stuff weather like that I worked in San Diego California as a fireman for 30 years those guys are truly bad ass. What’s weird is I see the tow trucks and those monkeys don’t appear to know how to drive if I had a tow truck I would have chains on all six wheels it would definitely help and I would carry a giant bucket of kitty litter as well with a coffee can to get out of the tight spots. I know a little bit about driving in the snow, since retired I’m in south now.

Winter Tires got dammit! WINTER TIRES! Here in Lithuania also winter with a lot of snow. Here never see anything like that in this video...We prepared for Icy roads covered with snow, But these clowns in america What the *UCK?!?!?! Yesterday was hot summer, today is freeezing winter. And everyone dont know (or forgot) how to drive a car or pickup. Oh that subaru needs some sand or wood ashes to MAKE it. IF: You wont clean snow from car -> You get Fine, If you cause danger situation on the road that other forced to change lanes unexpectedly -> You get Fine. IF You drive in winter with summer or in summer with winter tires -> You get fine. If you get caught again or by other cop at same day -> You get fine ( a 5 times bigger) If your car without insurance or driving after passed Inspection -> You get fine.. And so on....
We do Have Laws for things Like That, But No one Cares Here, You be Safe Dizzy.

I can understand some people don't want to spend the money on winter tires... so why not get chains? A lot cheaper than winter tires and easy to put on, solving most of the traction issues.

Been in New Hampshire and Massachusetts until I I moved to Oregon nine years ago because my husband had better work out here but when it snows out here they don’t really plow if they do it’s like there asses! They laid down the small rock when they should lay down salt but they’re too scared to lay the salt down because it eats the cars. That’s what car washes are for. 🤷🏻♀️ then on top of that there’s accident accident because people can’t even drive in dry weather here not alone snow. 🤦🏻♀️ I hate it here! Nothing like home,food or people! lol

Hard-core stuff weather like that I worked in San Diego California as a fireman for 30 years those guys are truly bad ass. What’s weird is I see the tow trucks and those monkeys don’t appear to know how to drive if I had a tow truck I would have chains on all six wheels it would definitely help and I would carry a giant bucket of kitty litter as well with a coffee can to get out of the tight spots. I know a little bit about driving in the snow, since retired I’m in south now.
