I could imagine some of the vault dwellers from 76, whom was a big fan of the mistress of mystery before the war, finding this place and repairing it to the best of their abilities in order to revitalise the order as best they can.

At some point someone found his hideout and started using it again, taking on the Iconic look of the Mistress and helping out when needed, then disappearing without a trace.
Great point and hypotheses. It could be true. and need to archive that research at the advane science lab of in-depth analysis of history, which is somewhere secret in the environment of Fallout 76. Part of the new odd lore is apparently the importance of reading, history research, having food and water to have energy in reading and training; and having very stable power supplies to help power terminals and any tablets, E-books and PipBoys still around. Of course, there could be some sort of live persons in deep hidden caverns, or some vaults still sealed up. Bethesda needs to make Unstoppables comics for fans in IRL
Why not us make the comics for real and in this environment by crafting a printing machine? ? That's because the present day Fallout "fans" are people who played New Vegas and Fallout 4. In Fallout 1/2, there was a LOT of reading, but the fans (myself included) claim they are indeed the best Fallout-games, not the ones where everything is read to you out loud like an evening story for children.
Markus new Vegas is made by people who made 1/2 and has tons of lore and reading......

I hate how The Last Minute (A GAUSS RIFLE) wasn’t enough to kill the guy holding a gun to Kent’s head in one hit. I don’t know if I was too slow or too weak anymore...
Thankfully, Hancock wasn’t too fazed. He was happy I tried, to the point where we had a heart-to-heart after going back up the elevator. (I don’t remember if that was the conversation where I got his perk or not)

Joshua Slowpoke seriously, I tried the same things, but it’s way easier if you pass the speech check. “Kill me first”, and Kent is immune, since Sinjin and his gang will try to kill you first.
@@joshuahunt3032 Weird. Either a side effect of playing Very Hard or my mod load order, but I managed to do it with the Last Minute in VATS with a guarenteed critical before via Jet. I admit during the last part of the line when agitating him via Shroudspeak I dragged my view out of the convo so I could draw my gun gun to start initiating the VATS as well but yeah.
Any person would be in awe of the love between Frederick and Shannon, what a wonderful Romance.

I love the attention to detail Bethesda has achieved. Kent and all in this time frame is awesome. Yet theres a part of my comic fanboy soul that wished Bethesda had or would team up with a real world comic company like D.C. Marvel or Dark Horse and actually craft and release Grognak, The Mistress of Mystery, The Silver Shroud and their combined team comic forms. Even if it were on a limited basis, to have a collectible item like that would be outstanding.
That's what I was thinking! They released that short comic about the Vault Dweller with the puppets (or was that an audio story with still images?). It'd be awesome to see them actually do that
Nik short comic, find it on the Fallout wiki. It mentions Vaults 68, 69, and follows the story of the lone resident of Vault 77. And it is considered canon. Ox did a video on vault 77 when he found the jumpsuit in New Vegas where he read the comic, check it out ( I didn’t find the link, sorry).
Awesome idea! They could then parlay those series into new films and tv shows like the Marvel series on Netflix.
I was just thinking the same thing when I started watching this order of mystery series.
I don't need to play this game becaue Oxhorn is playing it for me. I'm sure delving through lore this way is more appealing than trying to read entries while every enemy in the area respawns and attacks you. So thank you for your service to the Fallout community, Oxhorn

Matthew Rodriguez haven’t had this issue once. The only time it happened was when I launched my first nuke but the silo is always producing bots and tells you when they are coming.
@@coolpumas1000000 Good for you. Seriously. Because it happened to me every single day of BETA. Even had 5 super mutants pop in one after another in a corner of some trailer at level 2. Good first impressions. Plus many vids have shown the same bugs. Even Ox's. So you're very very lucky to have the game run smoothly for you the entire time because that isn't the typical experience.

Matthew Rodriguez yeah the problem there is once you clear an area it stays clear until another player arrives in the area. It happened when you were lvl 2 because in the beta all low levels were packed close together. When your the only one around and after lvl 10 you ARE the only one around. The area stays clear. Hope that clears this up for you and you’ll not blast off about something you don’t understand In any further comment sections.
Considering that the blade of bastet and the voice of set can be upgraded in the workbench to match you level, that makes them usefull weapons even in the late game.
How do you upgrade them? I got "All Rise" at lvl 30. I'm now 71 and I cant figure out how to craft it at lvl 50
As far i can tell, the only legendary weapons and armour you can upgrade to another level are the ones who get from the mistress of mysteries questline.

This quest was enjoyable. But as most quests in F76, I feel like reading a book, not playing a game. You will read about people, who lived and died, you will see the raiders, that ambushed them, but you wont be heading to avenge anybody. Because the raiders are dead now too. You are no longer making any choices here, you can only decide, if you want to read this part or not. But thank you for the video Ox, it is always a pleasure to hear you! :)
This might change when the other vaults will open.... lets see what bethesda will have in store for us... a living vault or a vault that died out....
Godz Fear they’ll all be dead. Data mining has revealed the events associated with these dlc vaults. Don’t get your hopes up that these will be huge dlc they will just be added dungeons later with high lvl enemies.
I was wondering why the radiated world looks better 20 years after the war than it does 200 years after and I figured it out. It wasn't the war the created the horrors of Fallout 1-4 it was the people of vault 76 that constantly nuked each other.

Jakub Martiník That is a draw back, but it lets me put on my detective hat. This game would be 10% better with a few NPC characters to interact with that we can effect one way or another. Wish there had been non feral Ghouls hiding out somewhere or more friendly Super Mutants. Robots are fine, but all the interactive ones are basically insane programs running on repeat.
Man I'm LOVING this super hero organization team! I'm gonna have to do a character focused on being part of it...
I just finished the Mistress of Mystery story line. Huge lore fan so I look forward to seeing Ox’s reactions as things continue to unravel.

Good question. Someone get to it in an advance science and history research lab. But first lets eat and drink to keep energy up and to keep alive. this rebuilding could take a while.

Nothing too dramatic. Assuming they couldn't be placed elsewhere, common practice would be to separate the sleeping areas for boys and girls. This not only helps avoid "embarrassments", to use the vernacular, but makes it possible to keep the boys isolated from the Order.
The boys just don't get to be superheroes, in other words.

Oxhorn, I just don't know. I have trouble deciding if it's more fun watching the live streams when you discover the content for the first time and laugh at your frustrations, or watch the lore you plug in after you found the whole story. Keep it up buddy. I will certainly watch both.
As for me, I keep missing the live streams, so I'll just go on watching the lore vids until I have a hundred or so hours free to watch the stream recordings.
Now I _have_ to to see what was cut out between 33:44 and 33:45 that chopped the health bar down to ... *one sixth?!*
@@restcure Watch day 4 starting around 4 hours 57 minutes.. I didn't rewatch the whole thing but that is about where it starts. The very end of day 5 is when he fights his way back into the Mansion and with low health reads the terminal. He is in a rush as Bethesda is forcing a shutdown.

As a stealth character this was the perfect accompaniment for my play style. Being able to upgrade the garb and weapons makes it competent, compared to other specialized gear.
Well this certainly explains why and how Kent knew how to make a silver smg and how to upgrade the Silver Shroud costume.

I know this is old, but there is a mod for fallout 4 to add oxhorn as a settler.
The Order of Mysteries are allied with the Responders and the Brotherhood of Steel. I bet the Order of Mysteries are allied with the Followers of the Apocalypse, the Minutemen, Railroad and the Atom Cats many years later. All friendly factions would have an alliance with each other.
Shanon and Frederick keep reminding me of that supervillain lady and her boyfriend inventor from the Minions movie. Anyone else?

I know this isn't related to the video Ox, But I figured out the mannequins that are in a circle. They are where supplies drop. Lore wise, They where set up to trick the Drones to make the drops there as they would be "High Population" targets.
An Oxhorn lore video is basically my bedtime story. Not to say they bore me to sleep, they’re just soothing. Keep up the great work, Ox!

The lore in this video was like trying to live through someone else's high school experience via only going through their journal and their high school yearbook. Sure, it's a valid way to step out of your own shoes, but other people(games) just, I don't know, dump you into the high school and let you interact with the students, talk to the teachers, stick gum on some other student's hair... etc. etc. etc.

Based on what I've heard so far, I think Olivia might resent her mother from spending more time with the other girls instead of her. It sounds like Shannon doesn't really connect with her as a mother should. Kinda reminds me of how Ra's Al Ghul sees Damian as an heir and soldier rather than a grandson if that makes any sense

Thank you for taking the place of the NPC's that should've been sharing this story if 76 were a true open world single player RPG. Sure there's always going to be terminal entries to read but there is NEVER a good substitute for exceptional voice acting and narration. Thanks Oxhorn! Bethesda really missed the boat not including any NPC's. The remnants of this brave and benevolent woman's league of heroes could have easily been in hiding in the training facility under the house or scattered throughout the 76 map. Fallout has a great tradition of awesome NPC's and followers. When I think Fallout I still remember Sulick, Marcus, Myron, Charon, John Cassidy, Rose of Sharon Cassidy, Craig Boone, Christine and Veronica and so many more. I still wish there was an option to get Christine and Veronica back together. Thank you, Oxhorn, for adding your usual pep, vigor, enthusiasm and sense of wonder to what would normally come off as far too many pages of screen reading.
I completed the quest chain for this the day before the first video went up, and I'm looking forward to seeing how Oxhorn reacts and maybe finding out about things I missed. As thorough as he is when exploring places I don't see him having too much trouble with it.

I assumed that the veil of mysteries didn't do anything, because most gas masks include a blurb saying that they protect from atmospheric diseases. I also missed the Pulowski elevators. Now I feel like an idiot for going through the mansion all the time.
Great Job Ox! I love how Bethesda completely tied in the Silver Shroud Quest lines characters into the Mistress of Mysteries storyline. Even thought they take place in different areas and times.
I hope your thanksgiving with family and loved ones were to your satisfaction Ox. The same goes for the rest of you oxhornites aswell. The last server maintenance they made the other day has made a small but noticeable improvement on my overall frame rate. So while it goes at a snails pace things are going the right way. Furthermore i hate parasites with a passion in the game. Gah i just ate stop being hungry!

If you play the game you will meet many human npcs named Scorched, other players, super mutants. Yes yes you cant have sex with them thats why you mad?
Yeah, it would be like 10% more fun with NPCs. But 90% of the fun is still there, this questline is amazing, especially for the tragic end. Having and NPC to tell me aloud the same thing as the terminals doesn't change much.
I can't tell you how pumped I was listening to these playthrough vids about the Mistress of Mystery sub plot and up pops Kent Connelly! Absolutely great detail added; it's also useful for reminding the players (and me 😅) that this busted up post-apocalyptic world was once normal, and people were in easy and rapid communication with each other across the country, pursuing careers and hobbies and stuff.

Thanks for watching! My biggest tip would be, start with the main quest. It will bring you to many of the locations you would have stumbled upon by yourself anyway, and this way you don't ruin your quest by exploring ahead.

This game has more heavy weapons, (freaking machine guns for crying out loud), more ways to play, better animations, (the animations in new vegas are comparable to that of mass effect Andromeda), etc. Meanehile, your beloved new vegas has story and characters , but falls flat in everything else. I don't give two shits if they were crunching on time, they could have added something, but nope, they let their greed get out of control . Still wish all these interesting characters weren't dead by the time the player comes around. But it is good to see that there were still good people like her and Randall Clark out in the west that would lend a hand where they could without asking anything in return. I guess Kent was right to still have hope for the world.
Ox your character is addicted to med-x! As a disclaimer I haven't watched all the streams yet (slowly catching up), but you at the very least were addicted to med-x on day 10, and it's driving me crazy. You should fix that as you have plenty of addictol.

Thanks for the lore. Had the game ordered and the day before it was supposed to be released and delivered I had to evacuate from the Camp fire in Paradise/Magalia. Fallout is my all time favorite franchise, having been playing it for years. Thanks to you I can at least watch it being played. Don't know when or if I will ever get back to gaming again. But we are some of the lucky ones. Got out with our animals and very little else.

I really wish Bethesda would do an expanded universe thing and get a group together to actually publish Hubris Comics. Plenty of other game series have very serious literary series that tie in. I just want some campy comics lol

I think 76 may take you a while to sort out all the references and character links and story content.. this may take you longer than sorting out FO4 did. Whenever you get that far, look at west of Vault 63, there are locations along that south ridge there. Then I went east and discovered another train station south of the train elevator.

Ok...so I started to play Fallout 76.I was so excited,and enjoyed the player customization.But when I got out of the vault,I was following the quest marker,and got chased by bee's.I'm 11 mind you,and quickly I exited the game on my Xbox one,quickly ran into my living room,and turned on my Ps3...and started to play Fallout New Vegas.That Fallout 76 game is scary! :C
I seem to noticed that in fallout 76 is simply a intermixing and repeating of past fallout games which just so happened to be a sequel to this game and that this game seem to connect and tie every fallout canonical lores from every fallout related thing you can imagine?

Seems like ball point pens and clip boards. The environment needs more ball point pins, and also more machine shops to get some raw spring steel. LOL
Funny how we can craft advanced ammunition like fusion and gamma rounds but not springs and screws

ON a similar topic; :: Video from Oxhorn on Fallout 76:: Portals of Universes / Lores: Interesting subtle aspects of terminals, notes, robots, comics, secret clubs, shadowy string pullers, and history archives. Part of the new odd lore is apparently the importance of reading, history research, having food and water to have energy in reading and training; and having very stable power supplies to help power terminals and any tablets, E-books and PipBoys still around. Of course, there could be some sort of live persons in deep hidden caverns, or some vaults still sealed up. Can we get any help from Vault 76 in creating advanced engineering labs, or advanced science and research labs for going into deep history analysis and adapting robots to new tasks? We ask since we are really trying to rebuild America in even bigger ways, and create large freedom. Where are the big and advanced tools to rebuild and tame the unruly creatures and bizarre mutations? Very interesting. It is like all types of polarization and ideological factions are being creating edin real life and in the game/sim. It is like possibly a true convergence and divergence occurring between the parallel universes (Fallout Culture and Real World and Free Floating Entities World) .. Wait wait wait they have a fabricator!? It's that a huge deal!? That's...like...one of the big reasons the Serra Madre is so important to Father Elijah! I love this story, but I really, REALLY wish they went into the logistics of how they set up and kept all this going in the incredibly dangerous time just after the bombs. Without that context, I....I dunno. This feels a little unrealistic? Like, it sorta goes against the themeing of Fallout and dives into the realm of fantasy. How does the mistress feed all these kids? Where does she get the material to keep this going? I think a really cool way to make this more interesting would be to have her secretly be stealing material like food, ammo, scrap ect from the people of Appalachia as a way to keep the lights on, and it'd be up to the player to internally decide if what she was doing was worth the good the order of mystery did. Have her hide it from the orphans, have her husband question where she gets the material, give her some inner conflict. I think that would really elevate this from just a superhero story to a fallout story. Make it into a story that would match the world that made The Master. I'm only halfway through this vid, but i had to get that off my chest. Does anyone else agree?
The fabricator in this isn't as advanced as the ones from Dead Money. Those could mass produce stuff and you didn't need to have the materials on hand. With this one it's MUCH bigger, requires you to have the materials with you, and it's hooked up to the mainframe so it's stuck in one place

Nope, Marvel may be in the shitter when it comes to comics, but D.C is still going incredibly strong. At the very least, Hubris Comics would get close to D.C.
