HOW TO RESET STEERING ANGLE SENSOR. TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT ON FIX
If your traction control light is on, the abs brake light is on or both lights are on we will explain what is the most common reason for that. In this video we will explain how to reset the steering angle sensor on a car. Every time you do front end alignment or rear end alignment you will need to reset the steering angle sensor. Also, every time that you replace suspension parts you need to check that the steering angle sensor is calibrated otherwise your abs brake and traction control light will be on. We explain how to reset the steering angle sensor on a BMW but the procedure is the same for most cars.

Is this is what they call a zero calibration? I have a 14 Toyota Prius C I first changed the clock spring and used the old steering angle sensor and received a fault c1231 steering angle sensor circuit. I then bought a used oem clock spring with sensor and installed and am still receiving the code . Both times I performed the calibration shown in this video using my NT650 but it doesn’t clear the fault. Could both sensors be bad or do I need to perform something else. When I view the angle of the steering live it’s locked at -850 degrees even after moving it to full right or full left. The trac light never comes off.

I removed my steering column on my 2012 honda civic lx. I took it off to get easier access to my ignition assembly for replacement. I now have a VSA light and power steering light. Is this what I need to do to reset those codes???

Ok so I bought the tool and tried to perform the sas function, but the scanner said I couldn’t continue with possible fault being incorrectly installed szl, coding of dsc control unit incorrect. Any suggestions?

Hi I wanted to buy a new vehicle and test drove it. I saw that steering wheel was of center. I told the sales person and he took the car into the shop. They did an alignment and corrected a toe. The steering wheel was still at the same off center position. Alignment felt good it was just misaligned steering wheel. Could it be that the car only needed steering angle reset?
