Blues Brothers is a relatively short game if you know what to do. It’s not incredibly puzzling but there are some areas where you might feel a little questioned what to do. There are only 4 stages and each stage has a hidden instrument for you to collect and 10 musical notes. All 4 musical instruments and notes are necessary to enter the final sequence which is a breakdancing battle lol. There are some frustrating bits in this game but nothing as bad as some platformers I’ve already played. Quite a breeze actually. I noticed there’s one more playthrough of this game on TH-cam which is basically a blind run and is incredibly long. Good to have a better paced play up now.

I remember renting this and in the entire week I had it I could only beat the jail. The nurse terrified me, thought she was bad because she stuck giant needles in people and made them disappear. Honestly have no clue how young me even got through that level.
I find it fascinating that this game even exists. Who was it made for? It is basically a bad generic 3D platformer that has nothing to do with The Blues Brothers.They could have called it "FBI Adventure" and changed the text to an FBI story and said you were playing as an agent and nobody would have known the difference. You could replace the text in this game with all kinds of different things and keep the same gameplay and call it any generic name you wanted and it would fit. That obviously isn't the sign of a good game. The only was I could see the Blues Brothers working as a game would be to make it a point and click adventure type game. I'd be interested in knowing how many copies of this game were sold and if they ended up making a profit from it in the end.

I’m in the sewer at 34:10. I’ve tried to run away from the alligator as fast as I can several times already, but it’s much faster than I am! It always gets me by the first heart! Is there a run button that I’m unaware of or am I just doing something wrong? Some help would be greatly appreciated.

You can actually beat it on emulator! If you are playing on Project 64, you can go into cheats and turn on Levitate. There will be a fire hydrant near the sewer entrance with speedy Gator. You can levitate near the platform above the hydrant and continue the rest of the game. Unfortunately the game throws another chase at you in the 4th level near a sign with "watch your back" You can turn on levitate to go through the course to bypass the trigger of the chase and calmly stroll through the course. Unfortunately you have to do this if you are playing this game on emulator. The game is beatable on emulator but you have to levitate. I beat the entire game without any other cheats so you probably can too! -Source, I just beat the game on emulator!
Yep. This is not a good game. When I was a kid, I just had the NES. I played a LOT of bad games. But I remember having fun with them though. As a kid, I didn't know any better to be honest. This game isn't totally worthless, but yeah, it's aged terribly and it sucks. Just stick to the classics like Mario, Zelda, F Zero, Star Fox, Banjo Kazooie, Perfect Dark, Rayman 2 etc

In the NES game, after you've completed all 5 levels, yes, it's really that short, but it "makes up for it" with fairly difficult gameplay, a black screen pops up, that says, "Welcome to the band. You can really play the blues." In the SNES game, it shows a poster for a Blues Brothers concert with "sold out" written on it. You'd think a good ending would be an important item on the list of game development.
Suddenly I remembered about this game, but I played it when I was really young and since I was kinda dumb as fuck, I couldn't get past the first prison level and could not remember the name of the game, so I went on a hunt for this game with only this in mind: - It's in a prison - There's more than one character - The characters look like the thieves from Ducktales (that was a false memory) - The characters wear black - It might have something to do with music, either hip hop or jazz (also false memory, it was Blues) - I played it on a Xbox classic, it's very likely an emulator (n64, dreamcast or gamecube) Then I started my hunt by searching for every n64 game that exists on Wikipedia and tried to look for any names that would strike a memory.
