Hyperresonance it takes 4 seconds to collect a jiggy. I'm not sure what you mean. I could have not taken damage by manipulating the crabs to be farther away and save a bit of time, but I can't do a damage cancel here. You have to touch the enemy on the first frame you touch the jiggy. You can't just grab the jiggy and fall onto it. I'm not quite sure I understand your strat

has this been updated? seem as though there have been many shortcuts discovered since this came out (e.g. a number of places you can get into without using the puzzle pieces.
The purpose of this TAS is to 100% all the Jiggies and complete the game as fast as possible. Of course it wouldn't try to finish the game while skipping them.
if there will be a remastered banjo-kazooie, it should look like banjo-kazooie: nuts & bolts but have the characters more round than square (like how banjo looks in super smash bros. ultimate)
well it had a normal range of colors in the worlds; although the coolant in logbox 720 is a hot pink color that is an eye-blinding color when you swim/drive through it when you go to the top where you enter the fluid
Let's see TerminalMontage create "Something About Banjo Kazooie"! I want to see how hyper the bear and bird get with getting the jigsaws and music notes! Let's hope that Luigi and Kirby don't intervene like they do with Mario!
There is some sort of pattern to the questions. Someone made a type of calculator that can predict the answers to grunty questions based on the answers around it. In the case of this TAS I would assume they just re-recorded and trial/errored their way through the questions.
While you can set up a TAS to be performed on a console, creating a TAS always happens in an emulator because they have tools like frame by frame button inputs etc. For the exact emulator you should check out tasvideos.org (i think) and then banjo-kazooie, or i also think there should be one listed on speedrun.com - banjo kazooie
It's true that FFM was discovered after this run was started. I could have restarted but chose not to. I had a discussion with TASvideos staff about doing an FFM run and they allowed it, so I started working on any%. That was unfortunately obsoleted due to Stiv finding reverse bee adventure on NTSC, and my any% progress was on PAL at the time. I can't restart on NTSC bizhawk however because the emulation is not accurate and the new bee clip in CCW lobby doesn't work. So I am on hiatus for Banjo-Kazooie until that is fixed.
hella late but the jump height and everything else in the game itself is completely normal and can be done on an unmodified game, the tools are using savestates and slowdown to make a theoretically perfect speedrun for demonstration purposes
No wonder my mother demanded I play this game with the sound off.

I love Mad Monster Mansion. Such a fun level with great music theme
Tas makes the engine room in RBB look like a walk in the park
Gruntilda: "Haha Banjo! I kidnapped your sister and you'll never rescue h....

1:00:12 This made me giggle a little too much.
@:D and yours older than mine
*GU-*
watch this on 2x speed its crazy lol
Watch at 0.5 speed for the authentic TAS experience! It's like your watching it being made!
I literally do this with every speedrun lmao
OMG i just realized that i never beat this game. And just gave me flashbacks of DK64, i never beat that one either. I almost spoiled the ending, i gotta go finish those! yay an excuse for nostalgia
has this been updated? seem as though there have been many shortcuts discovered since this came out (e.g. a number of places you can get into without using the puzzle pieces.
The purpose of this TAS is to 100% all the Jiggies and complete the game as fast as possible. Of course it wouldn't try to finish the game while skipping them.
It's not updated, no. No one is really working on bk TAS at the moment. Although it's estimated a new 100% tas would be around 1:30:00
I may be wrong but he did miss a Mumbo token in the first level.... but still this was amazing at least so far...probably won't finish it
100% does not include tokens
[TAS] N64 *KAZOOIE* "100%" by Hyperresonance in 1:59:51.92
if there will be a remastered banjo-kazooie, it should look like banjo-kazooie: nuts & bolts but have the characters more round than square (like how banjo looks in super smash bros. ultimate)
But nuts and bolts didn't have that bright colours, did it?
well it had a normal range of colors in the worlds; although the coolant in logbox 720 is a hot pink color that is an eye-blinding color when you swim/drive through it when you go to the top where you enter the fluid
You are a genius!
19:54 nice Jiggy fanfare
Como haces el doble salto?
Can we just take a small MILLENIA to appreciate this game
"1:56:??" *The video being 2:14:04 (or 2:12:04 idk)
I fear for what a Yooka-Laylee TAS looks like. (If any)
Sub 2 hours is insane, especially without Furnace Fun Moves, Nice job.
I loved this game when I was little boy and I still loved this game 🎮
Awesome speedrun.
TAS of N64 RPGs give me all the joy
this game is so charming
Let's see TerminalMontage create "Something About Banjo Kazooie"! I want to see how hyper the bear and bird get with getting the jigsaws and music notes! Let's hope that Luigi and Kirby don't intervene like they do with Mario!
Banjo and Kazooie are the Good Ones, unlike the Mario from Terminal7Montage.
Update: he did, but they just go Nuts and with jokes all over the place.
Man who’d thought you could skip the jiggy animation by getting hit.

Does TASbot guess the answers at the quiz? Or is it like an algorithm where some answers have to be with others by default?
There is some sort of pattern to the questions. Someone made a type of calculator that can predict the answers to grunty questions based on the answers around it. In the case of this TAS I would assume they just re-recorded and trial/errored their way through the questions.
Rng manipulation?
Was this TAS done through a ROM?
If so what do you use?
Kinda new to this because I don’t own a Nintendo 64
While you can set up a TAS to be performed on a console, creating a TAS always happens in an emulator because they have tools like frame by frame button inputs etc. For the exact emulator you should check out tasvideos.org (i think) and then banjo-kazooie, or i also think there should be one listed on speedrun.com - banjo kazooie
27:02 You're a what?
Why did this choose not to use Furnace Fun Moves?
This TAS was made before that skip was discovered
Ryan Tanner That makes sense lol
Even then, TASVideos only allows runs started from a fresh cart, so FFM would not be allowed.
no Brad knew about FFM, just can't do it, since you must TAS from a fresh cart.
So I am on hiatus for Banjo-Kazooie until that is fixed.
how high you can jump is crazy! i guess that's the tool?
hella late but the jump height and everything else in the game itself is completely normal and can be done on an unmodified game, the tools are using savestates and slowdown to make a theoretically perfect speedrun for demonstration purposes
Kazooie during this entire run:
*I AM SPREEEEEEEEEEEED!!!*
Now do it on an Xbox 360
Edit: the fact that it is a tas becomes obvious during the crocodile minigame in bubblegloop swamp
1:35:58 great music
The church with no music makes it 10x more creepy
Note: Put it in 240p for the TRUE N64 experience
Nah 144p lol
@@ShugoAWay But the Nintendo 64 can output 240p
@@scamuel1896 oh then 1080p60 just to flex on em
why not 60fps?
This game is on N64 and doesn't run at 60 fps
Angie Romanov I Have That Game It’s Call Banjo Kazooie On The N64 Cartridge I Got This Game I Have For Years
Don’t mumbo tokens count toward 100%? D:
