My gramma, mom and my brother Nathan make PHENOMENAL Arroz Con Gandules!
They make it with Salchichon inside it. Sometimes pork, spam or chicken but usually Salchichon or Salchichas. (Vienna sausages). I prefer the salchichas. Let me tell you that they are phenomenal at cooking but my angel gramma cooks like an angel as well.
But LORD knows I can't wait for Thanksgiving and Christmas where the Pastelles and Coquito get made by my mom and gramma and I pig out on them all at the table!
The most critical ones, always have the lowest scores.

Except the Black Aunties video where they try each other’s potato salads. The nicest one got the lowest score, while all the other ones, which were all bitchy ones, got higher scores!

These women were amazing to watch. I was expecting people to be really spicy but they were so constructive, kind, humble, amazing to listen to and amazing to watch. I LOVED IT! I also wanna try that food coz it looks delicious. Hopefully one day, we would have the pleasure of trying such foods in South Africa
