I wake up groggy and if my alarm goes off, I feel I'm waking up in a panic (or with an elevated heart rate), rather than waking up more gently with a slow build-up. Thanks for your review! I need to balance my circadian rhythm.
@@vox_borealis Wouldn't wanna miss it anymore. I'm a light sleeper and usually wake up multiple times during the night. This light helped with that and I even quit coffee for a week :)
I'm a Personal Trainer, and getting up at 4am in the UK when it's freezing cold and pitch black outside is a killer. You might think that a PT is a job loaded with health benefits, but you spend hours caring about others health at the expense of aspects of your own. I might get one of these now and see if it helps my sleep, as sleep quality is one of my biggest issues. Especially as all the lockdowns has ruined my energy and mental health, which makes sleep even harder.
@@apartamentechisinau4388 I Don't think it's helped my sleep at all but that's down to my lifestyle & hours. But it definitely isn't as much of a shock for the eyes & system when the alarm goes off and my eyes open.
I have an older version of the Phillips light Alarm. You can adjust the light brightness and volume of the alarm. It doesn't wake me up. But I like that when my other alarm wakes me up, that the Philips light is already on. I know there are cheaper alarm lights but i had already purchased this to try it and I have had it for many years. I paid way more then $40 though. So look for a cheaper option.
I purchased the HF3520/60 and would not recommend for three reasons (edit: I actually would recommend it because there's no competition); 1) the sound quality of the various wake up sounds are really awful, 2) the alarm functions up and stopped working one day, 3) getting connected with a person to get support is not feasible on their website. I've just been running in circles for the past 15 minutes. I will replace this clock and I will endeavor to do so without it being a Philips product.
Sorry you had that experience! What works well for me is setting my phone alarm with a peaceful tone 1 - 2 minutes before the wake up light alarm goes off. That way I can turn it off before I hear the loud noise, but I still open my eyes to the light.
@@SchuyFit Don't get me wrong, it was my favorite alarm clock ever. The audio quality is really annoying though. I didn't notice it when it was across the room, only if it was next to my head. I think I'm going to break down and buy another Philip light because there just isn't any decent competition. Maybe if I register the product right away, support will be different. There, I'm just frustrated because I'd like to get it repaired.
Hi! Great review. One question though: is it possible to put the display light completely off during the night? (So that I cannot see the time during the night) Thanks a lot, Thomas
Hey! Anyone know if there’s any wake up lights that don’t have a sound alarm feature? Or a way to turn it off? I’ve been trying to shop around but can’t seem to find one that does that. Thanks!!! ✨
Your best bet would be to get this one and just set a calm phone alarm for 1-3 mins before. Then when that goes off you can turn the wake up light alarm off while keeping the light on.
I wake up with my cellphone alarm and with a good mood, so I wonder in this product is gonna help me or something similar. I'm between this wake up light and a Lenovo Smart Clock (normal clock but with Alexa built-in) What would you choose?
What sucks with it is that the alarm is awful and there is no way to only use the lights. I would much rather let the lights go on at the same time as my google home alarm turns on
@@mli3793 If you set your phone alarm for 6:00 and the wake-up light for 6:01, you'll still get 29 minutes of the sunrise, right? It should basically be at full brightness.
Like I said in the video, set your calm phone alarm for a minute earlier. That way you wake up to a calm noise, and your room is lit up so your eyes adapt more quickly.
Thanks for watching! Do you have a wakeup light? If not, what's stopping you from getting one? Let me know in a comment :)
I have a samrt lamp and I'll definitely try to make it do a simulation of a sunrise! Thanks for the video man. :D
@@lovacsnova That sounds so cool, can smart lamps do that?
@@SchuyFit yeah man, I got Xiaomi Yeelight :) Pretty cool!
Getting my first one was a game changer. I especially like the "go to sleep" function where it gradually dims over time.
I was so skeptic about these light lamps but these really work. Waking up is much easier and pleasure. Now i cannot live without one...
Agreed!

Definitely. I've got a few videos on sleep to check out! Taping your mouth and getting the nasal strips are huge.
Best review I've seen on this product. Thorough. Straight to the point, made me buy it. Thanks man appreciate it
How has it been so far?

Fantastic to hear, enjoy it.
Thanks for the review. Useful to know the pros and cons.

I would definitely recommend focusing more on you! But yeah, the clock should help
:)

Yeah definitely nice to at least have the room bright when you wake up.
just bought this today and i'm so exited to try it! where i'm from the sun doesn't rise until 11am in the winter..
Where are you from? 🙀 You're gonna love it!
@@SchuyFit i'm from Iceland :)
@@97Gudny Very cool! Didn't know that was a thing.
Did it manage to actually wake you up regularly?
Hi! I just have the question if I don’t want to use the alarm, can I just turn it off like forever? 😅
I've always been curious about this alarm clock. I'm a pretty heavy sleeper.
It's definitely worth it. Have you tried anything else to help you get up?
I thought it was a former UFC fighter Brad Katona when looking at the thumbnail. Good video too.
I've been wondering if this was worth it! Absolutely adored this review!
I'm glad! It's been a gamechanger for me. Have you used a wake up light before?
I sleep with my blinds open 😂 I would sleep straight through this 😂
Fair enough! Have you thought about closing your blinds? Could help your sleep quality.

It is not possible to turn it completely off, only to dim it.
Is it possible to turn off the clock light completely to keep the room dark while sleeping?
It only lights up at your decided alarm time
That alarm sound is a No Go for me 🙉
Exactly why I set my phone alarm for 1 - 2 mins before! That way it's much more peaceful :)

Wake up light all the way. It's a gamechanger waking up to a bright room
Everyone has these minimal ikea and amazon style smart houses now. Its reallllly weird. We are going through a strange time... lol
Thank you for a very helpful review :) I'm excited to try my wake up light for the first time!
Awesome! Enjoy it :)
Do you know if this gives vitamin D?
It doesn't! That's definitely something you'll have to grab from the sun.
Does it remember your alarm setting or you have to set it every single day?
It remembers, and as long as you only hit the 'off' button once, it will repeat the next day.
Thank you for the review! I will need to get me one soon
Of course! It's definitely an investment worth making.
thank you
How to i chane from military time? Also am to pm
As soon as i get it ill screw it open and destroy the alarm speaker thats for sure.

As soon as i get it from amazon ill scree it open and rip out the alarm
Speaker 💯
Just use a smart bulb instead :)
I have never seen any person reviewing and selling that product telling me that it is not working or that is a total bs and I should not buy it.
I definitely have!
But you didn't test it! I Want to know how it sounds!

Definitely not watching the video because of the light 🙃
im sad it's 70 dollars and the light does not wake me up but the fucking anoying ass alarm does

just turn the fucking room light on
What if the switch is on the other side of the room ..
