      Is there Ali Abdaals recommendation list of reading or anything you’d like to advice? Honestly I want a book on behavioral economics since I’m thinking buying a new laptop but can’t decide and keep remembering Ali’s couch example on investment the one saying if you buy a better couch, tv or ps then him and his mates will sit play more games.

    I used to work in Oral-B, and one quick tip for using your power toothbrush: let the brush head clean one tooth at a time. The round brush head is meant to cup each tooth to clean it thoroughly. If you are more used to the "sawing" motion, you should get a longer brush head, or a sonic-technology toothbrush.

      @ItsAsparageese 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Seriously though, I live in my truck and my pee setup is right there close to me when I'm sitting at the desk-thing I built, right -- and it really does make me better about drinking more water because it's more convenient to pee when I need to (I'm not very body-aware so it's easy for me to accidentally ignore physical needs for long periods) because of the convenience of being able to do it without having to break away from the task I'm doing, since changing states/tasks is a big job for my ADHD brain. Previously I would struggle with subconsciously hydrating less and less because my body and brain would work together to prioritize convenience and not-having-to-pay-attention instead. Point is, I vote we normalize solutions like this even for people who are housed, because neurodivergent people like me can benefit from it and there's nothing wrong with changing systems to enable better tendencies in ourselves. Rah rah, destigmatize pee containers! 😝

    On a certain level, we have a drug store in our brain, the neurochemicals that show up in flow: so dopamine, norepinephrine, anandamide, endorphins, and serotonin. If you were to try to cocktail the street drug version of that, right, you're trying to blend like heroin and speed and coke and acid and weed- and point is, you can't do it. It turns out the brain can cocktail all of 'em at once, which is why people will prefer flow to almost any experience on Earth. It's our favorite experience. It's the most addictive experience on Earth. Why? 'Cause it cocktails five or six of the largest pleasure drugs the brain can produce. We're all capable of so much more than we know. That is a commonality across the board. And one of the big reasons is we're all hardwired for flow, and flow is a massive amplification of what's possible for ourselves.⁷

I believe that everyone, young or old, should have an investment plan that will increase their financial return from three figures to six figures. The investment can be your retirement plan or future plan, depending on what you want, but the most important thing is that you have an investment that is profitable...

    I actually got kidney stones from not drinking enough water. So it' seems simple but trust me- you want to do it. Esp if you exercise like I do.

    Wowww Pukka pads! Haven't used that for a while! Was a big part of uni for me! I remember I also loved them cause of the paper quality! Glad to be reminded of it, time to bring those back into my life me thinks 📖

    I love having an actual alarm clock. I get to wake up every morning to an annoying noise, cross the room, turn the alarm off, and go back to sleep only to wake up to my phone 30 minutes later.
