I don't quite care so much what his return might look like to Logan, I can compartmentalise these two different movies easily, and just see them as it is, movie. Not some actor's goodbye or something like that, I don't give a shit about that. But honestly I'm more worried that the MCU will probably have a hard time now recasting Wolverine since they keep on playing tug of war with these previous actors, and the next actor will definitely have a bigger shoe to fill now that we have seen Hugh yet again, instead of letting that idea slowly die out since it's been 5 years. Which comes to my second worry, MCU might not even have a Wolverine in the future 😂
But this id something in the comics death never sticks they are applying it to the MCU. You can't say no don't do that in the movies when it's something being done in the comics all the time. Only death that has sticked its Captain Marvel in the comics. They have the right to these characters so why not use them? Also Hue said " It will be his last apperance" allegedly... sot that it for what it is.
Like you said that was his version in Fox. Fox X-men isn't cannon to the MCU technically. Lets be honest this is irrevelant the real issue is they are producing to many movies or shows to properly flesh them out and you see the qaulity being rushed that's the real elephant in the room.
I have low expectations for Deadpool 3. Didn't like Deadpool 2.

Between Learning about the Blade movie going through Production hell, Now knowing Kevin Feige ain't getting much of a say in The MCU anymore to This announcement, Coupled with The Two year High Turnover of Content coming at us too fast, It's kinda painting a picture spelling That Marvel is using the Multiverse as an excuse to Fill the movies with cameos and not trusting the title character themselves to just lead the movie on their own. Because that worked so well for their rival franchi-No, it didn't. They want to make every movie post-Endgame and No Way Home just their next Endgame and No Way Home. And it's why I'm worried that Secret Wars will be "Party like it's 2002: The Movie"

I completely understand and even sort of agree with where people are coming from with this decision somewhat cheapening Logan to an extent.
Personally, I won't be too bothered about Hugh coming back IF it's done well. A part of me is excited to indulge in some more Cameo junk food lol, but the other side of me has NOT been thrilled with the recent MCU productions, and I'm not too optimistic about their lineup for the next few years. Just seeing what's been going on with Blade has me raising an eye brow, She Hulk is currently not amazing, didn't care for Ms Marvel and was disappointed by Doctor Strange. The optics just aren't looking too good.
I think one thing is for sure though, Ryan is passionate about this character, and will hopefully put his heart into this. That's more than can be said about the conveyer belt of content that they've been shitting out recently. At worst it'll be a cheap hit of cameo fueled nostalgia baiting, at best they actually have a vision and will pull this off well. At the very least I suspect it'll be enjoyable, even if not amazing.
Hoping for the best, it's one of the few MCU projects I'm looking forward to for the next few years.
