You see large amounts of bad orders regardless of your AR. The only difference between high and low is you have to take them.
My ar is 99-100 and I don't get bad orders. I accept everything and average 35-40 per hour. Their ai knows if you cherry pick.
@@BoroDabs how long have you been DD? how many hours weekly?
@@jrex3575 going on like 5 weeks now, around 250 dashes, not a lot of work time
Watched part of your vid before my shift. First order was $14 to pick up 6km away and deliver 0.5km. Above 70%. This happens on a regular basis for me. They're pretty good at estimating how long a restaurant takes to complete an order and how long it should take a driver to arrive. Easy for them to send a driver from further away and still have them arrive around the time it's ready.
There are a lot of drivers in my area. a high AR is a must or you're not going to see anything of any value, there's earn by time and sometimes that's good and sometimes it's quiet
Good realistic tips!
It’s all a mind game with DD! I’m all over the place with my AR! I cherry pick & am very happy with that!
Having a high AR in my market matters. Under 50% was horrible for me.
Completely agree just accept the orders that make since for you.
I'm not that far from you I'm up working from Taunton up to Boston I'm 20% your logic is correct one of my neighbors likes to be top Dasher. I've looked at her orders she takes more of the low-paying. More of them. My hourly rate averages higher and half the mileage on the car. In fact she does do dashing in Providence sometimes. Top Dasher is beneficial for Door dash.
After playing both cherrypicker and super high a.r. top dasher, i can say they actually will hail a high a.r. driver from further away from the merchant. They use the prep time to do this.
In my market (As I do believe they vary) they will usually send you the order when they believe the order is 1-2 minutes within being done
If you say no to bad orders, you aren’t necessarily not going to get other orders. You could turn down a $4 order and then get an $8 one shortly after.
Thanks Josh for the great content
Thank you! ❤️
@@DoorDashJosh You're Welcome
I’ve been in side of the restaurant when the doordash orders came through and I still didn’t receive it and and this has been countless times! my acceptance rate is low because if I accepted everything , I’d be in the streets that much quicker!
fellow Rhode Islander. nice to see
Hello! 🤓
Everybody is one major breakdown away from not being able to do doordash, my acceptance rate is 40% and I'm okay with that, I work nights so not too many people in my area like to do it... I never take anything under $5, even then it better be like a mile or two or it will be declined
Had a $300 day yesterday. Started about 11 am stopped about 10:30 pm. We run 97 AR. Most orders are $12 plus. We get high orders sometime from 10-15 minutes away from restaurant. Bozeman Montana. Learn the stores that have higher stacked order possibilities. We will take $6-8 offers for one order and walk out with another order for also $6-8. Both drop offs in reasonable range. We can make $1000 plus a week. Only downside is we drive in from West Yellowstone 85 miles away to dash. Upside? It’s a beautiful peaceful drive thru the park and big sky.
I accept $1 per mile. I’m declining anything less. Normally when I decline a bad order the next one is worth it. I’m in a super saturated area. But I always try to remember, time is money.
I'll accept a $1 per mile if I'm already headed back to a nearby pick-up spot, headed home, or the offer is going to a place where I know I will get another order. But if I'm already at a hotspot/zone, then I won't. Even if it's highway miles, it's just a waste of time.
I'm in Baltimore I do doordash full time the market here is trash
And no I feel the AR shouldn't matter at all
In our market yes grab those short miles because as we know our market is VERY big omg
Hope Valley is not close
I enjoy those 1 mile orders for $4-5, can easily do like 5 of them an hour if they’re consistent enough
My take on acceptance rating after 1k Ratings.
I feel like acceptance rating matters in a saturated market, meaning if there are a ton of drivers in your area.
Due to being a top dasher, doordash literally sends me orders that are 6-10miles away from my current location.
Even though the pay is nice, it makes it not worth it since the resturant/store is that far away.
I feel like being a top dasher sort of sabotages you because doordash sends you more offers that are SUPER far away from your location just because the higher pay.
IE: Wise market, shop for 12 items... Store 6 miles away.
Pay is 9 bucks, Priority pay!
Would you take that?
Nope!
Fuck no!
My buddy and I tested priority, he was over 50% AR and I was under; we were half a mile apart and I got an $8 3mile order over him….Shit doesn’t add up
I don't know bro. I have over 10K deliveries in the NY area. Used to make a killing. However the last 2 years as more dirt poor drivers have come aboard, along with the fact I refuse to take any offer under $6, I've since basically been shadow banned. Not only do I not get "good" offers, I barely get offers at all. I can drive for hours, in America's biggest city, and get NO offers whatsoever. Why? Because my AR hovers under 20% at all times. In fact a local Thai place that I used to do massive buisiness from always is asking me how come they don't see me anymore? I told them I must be cut off.
I will say tho i am a too dasher because of my shop and pays and plan too keep it for the next month because idk if my day job if im going on strike or not next month lol. So i may need it
I think those hot zones are crap 😂
I was in my area Ft Lauderdale
shade gray...It's not business
but the city above Pompano was showing "very busy"
Just for fun .
I drove to Pompano
took like 15 minutes to get there
City color change... IT'S NOT BUSY 😂
Now it's showing the next upper city Deerfield..."very busy"
One again I quickly drive another 15 minutes north..
Deerfield city turns from VERY BUSY TO NOT BUSY 😂
By this time 30 minutes I'm driving
North...
I see Ft Lauderdale " very busy" 😂😂😂
So chasing RED VERY BUSY
is something I'll never be stupid enough to do again 😂
yea florida zones be so inconsistent, the closer to miami tho the more busy it gets
@@greedyjalen44
If I had kept going NORTH
I'd be in Georgia 😂😂😂
@@Corey300 🤣🤣🤣😭😭
My argument for high ar will always remain the same, if it matters so much, how do we go from 70% back to 6% if the orders at 70% were sooooo wonderful
Papa Johns manager here in Scottsdale has overwhelming proof Dash is taking customer tip money, and giving the driver less. BE careful. They are desperate.
Your delivery drivers take the low mileage orders and leave the high ones for app drivers, is that true?
For UberEATS I want to keep it above 6 dollars but on Door Dash it would make sense taking an order for 5 going less than 2.5 miles.
Same here, Uber is my secondary and it’s really gotta be worth it to do
@@DoorDashJosh I just don't feel like waiting the hour to know that something like 5.45 is all I get on UberEATS and I believe that UberEATS hides tips
Top Dasher is a participation trophy 🏆. It's based on trips not on money made. I'm shooting for the highest dollar trophy thanks
Within the last year there's been a huge increase of Russian/Kazahkstan driver's ( most don't speak any English)'here in LA(specifically Hollywood area)who use 2-3 ( saw 1 Russian driver had 4 phones!)to effectively "steal" orders from all of us drivers who play by the rules and use 1 phone/account and multi-app. A year ago it was rare to see driver with 2 phones. They use ghost accounts with driver names that change every 15 days/ pay a fixer 100 buck a every 15 days to keep using fake ghost accounts. Yes some do use relative/friend phone account as well. Open borders doing their thing!
AR only matters with oversaturation. you won’t be getting offers at 30% AR because you have a bunch of new dashers in your area that have a higher honeymoon priority percentage than yours. the algorithm prioritizes them first with the high pay offers.
there’s the competition in it. of course you’d be getting the high pay offers if you were the only one dashing in your area at 30% AR but that’s the system and dashers come and go. you have new drivers every month..
having even 70% AR scheduled on a grey zone keeps you busy because you have the priority over others while lower % drivers get nothing when competing against you. not only that, the algorithm just favors and dumps you more offers regardless with high priority.. AR matters.
In my market ar does matter!
I agree DoorDash's idea of a high pay order is ridiculous. Like the one you kept showing.
Here is the facts, people will be like nah. To justify them taking bad orders lol it's doesn't matter, at all..... The only perk for top dasher is dash anytime!!! Im in a super saturated market!! And i bank higher in less time then top dahser in my area!!! Why!!! Because well they have to take bad orders too maintain there ar lol. I don't!! I schedule in advance so being a top dasher is fail for me!! Ik what restaurant or store to park at!! Another thing that helps me!!! I have about 3K deliveries so I've been doing this for a while!!
54%. I'm coming for you josh lol
😅
First order today 15.1 miles 8.75 second order 6 miles 2.25
3rd order 10 miles 7.50
Umm acceptance was 83 so I have no idea. I declined 12 orders today. My market suuuuuucks. They are all like this 3 miles 3.25 no tip. Is this normal?
Same for me too omg my rate was 84% now it’s like 79% we worked hard for dat but it makes you think what about the people with lower AC rates . Rates at now
I heard that if the apps penalize you in any way for declining an order the gvmnt will classify you as an employee. You are a contractor...
When you’re running both apps, what happens if you have two orders at the same time ?
The same time
Only happens when I’m within 2 minutes of dropping off my first order, I don’t take a chance doing that
What if you’re top dasher and next to the restaurants lol
Yes, you sayou can be sitting at a Dunkin and they They choose another one a few miles up. Maybe that 1 have better service than the one you were sitting at. In the turnover rate and better customer service you let me know you live there
No one is tipping that much in my market.
Where’s door dash josh :(((((?
Your acceptance rate does not matter
I truly believe it, I think it only plays a role if you want top dasher for unlimited access to dashing
@@DoorDashJosh I had a 89% rate and was still getting bad order mostly bad orders it doesn’t matter. It ain’t worth it to be a too dasher yes it’s good to dash anytime but I’ll take my chances with the schedule.
Hey Josh did you get a notification about the lifetime deliveries error or was it just me it took about 300 deliveries off of my lifetime total
Yes, mine got reset a few hundred
What happening you havent upload any vids lately 😮
Video coming momentarily 😬
Let your AR get into the red and tell me it doesn't make a difference. And doordash will deactivate you for being in the single digits, but they won't tell you that the reason why, they will look for any reason to deactivate you including a single complaint of delivery not received.
Yo yo yo
Howdy partner!
3.8 miles shouldn't take 19 minutes
Your market matters….not your Ar
AR does matter the FACT that doordash hired all these drivers like come on you got all these drives with a high AR and yiu think yo little 10% AR finally get that big order over me with a 80%AR try again we all learned that when doordash hired all these doordash drivers if you ain’t learn you gotta
I mean I’m sitting between 10-40% getting $25-35 an hour 😬, as I mentioned before my opinion is it doesn’t matter
@@DoorDashJosh of course and your BLESSED your market is wonderful mines 👎🏾 I went below 60% took me 9 hours to get $100 that means ALL day
