If it's below $7 and more than 6 miles, you can find some other dope to do it. I'm trying to make a living out here, not run a charity.

Doordash really depends on your market, my areas around me aren't amazing but the area I always go to nets me 20 plus an hour consistently so that's where I go. There's not enough orders to decline 80% of them lol I have about a 50% acceptance rate
I also disagree about not taking the smaller order, again depending on your area those can be solid. I've knocked out 5 dollar orders in 5 to 10 minutes before. I look at dollar per mile but mainly look at dollar amount for the amount of time I think the order will take. If I see a 7 dollar order but think it will take over 20 minutes I'm not taking it but if a 5 dollar order pops up and I think I can do it in 15 or less I'm taking it.

Interesting...I use the In-App Navi because I don't have to flip back and forth. I like Waze but feel like DoorDash navigation does the best job at highlighting exactly where the house is related to your car's location. My question, if Waze is the default how can you switch to DD navigation to see where the house is once you arrive? Even Google Maps by itself basically ends navigation and doesn't show me the actual house location.

You forgot one very important info which many drivers overlook:
    # 6. Have a minimum price per mile AND miles expected to travel
Drivers forget to include that it is not only dropping off; you also need to come back. So really if an order is, say, 4 miles what you should be doing is telling yourself 8 miles. That's why I charge (but never limit myself) to $2/mile and that's just on the travel.
Also none of that cross country drop off unless it is paying ridiculously high. What is ridiculously high? 12 miles for $40+

I love driving and flexible schedule, but I did have concerns when starting because I have an older car. Worried if it was worth all the wear & tear and that nagged at me. Then had a lightbulb moment, so offering a tip. In my area, a typical 9-5 job would take easily a commute of 30-40 miles roundtrip. So if I can keep my daily miles to the 40-50 range, it's no different than if I was commuting for an office job. The wear & tear is the same, and so I don't feel that nagging anymore saying that driving has hidden costs over an office job.

Let's ask this... ARE non tip orders Worth driving them?... My answer NO!!! Here is why... Min Wage is 7.25 (Federal Wage) Add in Insurance per day (about 10$ a day or 1.125/hr (if working 8 hours)) that would bring it to 8.38 to make min wage for 0 miles... Gas on a 20mpg Car Should average $0.17 Per Mile. (if you got a high end car you can probs expect to pay higher insurance but It bottoms out at $0.06 for a 60MPG car). Average Orders Per Hour With Doordash is 2 Orders PER HOUR... Seldom 3, Even at 3 that is 7.50/(8.38+(Miles Driven*.17)) Assuming 0 Miles (which isn't possible) That is only 88.41% of Minimum Wage (at 2 it is 58.94% of minimum wage, and only 1 dash per hour 29.47%) That being said No Tip Orders ARE NOT WORTH YOUR TIME PEOPLE... The numbers are right there...

My lived experience is very different. I am not finding a lot of tips very helpful because if I decline crappy orders, I get no orders and I make nothing. I am pretty much only being sent Garbage orders and I have to take them or I will make nothing. And if your acceptance rate is too low you can't be top dasher and if you are not top dasher you can't work whenever you want, You have to schedule which means you don't always get to work when you're available to work. I do not understand how everyone seems to be getting wonderful orders and making so much money. When I tried the tips and tricks on here and other places I end up making even less than I normally make. I am extremely lucky if I can possibly make $20 an hour but I usually make between $15-18 an hour and this is in the Bay area so it should be way way more than that.

When you keep rejecting the garbage, the company gets the message, and then sends you the good stuff. No matter what their sales pitch is, they want all of us out there and delivering. Everything you talked about I do daily. Most importantly not picking up the phone unless it’s an emergency !

There is so much traffic in Tampa I get to surf the internet sitting at red lights... ridiculous... I wait no more than 5-10 minutes with tips... no tip no wait! Otherwise, unassign and move on! I never realized that they can send you a long way! Thanks! I'll try the fastest way to get there, otherwise, I leave it and go on! Tuesdays/Wednesdays are the shitty days in Tampa! I do Thurs-Mon... Sunday afternoons are off for hockey! I work Fri/Sat nights and take off Sundays! I mix it up to try to ensure I get my hockey (exercise), travel hockey, commitments, and money-making in! The only person I pick up the phone to is my disabled roommate who doesn't drive! She keeps it quick, and if it's an emergency then she will call!

The not waiting thing is incorrect. For example I accepted a grub hub order and pay for $26, the wait turned out to be 1/12 hours, so I informed the customer and then signed onto Doordash and made $31 in an hour, went back and waited another 15 minutes and kept the customer in the loop, when I delivered his order he tipped me an additional $40 in cash for waiting. That’s $97 in 1hr45 minutes and this scenario has happened many times with me. It’s about working a good area with people with lots of money

I just subscribed because every thing you said in this video I do. I start my stop clock when I get to your store. Hell or high water In 10 min I’m bouncing. I don’t look for customers I call you once then I call dash and I’m dropping it. I always have watched but just didn’t click the red button. MY BAD KOUP I FOLLOW MY MILES VS TIME RATIO. IF YOU MAKE MY RESTAURANT BLACK LIST IM NOT GOING BACK UNLESS YOU DROP 20 or more then I will do my reevaluation then. AGAIN MY BAD KOUP FOR NOT SUBSCRIBING ALONG TIME AGO. NOW IM THINKING ABOUT THAT DASH DRIVE PROGRAM

I'm going out this morning. Their GPS has had me 'in 1,000 feet make a U-turn, and again'🤣, and has mindlessly sent me through neighborhoods to reach a point that could have taken me 2 minutes. You can't replace time. I'm using Google Maps, bet this alone will increase my $$. Thank you!

Not gonna lie, declining shit orders tanked my AR and now I get ABSOLUTELY NOTHING but low paying high mileage orders. I think you’re wrong with the whole “AR doesn’t matter” spiel. I always get $$4 orders to go 6-7 miles with Door Trash, but with UE, and a mix of Uber X, I’m easily clearing $1000 a week.
