I found out years ago from my father who was in the Army in 67, But the strings for my Bandoliers I had to cut a couple strands first. Then they just pulled right off.

Yeah I have been doing this for a long time, and I didn't know until about a year before I made this video. I was showing people at work, they had never seen it either, so I made the video.

What is the purpose of the safety pin? It's too specific to not have a purpose.

I believe it's to attach the bandolier to your shirt or vest, to keep it from flapping around. That's just a guess though.

@@3KindsOfGuns Thanks for the reply, brother. Ive done some research, and found that it has several functions.
It can be used to adjust the length of the strap, hang the speed loader, so you don't lose it, and can be used to get the white string started for removal. Your idea is also a good use. Now we all know. 👍🏻
I have a ton of these safety pins that i saved from my time in the Army. They are very handy for all kinds of situations. I've used them to hold my pants up when the button on my uniform came off in the feild, among many other non bandaleer uses.

@@3KindsOfGuns could you give me some insight on how and when this would be recommended to use and like why you would want to use one in a certain situation for example, thanks! Any input is appreciated!
