    FYI,
    The "speed loader" is called a Charger, the safety pin is used to adjust the strap or pin the charger to the Bandolier. In the old days our Bandoliers were 7 pocked that held 20rnds per pocket for the 20rnd magazines (standard at the time) we used the safety pin to pin the Bandolier to our shirt to keep the Bandolier from swinging out when on maneuvers and in fire fights, we never used it for sizing the strap, we just knotted it to fit.

      That's right, same thing here, the bandoleers can also hold mags once their loaded up, new ones pull the white thread out and it'll hold 30rd mags. I watched guys load without the spoon using a leather man tool. Great way to fu a mags feed lips. Couldn't tell them otherwise. Millennial snowflake b.s..

    You literally locate the end of the string and pull...🙄

      I think he got confused because the knotted end to pull is on the left, not the right side.

    The black safety pin attaches to the center of the sling and clips through the center top of the bandolier making two 0’s to put your arms through and wear as a chest rig…it’s a vietnam trick…source:

    Safety pin is to stick the spoon on visibly instead of throwing it in one of the pockets.

    I packed a bunch of my M855 in bandoliers, I found a deal on repack kits on keepshooting and got a few of them. When packed they fit great into an ammo can. BTW that speed loader works on almost all mags and is called a spoon.

    Instead of using a finger to push the rounds into the magazine, how about using the edge of another magazine to keep from chewing up your fingers. The safety pin is to secure the metal reloading spoon to the bandoleer.

    • @DaveSmith-cp5kj
      @DaveSmith-cp5kj 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The safety pin is actually intended to adjust the length of the strap so it fits you if you are wearing webbing or a plate carrier. But yes, it should be used to keep the spoon retained but still usable without taking it off the safety pin.

  • @NWIPrepper19113
    @NWIPrepper19113 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Howdy Tony. The safety pin is to attach the speed loader to the bandolier so you don't lose it and end up having to load mags one round at a time

  • @whiterabbit201
    @whiterabbit201 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Didn't empty a mag to show the loading, didn't go check to see it the stripper guide would fit on a pmag(they do), didn't know the guide clip is attached to the bando with the safety clip, and spent half the video trying to pull a string out of a bando. Please tell us why you made this video??? You need some help???

    Useful, but i would say if you have an "Overlocker" sewing machine redo all the seams with to reinforce them (maybe even redo the web belt) would be cheap and quick upgrade.

  • @schaferhundschmidt1798
    @schaferhundschmidt1798 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Ok, genius, 1. 7 bandolieer @ 120 rd. ea. in a can=840 rounds. 2. The official nomenclature for the "speedloader" is charger, but you ask a grunt for a charger you'll get a "WTF" look. It's a spoon. 3. You've never opened a feed bag in your life, or you'd know a much easier way to get the white string out. 4. Carrying mags in bandolieers is not a "cool" way to carry mags, as even using the safety pin to shorten up the strap, they are still loud. Often they get stuffed in there and tucked in a vehicle or ruck, to be busted out if needed. And as has been suggested, the safety pin can be used to secure the spoon to bandolieer, or ones vest or or gear. So, which NG Remf unit were you in?

    Why are they so cheap looking?...are they rugged at all vs mag pouches? Most mag punches I have seen are made with thicker material...

    • @azure6392
      @azure6392 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      They are cheap because they can be. Not meant for field use. Just carrying reload ammo. There are sturdier USGI bandoliers for six 30 rd mags. About $7 each.

      Surplus stores are perfect to find stuff like that from your username u like airsoft so I recommend u to go to a military surplus store cause those things were made to last while being cheaply produced so definitely go there (in stores it might be expensive but it's totally worth it trust me)
