IT’S HERE! Collecting my 911 Carrera GTS 992 from Porsche!

- The ultimate every day 911?! That’s what I’m hoping! It’s #NewCar Day and today I collect my 911 992 Carrera 2 #GTS from #Porsche Centre Reading. I spec’d it with you guys in the last video, but it’s actually a car I ordered almost a year ago, since which I’ve driven the GTS on multiple occasions including the lightweight pack in Spain, 4WD, RWD, Targa and more. The last video convinced of it’s brilliance, but luckily I was not far away from delivery! Last video with the 4 GTS: • 2022 911 Carrera 4 GTS...
Today in usual RBR Porsche collection tradition, we will check out the awesome press cars at HQ, from a berry GT4, all the way to a Ruby Star GT3 and even some classics like the G model Turbo 911 and Super 90! Then I’ll fill you in on the changes coming to all Porsche centres worldwide, starting in the UK at the Reading HQ.
Then finally, the unveil of my car including a full spec run down of what I chose for my 992 GTS, as there are so many options to choose from! Some nicer ones, in particular, are the high gloss black trim package, GTS interior package with red finish, carmine red dials and then I add my own flair to the spec with some choice livery and the black rear arch protection foils for 992.
A really important factor for me with 911, is family. So I’ll also talk about getting a baby seat in the 992, and which baby pram I recommend, the one shown in the video which fits in the 911 frunk is the Recaro Easylife Elite 2 - www.recaro-kid...

Silver Porsches are my favorite. Maybe bc the first time i got up close and personal to one i was with my dad who had pulled into a dealership mall and stopped at a silver Porsche out front of bmw. It was absolutely beautiful to the point i clearly never forgot about this vivid memory and this is easily 15 years ago.
Congratulations! My Targa GTS is at the port and should be here next week. Can't wait!
Be thankful you have the means to buy a Porsche. I can’t afford one so the closest thing that I can get with the same amount of thrills or more is a Ducati monster.

Brilliantly specced, looks incredible in silver/gloss black and red accents. I'd leave out the center stripe, but you nailed it.
Congratulations Raz. A very nice specification, the gloss black works a treat with the GT Silver including the wheels. Keen to see how you find it as a daily and for the fun drives.

I think I would try and spec my GT3 a similar way (if I ever got the opportunity!).
Center stripe is garish.
Very nice! After looking at 911 colors over the years, I agree that GT Silver still remains the best. The (black trimmed) headlights, the gloss black treatments and the turbo rear arch throwback along with the stripe add so much. The only thing I would add are white instrument dials to the interior.
Looks like you and I have the same taste. Spec’d my 911.2 2017 based on contrast, crystal sunroof, gloss wheels all on stock white car. Still love my car 5 years on so much, it superseeds anything others have to say. Undecided on the rear protection vynal, they nare there for a very good reason as you will find. They need work polishing out the stone chips. Hope you love the car half as much as I love mine. It’s a 4S and added Power pack 450 bhp, PDCC, 4WD, 4w Steering, 18 way seats, heat and cool air. Same as the GTS (almost) that released a month or so later. The car has much, much more than I dare take it to. It’s still a dream each time I open the garage and see it. 🥰

I love it - I wish Porsche would allow an option to have a simple GTS for the rear designation badge, rather than a short essay.

@@sinoperture but the guy says he wishes there was a GTS badge. You can get the 911 badge on any 911 model which makes it a bit meh 🤷🏾♂️... A GTS badge on the other hand, would only be available on the GTS
My favourite car brand because they really do make cars way beyond anything else. Such an awesome experience in all areas.
Congrats. Nicely spec’d GTS for sure. I like the detail of the content you share in all your videos. I recently got a 718 Boxster 25 (4.0 GTS) in same exterior color and I agree the color looks amazing in different lights. Look forward to your driver experience as the 911 GTS is next on my list of cars I would love to own.

I would do without the black side arch protection foils, they read as fake vents to me...like it's a pretend Turbo but that aside, this spec is absolutely gorgeous. Congratulations.

Don't read too many reviews, it was your fun and you pulled the trigger on something that you liked for yourself. It's definitely more interesting than what some other channels did. I think it looks very GTS-like, as a Porsche guy I would be right away like - oh this is not just a 992. So well done. Oh and, for Porsche people, so where it really counts :), decals are a nice touch and those are very stylish.
When I purchased the same in the So Cal, the sales guy asked, if I would use her on track days? I said no, then you do not need the Carbon Ceramic brakes. How nice. So you made the right call.😄

i have recently purchased a GTS 2022, i also have 991.2 Turbo s with ceramics, wow what a difference, massive difference. Dont track the GTS with those steel brakes!
Looks great and it’s fast for sure! I had one for 4-6 weeks whilst my 991.1 S2 PDK was being repaired and to be honest I could not wait to get mine back! When I did I had a big grin on my face. These turbo engines are so boring and quiet they mayas all be a hybrid, electric etc. Now I know my next upgrade has to be a GT3 only! Naturally Aspirated engine is king!
Why no new content on your GTS ? Would love to get your updates as I have one on order and moving from a 992S
I was lucky enough to have the previous generation GTS but it didn’t do a lot for me. This looks stunning and I get the impression there is more soul in this version. I would literally copy this exact spec
WTF, this new one is just an improvement on the 991.2, if you didnt like that (never heard anyone say it didnt do a lot for them) then I cant see how this would do anything more for you.. The 991.2 was incredible, this is just more incredible.
@@davidkn yes it was a great car but when I drove a McLaren that was so much lighter (and louder), I suddenly remembered what my older 911’s used to be like. The difference is huge between generations and the McLaren just brought them all back- I am a huge Porsche fan before you think anything else!
@@jak493 you can’t really compare a mid range 911 to a Mclaren though, different price point. The mclaren is nearly twice the price! You need to be comparing a GT3RS or a GT2RS to one of those.

Congratulations 👏 I got my turbo s last month exact same colour with the Porsche stripes along the side doors.. model deletion at the rear would look better in my opinion 👍 all bcos of easier cleaning and less of the logo's as they look too long, all in all nice GTS...loving your back to future special effect feature drive home 🚀👍

Looks absolutely amazing. My torn between this spec and adding the aero kit in my build.
You and I obviously differ on our definition of "stealth." GTS on the doors, PORSCHE on the hood, and 911 Carerra GTS on the rear, Stripe on the wing....regardless, it's a beautiful 911and you are fortunate to have it. I'm typically not a silver fan, yet that Metalic silver looks really good.

I've specced this car up on the configurator so many times. Same spec as yours comes out each time, but in orange as the contrast with the high gloss black just pops.

I didn’t like the grey but after I saw the contrast between the red details of the GTS interior it just turned me around and it is an excellent pick. Enjoy it and drive safe !

Love the specs! The gloss black parts really do make a difference, think the matt version looks quite cheap in comparison.
My 991 C4S is also a family car. Car seat fits perfect, and my daughter (and soon new additional daughter!) love the “fast car” 🚘

The stripe is not too bad but I have an issue with the way the letters aren't symmetrical. Maybe the stripe without the letter at all would be better for me. I like the gloss black externals but I was never a fan of black wheels.

Big down payment, trade in and good credit. I can’t afford one myself so the closest thing I can buy that provides just as much thrills or more is a Ducati monster.
He’ll get a tax write off as it’s classed as a business expense. 20k down and the TH-cam ad revenue will more than pay for the monthly payment.

Personally I wouldn't have had the centre stripe. I'd have left the rear light bar red and had the alloys retro painted silver to be able to see the design of them. Other than that 👍👍

Who did the centre stripe for you? I have ordered a similar car, but the option strip deletes the Sunroof, which is a must.

I would have done matte black for the wheels and plastic bits, and painted roof to show the stripe continuing to the back,and not gotten that wheel well backsplash thingy. Everything is is really cool.

for the two people that also have a Porsche, a frunk and small dogs that need a pet stroller: look up the Ibiyaya Speedy Fold Pet Buggy. It is made in Taiwan and is of good quality for a pet stroller (Taiwan is really into small dogs!). It fits both in the frunk and the rear of my 718 gts 4.0. I tried about five other strollers before we were able to fine this one.

I’ve got a September build slot for my 992 GTS. Really looking forward to it.
I can’t wait to get it. Been my dream to buy a 911 for so long and finally able to buy one new is a big goal ticked off my list. (I’m in Australia so my final build price finished up a tad under $408,000)
So videos like this really helped when locking in my spec and selecting options that I feel I’ll actually get enjoyment out of!

Congratulations! Why are they so much more expensive in AU? $408k AUD = $280k USD. That price would buy a fully optioned turbo S here!
@@gregs8685 part of it is taxes and other is just what Porsche like to charge us. A properly optioned turbo s would of been another 200k over what I spent.

How did you get the motorsport sticker? It's incompatible with the sunroof in the configurator.

GTS is the sweet spot in the range.
It's speced to be sold in a few month, just like most other car TH-camrs. Shmee actually owns his cars.
