    Allows changes to be made on the fly for pedal sensitivity. Great in conjunction with a modded engine so you can set it for others to drive with less sensitivity. Been using mine trouble free since 2018.

    Great video! How are you using Range and the pedal commander at the same time?

    • @hunterrwiilson
      @hunterrwiilson  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you!
      The Range device stays plugged into the OBD2 port while the Pedal Commander plugs into your throttle connector. They’ve both been working perfectly fine since I’ve installed each of them. No interference or anything.

  • @bobbyestes916
    @bobbyestes916 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    so i’m guessing this doesn’t give you more HP or torque, just more of a throttle response

    • @bobbyestes916
      @bobbyestes916 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      or even better gas mileage

    • @hunterrwiilson
      @hunterrwiilson  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It changes the voltage sent to the throttle body. So you can make it more sensitive or less. "ECO" mode can help your gas mileage, but from personal experience, I have gotten worse gas mileage from mashing my foot down so much...

    What’s up my dude. I noticed you have the device AFM delete to keep in v8 all time. I have the same thing on mine. Question is …. Will pedal commander work with that device plugged in too ? I ordered a pedal commander should be here Tuesday

    • @hunterrwiilson

      It most definitely works! I've had both the Pedal Commander and the AFM disabler on simultaneously for almost two years now and they work perfectly around each other.

    Did you have to tune the truck or the little computer do everything?

    • @hunterrwiilson
      @hunterrwiilson  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No tuning required! This basically just adjusts the voltage sent to throttle body and controls it that way. This module does all the adjustments for you so you can just enjoy it.

  • @Anubis78250
    @Anubis78250 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    If all this is doing is increasing the signal voltage then it's not actually addressing the problem of throttle lag, only changing the pedal effective range.
    The problem is the delay time, not range of pedal travel.

    • @hunterrwiilson
      @hunterrwiilson  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      From what I know, and have experienced, the increase in signal voltage to the throttle body then "tricks" the truck into thinking the pedal has been pressed further down than the actual pressure applied. Therefore, decreasing throttle lag.

    • @Anubis78250
      @Anubis78250 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@hunterrwiilson But that's just it, there is no decrease in lag (that is the delay in TIME from input to output), there is only an increase in the magnitude of said input. It's only changing the exponential curve of the throttle, not the time it takes for the actuator motor to do what it's being told.
      Find an older vehicle with a throttle cable. From idle press the pedal all the way to the floor then release. The engine will rev up quite a bit then settle back to idle.
      Now do the same thing in a vehicle with an electronic throttle. The engine will not rev, it will in most cases never leave idle.
      That is the lag, you've gone all the way to full throttle and back before the engine even starts to respond.
      That's the problem. This thing just makes it so you don't have to move your foot as far.

    • @hunterrwiilson
      @hunterrwiilson  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Anubis78250 you are correct. But, the guys over at Pedal Commander have a good idea of what they’re doing, and made a pretty good product. It may not be the answer to your problem, but it sure does help the situation at hand with how “laggy” these trucks are.
