    You're a wonderful artist who manages to capture the exact "here and now" telling stories unmentioned and understood easily by all who view your work. ❤

    4 excellent shoots! Loved the first 2 as they have that real documentary sense to them and feel really natural. I think the fact they’re on film and the colours it captures compared to the later digital work makes them that much better for me as well.
    Must have been a great feeling walking into his house and seeing that portrait on the wall!

    I love your photographs and your story telling. I have a technical background and since I am a child I am fascinated with photography. my photography is a mirror of my personality and I feel that only it is now since about 10 years I am able to take photographs that are unique and good in its own way. I will never make any money from it; but I admire those who can.

    What I like about these stories is the context regarding the different eras in out recent history. It's nice to be reminded of the mid-90s, early 2000s etc.
    I remember when Kitchen Nightmares first started on TV and people being really interested in this Ramsay guy.

      Thanks for the suggestion, I will look into this but most often Harry likes to use natural light!

      @@fredandharryborden I’d love to see how Harry gets such balanced images using natural light. But I’d also be interested in how he shifts to flash when necessary. These are the best videos I’ve seen in a long time. Incredibly useful!

    Found the video - thank you!
    Being a ‘95 baby I was digital photography first and I’m only really exporting film now, so I’m always coming away with so many questions about your process after watching the videos!
    With this one, what do you mean when you say transparency film and how does that relate to your cross processing technique?
    Apologies that these questions may seem a bit daft but I’m a baby when it comes to film haha

      Will send @harryborden you way!

    • @harryborden6077
      @harryborden6077 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi, no worries! So you can process Transparency film (positive) in a C41 process (intended for negative film) and it produces a very contrasty negative.
      Or you can also put Negative film in an E6 process (intended for transparency film) and it produces a very contrasty transparency. All these techniques seem a bit mad now as you can change the contrast and colour of your images in Photoshop! Enjoy your photography! ;-)

    Starting with 'Aubergine', this video led me down the Wikipedia rabbit hole for over an hour ! Great video and story.
    Just Googling Harry's work, he's taken so many celebrity photographs that there must be enough material for YEARS to come !
    On the first page of his Getty Images page alone there's Boris Becker, Russell Brand and Mark E Smith !
