What a gem your channel is. Found thanks to the article about you in AP. Learned a lot about portraiture just by listening to you and the videos of you working. That’s not all though. The realisation that nothing lasts, be it good or bad has particular resonance for me as my dear wife passed away at Easter 2024. Photography is a great thing either amateur or professional. Hope you continue to enjoy what you do and have success. Thank you and look forward to future videos. Peter. .
Thank you Peter, Harry has been writing for AP for years. I think he's friends with the guy who runs it. Really sorry to hear about your wife. And appreciate the comment, glad to have you on board.
been binging on your videos for the past week, you are both an amazing photographer and story teller, only a matter of time for the algorithm overlords in TH-cam reward you
bruuuuh... you are both very talented... I could listen to your dad stories anytime but with the sensitively chosen background music it is a pleasure... Thank you both for making these happen. I am literally moved by these.
I can listen to you and look at your masterpieces for hours! Thank you so much Harry for sharing your great experiences with the world! Stay always well and motivated!
Thanks for another superb story, perhaps the best one so far. The black door photos represent one of Harry's greatest strengths as a photographer. He has a way of using architectural elements not only to build composition but as a sort of second character that interacts with the person being photographed. Over the years, I've often looked at one of Harry's photos and thought "How on Earth did he think of placing the person there?" Today, I know a little more thanks to these videos.
Another really beautifully told background story to the photograph. What I always like about you is that you really come across as genuine. Sadly, not all photographers are like you.
That ring flash portrait of Tony Blair is burned into my visual memory - I had always thought it was Rankin. Speaks to your range of photographic style!
Thanks Chris 🙏 As I said the other day, they're fun to do and it's lovely collaborating with Fred. You should do some, you're a such a good storyteller...
I, too have photographed lots of prime ministers, though, to tell the truth I was not invited. They never even knew I was there, till the photos hit social media,
It’s a bit rich to suggest I have to embrace certain things in order to sit through a video with a war criminal. Surely you would’ve known this would have raised a few issues.? Maybe scrape the barrel a bit more next time you are looking for content.
@@fredandharryborden No not at all but I think it was worth calling you out for attempting to create revenue from someone who was responsible for so many deaths. I’m not even political. Good luck with the others.

Not only are you a master of photography, you are a master storyteller. Love that these vignettes are committed to history
I concur- fed up of nerdy TH-cam photographers talking about edge sharpness and chromatic aberration.
A breath of fresh air

Thank you! Glad you are enjoying.. We can only hope! Although we love making them either way :)
I presume that when the policemen asked you what you were doing you replied 'Im here to shoot Tony Blair'?
Haha that might not have gone down well!
😂😂

Maybe you can share the image release you use for your woks?
the one the celebrities sing?
Will speak to Harry!
I, too have photographed lots of prime ministers, though, to tell the truth I was not invited. They never even knew I was there, till the photos hit social media,
haha!
Did you keep your copyright this time round..?
Yep, Harry did. They didn't even try to get Harry to sign it away!
Gosh -- there are a lot of people who would like to be able to say that they shot Tony Blair.
My film recommendation is Polanski's 'Ghost Writer'.
Yes, must watch that again.
Yes you are a great storyteller not withstanding your photographs
Thank you! Means a lot
Sorry, but the only photo I want to see of Blair is when his in his box!
What a horrible thing to say about anybody 😡
@eltinjones4542 His a money grabbing war criminal!
@@eltinjones4542Putin
Documenting a photoshoot with someone as unpopular as Blair for views. Good grief.
You should try watching the video. It might not be what you think? It's 4 shoots over more than a decade. Maybe embrace complexity? 🙏

@@fredandharryborden So because life isn’t a bed of roses we’ll let the genocides continue then Harry. 👍😎
