"To her credit, mahirah khan changed her expression for the role, she changed her smile" - Aamna. Another problem with the industry and reason why we're static is because we go above and beyond appreciating the BARE MINIMUM out of these celebrities that have become mega superstars because of their stardom more than their skill.
Aamna, I respect you as a person but as a critic I wish you reflect on your unrecognised and probably conditioned bias towards actors that you are naturally an admirer of.
Mahirah Khan was replacable in the role.
Kudos to hassan for not letting anything overshadow his genuine critique of the viewing experience.

Hasan, bekar ki behais na karein Amna se. She is right again. This was a Fahad Mustafa’s film but Mahira added oomph, glamour, beauty & good acting to it. Since there is so much comparison going on take the example of Sonakshi Sinha( even though she has not gotten much success). She played a minuscule role in Chulbul pandey movie but her lines Thapar se dar nahee lagta…. is still being used.
In Ek thi nigar we were more sad about her husband’s death because it was played by Bilal Ashraf.
Sometimes, small but significant roles can catapult a movie or a career. Nawazuddin got noticed in his one scene role in Munna Bhai MBBS.
Amitabh Bachan has given so many cameos in movies. Lot of people went and saw those movies only because he was in it. It helped launched so many careers.

I think you guys should have a more neutral critic to review the movies for your channel.
Hasan’s bias towards LNJ cause of his old ties with Humayun and Amna’s bias for QAZ cause she moderated its promotion event makes the review lose its authenticity.
It’s actually quite sad to see them defend horrible aspects of these movies.
Hope you take the feedback well.

Loved the film, watched it today, I am a bigger Fahad Mustafa fan now. This man is truly a hero🔥 loved his and Mahira chemistry even though they weren't showed alot but loved it. Comedy element was class 💕, Javed Sheikh is definitely one of the USP's of this film, his comic timing and acting ❤️❤️, amazing comedy, action is 🔥🔥, Music is beautiful and Fahad Mustafa is the best thing of this film❤️🔥❤️🔥💕🔥, His performance and acting is also a big selling point 💯.
Film was sooooo good that we didn't even noticed the time.💖💖

I have been watching Hassan & Amna's reviews since close to 3 years now and posting this as my first comment. as
@Hassan & Amna:- Both of you have done a tremendous job making this "Something Haute" to a next level. Not only has this helped Pakistani Entertainment content to reach to us Pakistanis but globally as well. Appreciate your work and hope long it may continue.
Now over to my comments over the two reviews you guys did on LNJ and QAZ. Though both movies had pros and cons. But IMHO - QAZ as a wholesome entertainer was miles ahead that LNJ.
Taking nothing away from the both directors - both did wonderful job. However story and screenplay both were stronger of QAZ compared to LNJ.
Also one constructive criticism for Hassan that I felt him to be biased towards LNJ. Though I personally agree one can have likeness of one movie over the other - but felt in both reviews Hassan slightly biased which usually I haven't found him to be - (HS biasness perhaps 😂)
Secondly - guys a bit shorter in length movie reviews will definitely add more spice to your reviews

My only issue with the story was that quaid e azam was over glorified. Allah is watching over us not Quiad..and this thing shd have been clarified! So disagree with Hassan on so many points here! First, on MK. Also a fan but I would pick Mehwish Hayat over her any day - yet I was so annoyed by MH (couldn’t relate to her as a strong woman) but Mahira here was so dabang. I felt for the first time she acted ‘Khul ker’ and even danced khul ker. Loved her here - and felt this was her strongest movie to date (even when this wasn’t her movie, and I’ve seen 99% of her movies). Next, the twist at intermission was mind blowing and so intelligent - we were amazed at the writer’s creativity (we are script writers & have studied filmmaking from Toronto). This is what connected us instantly to the opening credits from the directors “A story we wished was true but isn’t”. You can’t get more powerful messaging across through such an intelligent and humorous plot on an otherwise unfortunate, rather sad reality, that our country suffers from. And lastly, the movie definitely picked up after the internal - it could’ve easily been cut by 20mins during the first half. And it was faaaar from a David Dhawan movie - this was relevant and intelligent humour through and through. Also, this is how you promote feminism and show strong female characters - not by writing forced, in your face dialogues (read LNJ) in the name of progressive cinema

      And loved mahiras character
For once she wasn’t crying but was having fun looking lovely and was no bimbo like the usual characters in a hero dominated movie
Also thoroughly enjoyed the Javed shaykh Fahad angle
A heroine is not a strong woman only if she is loud rude almost man like and wearing the tightest old fashioned jeans
      (MEHWISH HAYAT TAKE NOTE PLS)

I'd love to agree with aamna here because using fantasy in QAZ is an intelligent way of writing, which very merely found in our movies to the point where it either does not even exist or if it does then it is not used well, here the writers as well as directors were brilliant loved how they kept the viewers attention through out and at the same time some of the audience like Hassan could have a harder time grasping such themes but it totally attracts alot more people with its newer concepts, this said I watched the movie 2 days ago and the cinema was still Housefull which is a proof of the success of this movie's ideation.

The scene shot inside Quaid’s Mazar is probably the best one ever inside the Mazar for any drama or film. It was so powerful and heart wrenching and funny too. Adorable songs fresh humour variety of animals shown with Jiya, so delightful. Beautiful Karachi landmarks used as backdrops for regular scenes so clever. The finale with the awaam was such a tear jerker! Agree with Amna definitely a 4 star and worthy of being watched again!!

There was no toofan,Qavi Saab's character was adjusting the frame and it falls and then he see's the money. Toofan happens later when he faces Gulaab about the money. What impressed me was the opening fight sequence that was so lit, movie as a whole was good and i agree, Mahira was wasted in this movie ngl.

Hassan I respect you that you are Mahira Khan’s fan but sorry to say when I watched superstar it was such a disappointing character . She was shown as a androon Lahore girl . Such a clear urdu and suddenly she changes to groomed superstar . She is pretty and carry herself beautifully but no versatility .

    Disappointed with the Movie 🎥
1- How did the Quid e Azam picture disappear? ; / Didn't knew it's not reality based .
2- One of the worst scene was how Fahad Mustafa ripped off the police clothing being a hypocrite as if he has been good all his life.
3 -Mahira Khan didn't fit for the role .( I'm MK fan ) should have casted someone else .
The only thing I liked was Fahad Mustafa's acting and Javed shiekh's Character/ getup

i loved quaid-e-azam zindabad so much!!! matlab i thought it was incredibly well done. the humour never missed for me, the visuals were fantastic, and i, a self-proclaimed fahad mustafa skeptic LOVED our hero. the social commentary, while being a bit unsubtle at times, was relevant and had a lot of depth and nuance. the action scenes were amazing. one thing that i noticed was that it tended to be over the top in moments that totally justified the campy over the top-edness. but in the more emotional moments, it shed the campiness and committed to the emotionality with a sincerity that was commendable. i would go so far as to say that i would consider this like...a high camp socialist film. truly something fresh and innovative that i really enjoyed. and i’m not a huge mahira or fahad fan so in a way i was coming into the film like chalo dekheinge. one of the only complaints i have is mahira’s character. first off, what is her point? like bas issiliye dala hai ke humaray hero ko love interest chahiye toh yeh larki daal do aur ussay completely irrelevant b plot dedo joke third act ke initial part pe khatam ho jaye aur bas hum ussay bhool jayein. like, yes, i appreciated the animal rights awareness commentary, but taking it out of the film would have been...fine. like, koi faraq na parta. in fact i think the film would have been better for it. anyway, the entire third act i was thinking ke bhai this film is so relevant, considering our economic situation and the state of institutional corruption in our country. that series of shots where the money is falling down and into the hands of the aam awaam...i couldn’t help but be like KAASH YAAR...which is what films, at the end of the day, are for. they’re supposed to enrich our lives and help distract us from how shitty life can be, whilst also shedding light on the problems that we have and the flaws we have to eradicate. reinvigorated my hope for pakistani cinema. iA there’ll be many more amazing films.
