This helped a lot thanks! Exactly the type of SUV the ex has and yeah I’m not impressed with this vehicle-she bought it new with like 8k miles and the thermostat broke down at around the same mileage 89 thousand miles! I also hate that they put the battery in the wheel well, not the small trunk space that doesn’t even hold sh*t anyways or at least under the seat?!!
Okay thank you! I’m having the same issue you described in your video. Last year I had to get the water pump and the thermostat housing replaced but the mechanic didn’t replace the second thermostat.. So I’m thinking it needs to get replaced, would I have to remove the whole housing to replace it?
@@akirabenitez2078 what I replaced I didn’t remove anything but the air intake box and upper hose. The whole housing would be same way other than a couple more screw and 2 small hoses
My girl had the plastic connection break that feeds the heat core. And blew fluid all over. I had to bypass the heater core due to no one having parts. Since then it will run warm when parked, then driving it goes back down to around 216-218, sometimes around 220. But today it wanted to run around 226-231 while driving . When stopped it went up to like 245. I’m thinking it’s my thermostat also but how do I know for sure.
@@mightyprophet4581 someone at my work told me since I live in SC I can take the thermostat out and replace it later? You think I should change it out?
@@mightyprophet4581 I’m at work, thinking about removing it before I leave in the morning, then replacing it later tomorrow when I get home and can get to autozone or wherever
The issue was a blow radiator fuse that cost $4.
My fan was not kicking on due to that. I Spent $23 total.

Am not even shocked lol
And true you can actually relocate the battery if you wanted to not a hard job at all. Just not worth the time 😅
I hate this car so much
@NoteznationTv 😅 just the dash/center console for me.
Pretty reliable though thou.
@@mightyprophet4581 its the coolant issues for me. Plus that ugly dash 🤣
