I have heard quite many performances of Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 25 , including all those found in TH-cam, and have never felt satisfied. All of them failed to meet what I would say - "Mozart's standard" at all - falling far behind, indeed. I knew that and I have waited decades of time for real Mozart's No. 25 to occur. Now like great music magicians, Ms. Sa Chen and the conductor of the chamber orchestra have brought the real, great Mozart to the world. Deeply moved. This happens only once in a century! Bravo!
I totally disagree. I regard the following performances as attractive as Sa Chen's: Piano Concerto No. 21 by Yeol Eum Son (and the conductor too), No. 27 by Maria Joao Pires in Sion Festival 2011 (and the American Jananese conductor too), and No. 12 by Anna Fedorova. They are the best because no one else played No. 25, 21, 27 and 12 respectively as well as they.

Non è certo una passionale Chen, ma di una precisione assoluta; forse troppo controllata, trattenuta dovrebbe un poco lasciarsi andare ed emozionarsi se vuole emozionare...
