Wow! I already liked Sa Chen, but this has exceeded my expectations.

Not the best, several clinkers. But give him some slack, there was that B roll cameras that look to come really close that I know distracted Yundi. At that point I think his timing was off. Perhaps to compensate, he went fast and some passages were blurred. Probably thinking, "I want to out of here". Also the piano is not well regulated, some of the keys were way hot.

Although very different player as his well-known fellow school mates Lang Lang and Yuja Wang, Haochen is definitely a truly gifted player should be heard. Really wish he can be more successful commercially.

Haochen Zhang and the orchestra playing as one - beautiful performance from all.... All of Beethoven's Piano Concertos are so wonderful to listen too...

Leichte wie zurückhaltende Kontur, dennoch dichte Fügung und brillanter Fluss ... Mir persönlich tut das gut. Da weiß mann, dass die Piano-Welt ab und zu ein wenig von dem LL-Wahnsinn distanziert sein muss.

Control of sound and phrasing is so precise and at the same time so emotional ... who is still pretending that asian musicians lack of "musicality" ???? Thank you, Asia, for your insightful musicians :)

Ho sentito ancora ieri sera Sa Chen al Conservatorio di Milano e a me è piaciuta moltissimo. Il pubblico in generale non ha gradito la sua esecuzione di alcuni Notturni di Chopin. Non è certo una passionale Chen, ma di una precisione assoluta; forse troppo controllata, trattenuta dovrebbe un poco lasciarsi andare ed emozionarsi se vuole emozionare...

Not the best performance, some mistakes too, especially in the second movement but lovely anyway.
