The attack on the first musical phrase said everything - first the strings, then the initial phrase on the piano. It told me these musicians are extraordinary, and I'd never heard of any of them. The pianist is a true Mozart pianist - both touch and phrasing. He makes the piano sing, not easy. Even in his darkest, most pain filled music, Mozart retains radiance of the heart - the kind of music that can save a life from despair.
It's nice when, despite all their ability, you can still read the joy of the musicians on their faces.
Beethoven: the life should be corrected; Chopin: the life should be poemized; Mozart: C'est la vie, enjoy it and improve it if possible! Three precious musicians whom God gives us!

Fabulous. In addition to the virtuosic playing, I like the way they don't rush in the allegros, and especially love their slow-walk in the andante, bringing out all the pathos in the music. One doesn't often hear such well-judged tempi in this piece these days. I think they are spot-on. The subtle dynamic shading, and exquisite phrase-shaping, by the pianist was a special delight throughout. A youtube "favorite" if I ever saw one.
The music, the bodily movements, the small grins of enjoyment. This shows Mozart's music is truly beautiful and underrated.

I think the comment is related to how some dismiss Mozart as just being pleasant which I know his music is so much more.

A beautiful and moving performance ----- especially as they are listening to each other ---------- as a keyboard fan - the pianist was so hugely impressive and he makes it look so easy !!!! ---- even the great Hungarian conductor Georg Solti as pianist admitted when he tackled this piece , he had to practise intensely ------- the only other impressive performance I can recall was with Benjamin Britten with one of the leading quartets of the day in the late 60 s ---- just glorious this team

@@Alix777. Thanks - I've mentioned recently that I had begun using the Opera browser, although for different reasons; & it seems to block classical music ads. Cosmic gift, so to speak. Also found "free" ad blockers inconsistent; &, once again, the small cost of upgrades is not the issue, it's being pressured in obnoxious ways ("push marketing") to buy or do whatever. Any small step toward resisting corporate &/or political pressure to conform obediently to whatever suits them imho is positive, nowadays. Just a thought... &, oh, yes: Fan Tutte, no? :)

Nope. Nothing quite as wonderful. I miss this - chamber music was one of my foci in grad school, and I was the lucky pianist that got to play this with a really fabulous string trio in my second year. I hoped to reprise it for my last recital, but they couldn't all do it :'(. Someday I want to play it again though!!

Ads are the entire basis of their business model. Why would they?
the truth is there is no Philistine choosing which moments to interrupt with ads. It's just the choice of the channel owner to allow ads which are inserted automatically. I use AdBlockPlus and so should all music lovers.
