  • In this video I’m going to show you the easiest way to animate physics in After Effects.
This is something I get students to do when I’m teaching them the 12 principles of animation, as it involves studying physics but y’know, in a FUN way.
I’ve seen students who were struggling to brings things to life become more motivated and engaged doing this, and it’s such a simple thing which can be overlooked in motion design.
Fully expecting pushback on this but I will absolutely go to bat for this.
Actually, do we “go to bat” for things in the UK? Hmmm. Might need to get back to you on that ….

Preach, more motion designers need to get into using video reference. I did some 2D and 3D animation classes before getting into motion and learned almost all the pros in those fields use video reference religiously.

I love hearing about the process of other motion designers, particularly when they're coming from different creative backgrounds. YOU should be talking about this stuff, not me (I'll subscribe as soon as you start doing tutorials)

Lol and the poor doggo is like „maaaan, why does HE get to play with the ball!?!!1!“ 😹

I edited around playing ball with her. But you're right, it totally looks like I spend all my time torturing her by making her sit while I play 😂

Can't the lite version of cinema 4 be used for some part of this? At least for accurate physics.

I've used dynamics in C4D for certain projects and yes of course you're right. The point of this is the process of recording and using / studying reference is more engaging and you learn as you do so. There's always more than one way to skin a cat (I'm NOT suggesting that as video reference btw)

@@TheVideoShopLondon Yes sir, I understand the whole way of using real life as refrence (just as Disney did for their early animations). Let me ask my question this way: If you were to spent 8 hours in C4D and 8 hours using refrence footage, which way would result in - A-Time saved, B-Accurate result per time spent, C-Ease of modifing the scenary. Thanks for your time, I merely asking this to spike a conversation :)

hello sir could you make a video on 3d cameras please

@@sunileditsofficialthere are so many tutorials out there covering magnate media edit. This channel is about mograph and what you're asking for is video editing so yeah different niche. But again it's not difficult to create that edit. You already know what you have to learn i.e 3D camera. I would watch 4-5 tutorials on it and practice practice practice. One you get comfortable you'll be amazed by knowing how easy it actually is. It just takes time.

The reality is not always beautiful and better. As an artist, you should inspire from it and try to make it more aesthetic.
