    People are really weird. If she wants to have this done and pay for it then she can. It doesn’t mean it’s a scam or not worth it. It’s not worth it to YOU, but that doesn’t matter because you’re not the one getting it. And I’m sure she knows that she could do other things like twist outs and braid outs. Telling her that isn’t going to make her stop wanting this process done. Y’all need to learn how to respect people’s choices just like you want people to respect others going natural. The ignorance 🤦🏾‍♀️

    • @AuroraReussi
      @AuroraReussi 4 ปีที่แล้ว +21

      But she CHOSE to put this on the largest video platform(TH-cam), hence leaving her decision, the process and turnout open for critique and further discussion. Let's learn to differentiate insults from opinions...

    • @sylmarie
      @sylmarie 4 ปีที่แล้ว +68

      Aurora Jennifer An opinion can also be an insult. I am speaking about the people who are clearly being rude in the comments to both her and the stylist. If you disagree that’s fine, however, I stand by what I said. She left it open to criticism, but that doesn’t mean they can’t be criticized as well.

    • @AuroraReussi
      @AuroraReussi 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sylmarie I understand you totally... And was also speaking generally. This comes with the territory I guess, like I said for choosing to upload a video. Wish she wasn't insulted though, it is HER choice. But there are also people who respected her choice whilst criticising her, I'm talking about those people, cause it seems these days, these so much political correctness and snowflaking that every criticism whether positive or negative is seen as an insult...

    • @sylmarie
      @sylmarie 4 ปีที่แล้ว +25

      Aurora Jennifer I can understand why political correctness and snowflaking have gotten to a certain point now. Things on the internet can be taken in a lot of ways considering you can’t show your tone while typing a comment. Especially considering how people tend to be passive aggressive and try to pass it off as nice.

    This no doubt took hours to do hence the price. Some people dont understand that when you pay a stylist you are paying for the time you sat in the chair and the experience. Stylist pay alot of money to be able to correctly do a service to them and to make the client happy. I am a stylist but when I go get my hair done i do not question the amount of money i am paying especially if they are doing a fantastic job. Your hair looks amazing!

    I think this is ok for someone who’s hair takes super long to maintain and is putting a strain on their daily life..the price is really saddening tho, I will say that. But at the same time frontal weaves can cost around the same and they only last 2 weeks, so to each it’s own. I will do everything in my power to manage my hair when I start wearing it out, but if it is too much for me to handle I will be saving myself the stress and time, as well. Nothing wrong with choosing yourself, over your hair.

      How are you going to say "$750 for this" as if the product/and application isn't worth it and then turn around and ask why she isn't training other stylists to do it? So is it worth it or nah? If it's not worth it as you initially suggest, then why ask later why she isn't training other stylists? That's like someone trashing a restaurant then turning around and asking why they aren't training other chefs, etc--but YOU just said they were trash--which one is it?🤔😂🤣😂

Just a different name and alot more expensive. i actually saw someone get a Ginacurl and its actually a curl. Just because someone takes a product and change the name doesnt mean that it still isnt the same product its just a different name..lol. I just wish she would give credit to the actual people who came up with the original curl and let it be known that she got this style from the old school hair stylist...

A lot of times when clients don't send me photos of their hair blown out and I can't see a complete photo of length, I will quote higher. There have been times when I quote clients with only one strand stretched out and when they come in, their hair is so much longer than expected. so please email me your consultation again and be sure you attach a photo of your hair blown out. remind me that i replied to your comment on Titilavish video.

There's a few motels around but for nicer hotels you'll want to stay in New Haven, which is only like 20 min away. Some parts of new haven can be sketchy, but nowhere that you'll be going on purpose anyway lol. All the nice hotels are in good areas, mostly near downtown where all the college students are.

    $750-$1000 seems like a lot of money for a perm but when you consider all the money the average black woman spends getting braids and wigs it’s affordable. As someone with PLENTIFUL and THICK long 4b/4c hair, I get those protective styles done just to get a break from my hair. I love keeping my hair healthy but the time it takes can be exhausting, and restrictive. I’ve literally missed out in plans with friends to do my hair. I would love to afford a Gina Curl one day and live a better life.

    • @ceeloqueen675
      @ceeloqueen675 4 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      it's NOT affordable lol. It may seem that way but it's actually not. Even if you did Gina Curl twice in a year (retouch) that would run you 1500-2000 dollars.
      An average black woman doesn't spend that much on their natural hair annually...regardless of how much they get their hair braided or wigs. Investing in a good quality wig (300$-600$) would last you a good 5+ years. I have wigs that cost me 150 to make that I've had for 3 years and it's still fantastic.
      Also getting braids like box braids lasting 1-3 months costing 100-250 dollars isn't bad compared to this..even if they braided their hair 4 times within the year its still more cost effective than GinaCurl, BUT if you still think it's worth it than go ahead girl

      GinaCurl is not at all like the old perms in the past. Back in the day when I started out, I did the original jeri curl and when wave nouveau and carefree and all the others came out I refused to do them because I knew they were double process perms. I continued to use the original one and when that was discontinued I formulated my own. The problem with all of the old perms including mine was that we could not protect the hair that was previously processed so the ends were being processed every time you came in for a retouch. With the GinaCurl we are able to protect the ends, no chemical other than the neutralizer goes on the rods. It doesn't irritate or burn, there is never over-processing and you don't have to wait days adding product over the product before it comes out looking good. It is a wash and go. We do not recommend it on hair with 20 volume peroxide or higher and it cannot be done over a relaxer or a texturizer. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to call us. 203 466 1246

      @@RaiinbowBarf I've actually done both types of curls. They are different products. I can tell you that one major difference is that the Gina Curl does not require any of the activator sprays to stay moist. There is also no shedding with the Gina Curl. I have had the Wave Nouveau, and Wave by Design but they made my hair thin a bit more than I liked and they cause more shedding. Also, the pH is higher on these as opposed to the Gina Curl. If you don't want to spend this type of money on your hair that's okay, but obviously this has worked well for the young lady and SHE likes her hair.

    • @RaiinbowBarf

      @@perfectkarma1209 okay, lets just get back to the case and point. her hair is chemically processed to achieve something different wether it be a relaxer a jherri or a "gina" curl. its not what's naturally growing OUT of her head thats what i mean. she'll always have to pay (that clearly outrageous price) and get it done if she wants to keep up with it, and it is more SUSCEPTIBLE to breakage due to the process.
      I just don't see the point personally. Never said anything was wrong with her liking it and spending her money to do what she wants with her hair. What's that have to do with me? Absolutely nothing. I was just pointing out a fact. They are all basically the same thing. Chemicals that break down your hair to achieve another look/texture/pattern and make hair more PRONE to breakage and loss. The end. lol

      Stephanie Coachman how long can you leave a relaxer on your hair before your hair melts off? How long can you leave the chemical rearranger on the hair when doing the other curls? Do you know the answer?
      With the GINACURL we can take up to 1 1/2 hours to apply the chemical . Which means that when you come back for a retouch we have time to protect the ends with a special protection cream that we use. Once you are processed, that’s it with chemical! we wash , condition and rod set with no chemical. The other perms apply chemical to the perm rods , we don’t! So with Gina’s technique the ends are never ever being compromised over and over again. So many woman comment on Gina being white, yes she is white but Gina has been servicing Black woman for over 40 years. Don’t you think she knows how you guys feel about a white woman profiting a chemical to natural block woman! She has been doing this for a very long time if she didn’t think she had something that was golden she wouldn’t promote it.
