  • First and foremost, when you decide to get a perm, you should prepare to be at the salon for at least two and a half hours. After you get a perm, how long it lasts depends mainly on how long your hair is. For short, often-cut hair, they can last at least three to four months. The roots drop on the head and then they just have the wave at the ends. That can last from six months to eight months.
Today, Guys, Rita from All Hair And Beauty Salon and www.allhairandbeauty.com is back with another hair tutorial and in this video, she is going to show us how to curly perm on afro hair! If you guys like this video HIT LIKE & SUBSCRIBE!!

I been doing this service for over thirty years . Started from when it first came out. I took classes for three days on this. First you never wash the hair first. I will irritate the scalp and there is three chemicals that have to go on the hair. I don’t know how long she left the neutralizer on but it should sit for twenty minutes. After the process you get as much water out as possible and use the wave nouveau finishing lotion starting on the scalp. If you don’t the scalp will start itching. You part the hair and apply just like greasing your scalp. Then massage it through the rest of the hair. You will do this everyday for the next three days, after you can do it every two days. There is no other product that takes the place this finishing lotion. It’s your magic for keeping your hair Healthy and shiny.

Thank you for the video. Can you please address the criticism thats floating around saying that upon retouching the new growth this perm damages the already treated hair? Many are flocking to the new Gina Curl because she’s saying that her process is healthier for Black hair than traditional curly perms. She’s charging people upwards of $1200 for this “new” curly perm process. I’m not convinced the information is accurate and it just seems like an existing process is getting put down just so money can be made on this quote new unquote process. I have yet to see a stylist really address it from a side by side perspective as I would like to get either a wave nouveau or design essentials curl reconstructor but would like to be confident that the already chemically treated hair isn’t being reprocessed over and over after each retouch which could lead to damage and breakage. Thank you! ♥️

As a child I was my moms model for everything(she was a stylist). I’ve had several curly perms and never had over processed hair. The process is the same. Your stylist is the one that will or will not pay attention to the line where the new growth stops. Your stylist should also let you know how to maintain your hair so that you can prolong the length of time between services. If I could manage it as a youngster, I’m sure you can manage as a grown woman. 👍🏽Save your money and find a good stylist to give you a body wave. 💚

Gina curl lady is just making money off of uniform black ppl. It’s the same cold wave perm. You touch up just like you do with a straight perm, only the new growth. I had it for years and never had any shedding. Just use the basic two products and you can’t go wrong.

I use luster and I love the way it loosens up my curls. I have coarse hair but it makes my hair look like I'm mixed with Puerto Rican or white or something I don't know why it tastes like that in my hair I just wanted to drop my hair I guess I'll leave it in a little too loan people ask me what I mixed with and I'll be like yeah I'm mixed with that texturizer... LOL but I know the miracle drops from the Bratz wife would definitely help the young lady that's getting her hair done with her edges

I wouldn't i would wait till you have at least 3-4 inches of hair but use small rods, although it will be more of a afro if you don't mind that it will look amazing. Although if you want length and wanna your hair hang a bit i would wait a until you have more hair
