1 MONTH UPDATED IS NOW POSTED
Thank you😊 I wanted to know how you handle the new growth. Like retouching
I’ve been studying the difference between these different perms curls and texturizers and I got a wave nouveau today I had been texturizer in my hair for the last five years or more I’ve been natural for the last 13 years
Can you post a 3 month update and talk about the new growth etc. please?
Your hair is so beautiful I love it ❤️🎀❤️
how long did the perming process take?
Some of the natural hair girls secretly do this. That’s all imma say
Facts
You right…
I believe it. Back in the day there were way more type 4 textures.

I love how the hairstylist explained everything thoroughly and was so patient and kind. She even took the camera to show us the back. 😂 Love her! She did an amazing job and your hair looks soooo good!!
Lol.. right I couldn't believe she touched that camera either, she's the co host of this TH-cam channel 🙃🙂
She still didn’t listen to the stylist though, she said 1-2wks was BEST to wait before 1st washing but people do it at day 3 and 4. She washed it on day 3.
we called this a jerri curl back in the day
@@mrose5877 thought it was a j curl. It looks great though
@@mrose5877 In the Caribbean (Jamaica) we still do😅.
Went to a salon I used the term "curly perm" n they were lost, after a while she understood what I meant😂
The stylist was so kind and soft spoken, love her energy! You can tell she knows what she's doing and loves teaching others too.
The way she educated you through the entire process and the amount of time and care she put into your hair was phenomenal! She is not a stylist, beautician or cosmetologist... she is a HAIR CARE PROFESSIONAL in trade and heart! She is amazing! 💚
Yeah that's an old school stylist. She did a really good job. I used to have a curly perm in the late 90s.
Same ( salt and pepper style and not the greying kind 🤣
Yes she's ole skool knows what she's doing. Im now back in a wave nouveau done by an ole skooler in Atlanta ga a week ago 5/12/24. My hair was beautifully done. I'm very happy. It makes your hair grow too.
It does smell but it went away. I will not wash until 2 weeks. I'll then treat it with a mayonnaise treatment
Your stylist was wonderful, such a professional and so full of knowledge. Your hair looks beautiful!
I remember back in the day when EVERYBODY used the Wave Neuvo or Hawaiian Silky. You did the right thing by going to an older stylist to get it done, they really know what they are doing. Although it’s too late now for you, but I was wondering if you ever had a smoothing treatment done? My friend gets her daughters done and it’s perfect for her super thick hair. The best thing is it eventually reverts back to its natural state. It loosens her curl pattern to make her hair manageable and soft. Then probably about 4-5 washings it reverts back to her natural state. I’m considering getting the treatment done to mine soon. Yours came out so beautifully. 😍
do you know what the smoothing treatment is called? I have 4B/C hair that only got to my tailbone by low manipulation for 5 years, but it's SO thick i just keep it put up. keep fantasizing about perming it but know id regret it....
@@RubeeRoja She said it’s an Amino-Acid Smoothing treatment, and that most hairstylist will know exactly what you’re talking about. I think I might get one as well. Thick hair is a gift and a curse. 🥴
@@Zariyah_Nicole it sure is! 😅🥴 thanks so much!!
I got one - although my hair type is fine/thin. It really cuts down time for washing, detangling and blowdry. I'd never think of getting a relaxer now!
@@SnowofLight Thanks for your comment. That’s making me want to get one even more. To hear two different opinions with opposite volumes of hair speak highly of the same thing. I’m sold.
i appreciate how detailed oriented & careful she is w/ the hair .. if i get this done , i want to go to HER!
Same!
Where is she located ?
She reminds me of an Aunt/family friend. I was thinking the same thing and then I noticed @13:38 and the slightly heavy- handed scalp “massage” and don’t want to relive that childhood trauma. I still want her to do it, I would ask if someone else could wash out my hair

Your hairstylist needs her own TH-cam channel. She was so thorough! Wonderful job ☺️
True!
Please where is her shop
Love her!!! Her voice is so soothing.
I was thinking the same.
Not really. This does nothing but damage hair. We all know what Gerry curls did to people. This is nothing different.
It came out beautiful, my mom is a beautician and she’s old school this is all she did was jerry curls growing up I was surprised she didn’t use the white papers while rodding the hair. It looks very nice and whatever it takes for you to be happy with your hair it’s 2022 I say do it!
Ya she said in the video that she chooses not to use the white paper for longer hair length
And with the beauty of her face, ugh it’s very pretty 🤩
She was supposed to use the white papers. It stops the ends from frizzing later on. She also was supposed to use a tip bottle to saturate each roller after she squeezed the water out.
I had a coworker that would sing 100% natural, year passed we became close bonded over appreciation of our different curls and art. Her hair leans more to 4a/4b, I am 4b/4c. One day my sister and I went for silk press. I see my coworker and she's getting the same process done. I was confused, but to each their own plus her hair stay on point.
Just read this comment after I posted mine. I thought this was a jerry curl! Nostalgia!
Your stylist is so sweet! She’s very knowledgeable as well. Your hair looks great!
This stylist reminds me of my favorite teacher from cosmetology school. Those old school stylists explain things so thoroughly and kindly. Watch her wrap your hair shows this lady has true experience and technique. Love her! Your hair turned out so beautifully!!
Girl it’s your hair do you, as long as you maintain your hair with the right products you will be fine, I think it’s too much pressure nowadays to be natural but people lack maintenance
They call it curly perm in Canada. In USA this is old school and is called a Jerry Curl or Wave Nouveau and was heavily worn in the 80s
Wave Nouveau was the brand they used
I forgot all about Wave Nouveau. The products.
It’s called a Gina Curl these days.
I used to get my hair done like this back in the day…lol.
Canadians called it a jherri curl too. I think they are just renaming the style, so it doesn't seem old school.
Just got my curl. My hair did nothing in its natural state even after buying thousands of dollars of products. Now my hair feels so light and soft. I will not go back unless it is scalp short. I was constantly in the mirror trying to please myself. Now I let the beautician take care of it.
It's nothing wrong with getting a curly perm honey especially if your a busy person and really don't have time to do your own hair. It's very pretty 💜💜💜💜💜
I just love this lady that did your hair! She embraced the camera too like “come, get a better look” lol… she was awesome!
It’s your hair & it’s JUST hair. It came out really great. Ik exactly how you feel when it comes to managing super curly, thick, long hair. And the lady was amazing, very thorough ❤️
Both of you are thinking far too deep into a simple sentence & making it political. I’m indigenous. I know the importance of hair, I’m not allowed to cut mine. She’s apologized and gave disclosures multiple times throughout the video in case of backlash or judgment for doing what SHE wants with HER hair. So let’s get political then. Society places a lot of standards on women of color, especially black women. Perming your hair is frowned upon these days. Big chopping or having a fade is seen as less attractive. So since 3 simple words were interpreted into something extra I’ll simply explain. It means exactly & only what I said. It’s just hair. If it becomes damaged or if she chooses to big chop again she can bc it’s her crown and it will grow back.
So no, I refuse to judge her for doing what she wants with her own hair. Short, long, permed, natural- her life her choice.

@Trinity M she literally wasn’t talking to or about you
@Trinity M Girl that's you! We over here doing us
This lady styling the hair is just great I love her she give out good tea ☕️ Thankyou girl
As a stylist her wrapping technique brought me sooooo much satisfaction. Your hair looks amazing 👏🏽 😍
Instead of it being called a wave nouveau, it's now called a curly perm :) I had this way back in day, the 80's. If you take care of this properly, your hair will grow longer because of the moisture. My hair is thick , course and long also. I didn't lose a strain of hair. It grew even more. To me, the old products are still the best.
Thank you I just told someone this 👏🏽
It's the same thing but a Milder Formula.
Can you advise us how you took care of it properly?
@@cthompson000 The best person to ask is a licensed stylist for product suggestions for maintenance. But I will say is use a moisture shampoo, wide tooth comb and a satin cap at night to keep your hair from drying and breaking. The key is to keep the wave nouveau moisturized and go to a professional for upkeep.
I absolutely LOVE your hair! I’ve been a natural girl several years now. I wouldn’t mind getting a “curl” as we used to call it back in the day… It is nostalgic but it is so timeless the way that you are wearing it! Thanks for sharing…
She did a wonderful job and explained the process in detail. Your hair looks beautiful.
Gina Curl trying to play like she is the original! And her process is different! Please! She charging 700 bucks and plus. And here we have a experienced beautician who even said get someone who is "old school". She is mostly speaking about the health and preservation of this young lady hair.
That's what I'm talking about! Wave Nouveau and Jerry Curl is from the 80's. I always prefer old school beautician to cut and color my hair. Don't sleep on them. Almost all of the hair horror stories are from these young IG girls who could care less and just about the coin.
Is this not a Gina curl that she got?
@@rosepetals6895 no it's not.
@@nottodaylilbaldhead i gues what she got is actually better because she said she can straighten it after some time. I heard you can’t use a hot comb on gina curl
I got the Gina curl 4xs and it's the exact process except they put you under the dryer to set the perm. They are very secretive of the products they use. Products appear in unlabeled containers. Same outcome, growth but gina changes $550 minimum and up.
FYI I don't recommend the Gina curl for thin or low porosity hair because the "touch ups" includes placing the Thio-based cream on the entire hair which ends up thinning the hair, increase shedding (not from roots just weaker strands) and your curl will never be the same pattern as your 1st one.
Don't believe all the Gina curl TH-cam sponsors
@@nicolabrown2766 oh wow really?….i was really considering getting a gina….
I'm compelled to make an appointment with this woman. Such talented gentle hands and she explained it all! And took her time.
Everything you said in the beginning is literally me. I have 4b/4c hair and last year I went to the doctor with pain in my wrist after a wash day and was told i have carpal tunnel. Washing and combing my hair hurts my hands so much and whenever i tell people this and say I want to get a relaxer they tell me I'm quitting or being lazy. Like I want to tell them to come live with my hair for a year and see how they feel. I love my hair but it is not easy to manage.
Nah, do what you gotta do. I've always wondered how ppl will be natural when they get older. Carpal tunnel is a normal thing that can occur at any age but what about when we all turn 80. Will we all have time to comb our hair for 2 hrs?
Please purchase an EZ Brush, and before you wash your hair put Aloe Vera and coconut oil in your hair.
You just need to find an easier hair routine and products. Type four hair IS easy to manage if you know what you’re doing
be in my hair for a year and see how easy you think it is. I have 3c hair btw
@@pink1237480 then you need to find an easier hair routine and maybe use different products. Natural hair is only hard if you don’t know anything about it or don’t know what you’re doing
This lady is a wonderful teacher 🌻♥️ bless her heart & her hands
What I like the most was your stylist explaining every details.
It turned it amazing! I feel like curly perm is best on thick hair. It would look too sparse on thin hair. It looks so nice on you 😍🥰😍
I’ve thought about getting one of these, but I’m so nervous. One girl was telling her story about how her hair just started snapping off at the perm line one day. I would be devastated 😩
this is true
Yup it happened to me. Better to just relax it
Yea I see that happen a lot with people who get these. It gets really crispy lol the way it looks the day of the process only last the first week
Yeah my hair is 4a/b it's thick but fine. I'm nervous it'll break off as well
Lol poor girl. She was uneducated about curly perm maintenance. My mom's curly perm is to her but crack.
Love me a old school stylist! Knowledge & Customer service is unmatched. If you see them marcel irons you know you getting taken care of of
SHE LOOKS LIKE LYNN WHITFIELD!! like no joke that's crazy.
Day 2 looks cute but trust me when I say you wanna use the lotion every single day. Every single day. Avoid the breakage in the future by using the lotion every single day. ❤
Lol sounds like a line from Silence of the Lambs 😆 USE THE LOTION every day💀!!
I’m sorry
Red Dragon!
I feel you, but not necessarily! The moisturizing spray should be used daily! The lotion or curl activator doesn't have to be, but does need to be used for conditioning and to make the curls pop!
@@c.williams3480 ahhh
Her hair! Her choice! Hopes she takes care with the home maintenance products! I used to see lots of oily aftercare and acne, on wearers of jheri curls, back in the day! Hopefully aftercare technology has come a long way to prevent this occurring. 🙏🏾
I feel like the reason some perm is to aim for a hair texture the person finds more appealing to them. Although they should understand that your hair texture you have originally is fine too. There’s nothing wrong with the hair texture you once had. You just need to learn to take care of it. This goes for any hair type. 2,3,&4. Your hair is beautiful regardless what you do just learn to accept your hair type without comparing to othets
These comments are very interesting , but I will say thank you for this video. I just cut off my locs and I currently have a twa that is very hard to manage and “wash and gos” are not that simple for me. I say I’m a 4E as in Extra hard to manage because not only is my hair thick, but I happen to have the most tightly wound spiral 🌀 curl and tbh it’s beautiful and maddening at the same darn time. 🤦🏽♀️
When you’re building a business, a single mother, and pursuing other endeavors in life, sometimes you need a life hack. So people can say what they want, but 4c girls have to do wayyyyy more to maintain moisture and get the look they desire. Some of us are too busy for it, so we opt out and it is what it is. This video may have saved my hair because I am 2 seconds from getting a relaxer. So again thanks for unapologetically exposing your true curl pattern and transformation.
@BreeYah I’m extremely tender headed. I can only do braids for so long and that’s also one of the many reasons I gave up on locs. Too much tension during the re-twist process. I cut my hair about every 2.5 years or so anyway… not on purpose, but I’m noticing a trend. 😆 Thankfully it grows right back, so anything I do is probably temporary anyway.
I had this back in the mid 2000s and my hair was BOMB! This video makes me want to get it done again
Is this permanent?
How long does it last? I’m considering doing this because I have been growing my hair out but I’m kind of too used to the texture that I have and I want to try something different but I also don’t want to straighten my hair lol
@@jakiemiabayer7529 its permanent
Is it damaging?
@@sweetzs100 I’ve seen from other comments unfortunately it is of you don’t maintain it, you will def have to do a big chop if you don’t keep up.
She did a great job. Her back must hurt doing this as long as she has been doing it.
What's funny is I've watched so many pin straight hair girlies get curly perms and everyone is like 'oh so cute' or whatever. As soon as a type 4 does the same it's rampant controversy. And I get it; hair is a big part of our culture and and big part of how people perceive us and how we perceive others but I'd really wish we could all just do whatever with our natural hair and ppl just go 'oh, that's nice' or 'not a fan but you do you!' And just call it a day honestly. Because, it really is JUST hair for most of us.
I use to rock a wave nouveau back in the day. It really grows your hair if you keep up with the maintenance.
Definitely keep us updated on this too! I want to see how you like it further down the line. It looks so good😍
I hope she does! I’m natural and HATE dealing with my hair so I always wear wigs. This video has me seriously considering trying the curly perm
Got me over here thinking about my jheri curl days I'll say this it's when my hair was the healthiest and was easy to maintain. That's that neutralizer smell it'll go away I love it
gurl, yes, carefree curl with gel activator...lol, used cream mainly, so that it was natural feeling...omg, didn't it seem that the hair became juicy in the plastic cap...lol
Some of y'all don't understand that not everybody does this because they don't like their hair texture or want to be "exotic." People do it because not all of us are able to manage type 4 hair. Some people want to be natural, but being natural is high maintenance. Not everybody has the time, patience, or energy to deal with it. For some it's just easier. But there is no point in letting what somebody does to THEIR hair bother you. It's not your hair, so so what she loosened her texture. It's her hair. You do to your hair what you want and she does what she wants to hers. Simple. Y'all too deep into everybody else's hair business except your own.
lame played out excuse fr💀 it not at all THAT hard to manage to excuse changing your whole texture to seem more desirable and acceptable lmao
You know what, I was JUST trying to brush my hair thinking it's soooo challenging to do with my fragile wrists, so it's partly brushed through and all back in a bundle. Then your video comes up! This looks beautiful and doesn't look damaged; anddd must be so much easier to manage.
I had this in high school and babeeeee your hair will grow!!!!!!!
It looks so good! My friend did this years ago but it was too much work for her & caused damage so she ended up doing the big chop again so I decided to leave it alone, but love the way it looks!
Why was it too much work? I thought you just spray Soul Glo and go
@@ShelbySteele23 Not the soul glo 😂😂😂
@@ShelbySteele23 💀🤣🤣🤣
What made it too much work for your friend? Like maintaining it?
That's what happened to me. I couldn't afford to get my hair touched up and after my roots were thick and waving my permed hair wasn't strong and fell out. So i cut all my hair off.
Am I the only one who thinks the hair dresser is so talented, she knows what she is doing!!
You're curls are beautiful😍 It looks like a curly wig and that lip gloss is definitely poppin😍 Great video 😍
Nice! I’m feeling these results! I gave up relaxers back in 2008 because of the chemicals, so I probably won’t be trying this because of the chemicals, so I’ll just live vicariously thru other ppl’s vids! Ha! Thanks for sharing!
Baby girl, Wave Nouveau was a step up from a Jheri curl back in the day 80's, 😂 given the texture of ya hair you could of had a rod set with the same colors minus the six hrs of funk chemicals. Good luck bc people hair used to fall out later down the road ❤
You sound like a hater.
Love it! Jerry Curl is what we use to call it back in the day!
It looks nice. It’s better than getting a weave because she is saving money just using her natural hair. I still think either style natural/relaxed is a process. You just have to pick what you want to do.
I just saw a comment from A year ago that said this style is like everything else. Some ppl want to look more exotic and not realizing exotic isn’t just the hair or how it’s perceived.
We are beautiful each in our own way. Natural, Permed, Curly Permed, Braids or Locs.
I love it when we embrace ourselves who ever or whatever the style. ❤
I say let people do what they want. I’m a tender headed 4c and my scalp burns and I get headaches when I comb it if I don’t go through the all day process of deep conditioning during wash days. It eats product like a gremlin and I’m tired. If this doesn’t make me bald, I would try it. Idc who thinks what about me wanting curls. I would still rock it. Call me whatever, I’ll flip it in yall face as I walk by. 😂😂Yall over police Bw hair. Worry about sharing your man with your whole neighborhood. If I want curls I’m getting them! 😂 Thank you very much.
I don't see what you see, your natural hair is beautiful.
No I love my natural texture however I be late to work trying to stuff my hair in a bun like it’s hard to manage. Do what makes you happy and your life easier lol
The key is night prep. It makes combing and styling in the morning easier. If you go to sleep with hair all over your head it takes twice as long to get it how you want it. Detangle and put into 4-8 twist or braids. Cover with satin or silk scarf. See if that makes a difference.

I am a hair stylist. You'll have to do this several times a year, as your regrowth comes in. . It will be dry after the first shampoo so you will need that moisture cream along with the spray. I do agree that the stylist was very knowledgeable. Yes that is an old school jherri curl. The longer your hair is the longer it takes. No absolutely do not straighten your hair unless your goal is to damage it! Please don't.
This can the reversed as we called it back in the day! Just blowdry no flat iron!
@@c.williams3480 absolutely not🙅🏾♀️🙅🏾♀️🙅🏾♀️🙅🏾♀️🙅🏾♀️! It's a chemical process! You either cut it off or grow it out as you transition between the two different grades of hair. Following your instructions her hair will SURELY be damaged and break at the transition line.

She could definitely be an cosmetology instructor! Very informative and patient. Great job!
Wow she killed that. I hope it’s more manageable for you it looks really nice. The cosmetologist was really informative!
Those perm rods were so neat.
I love natural hair. Even when we need something to tame it down or just to get a different style and use products that define our curls a little more, there is nothing wrong with that. Do what you are comfortable with and what works to keep the hair looking and feeling healthy. As I have researched lightly some of the natural products for our hair I was surprised to find out that so many people with coarse curly hair or kinky hair that say they don't use any chemials to straighten their hair, actually do use products that have sodium hydroxide (lie) and formaldahyde, they just don't realize these chemicals are in some of the products they use. ( I think dmd hydantoin is a type of formaldehyde or very similar) Ogx is addressing dmd hydantoin chemicals in their products and supposed to be taking them out of some of their products. ) Lots of natural hair people use ogx. I have even seen some regular after shampoo conditioners listing sodium hydroxide on the content, maybe in small amount but still there. So, depending on how coarse the hair is, these products help tame the hair, and you don't even know they are in some of the products unless you look real close to the ingredients label.
Girl, I love your natural hair tho! I know a perm is easier but if you just learn how to take care of your natural hair with the right products and learn how to use them properly! You will forget all about the perm! I would recommend using Carol's Daughter for your hair! Or As I Am or Camile Rose!
It’s HER hair. Clearly this is what SHE wanted to do. How about you Love YOUR OWN natural hair and continue to style it the way YOU want.
@@beverlynoelle6941 There's no need to get aggressive! I'm not saying she can't get a curly perm I'm giving her a solution for her reason for getting it because I've had the same experience wanting to get a curly perm because I couldn't manage my hair! (And I can have an opinion because she post this on a social platform). But hey it’s her hair 🤷🏾♀️
yasmeen here we go with this tired conversation. Let black women do what they want with THEIR HAIR. Part of the beauty of being black is hair VERSATILITY. Wig, weave, natural, straight, curly, afro, perm, no perm. Stop policing black hair. Not everything is about self hate. Hair is a beautiful form of self expression. There are enough natural hair TH-camrs that if you don’t resonate with her anymore, find someone else you do. And the good thing is, she permed HER hair, not YOURS.
@@beverlynoelle6941 Let? She did what she wanted with her hair already. If she wanted to destroy her hair that’s her. But the words that came out of HER MOUTH was self hate. You can sugar coat it all you want and claim versatility. But truth is she hates her hair.
And I’m entitled to say what I want, why? Because she decided to turn her camera on berate the hair on a social platform. Get mad all you want, stay mad.

The way she explained her steps and process, I knew your perm was gonna come out bomb! And it did!!! She did amazing!
This lady knows what she is doing
So she got a Jheri curl? A damn curly perm…hilarious!
Honestly I never had a problem with detangling my hair after I learn how to take care of it. My hair is super thick and was just the state of hers when her hair was in one (ponytail) All I simply did was water in a spray bottle spray my hair and put leave in conditioner n curling cream and my hair was super soft and not stiff and easy to comb out. I'm telling you once you add water in your hair it makes life easier 🙂
I'm 4c and this is exactly how I feel! Also if you find a good dentangling conditioner or spritz, it helps so much
That’s a lot of work. When I was in my 20’s, I used to under process my hair & do a 5 minute relaxer that would loosen my curls a little, but take the frizz out when wearing it curly and it was less likely to revert when straightened or doing a rod set. The tricky part was the retouch.
“Detangling a mat” you had me until that negative connotation about black hair.
Black women, light and dark, (but, I think, especially light) prefer curls and waves as India arie said. It is a slave mentality, but it is what it is. I want some locs, because that's what my hair naturally does. So, imma go for it one day. 🤗
I kinda get what she means tho. My sisters and I all have 4c hair. Their hair is okay to manage etc but mine is so damn chunky and pretty long. I cry every time my mum combs through it so I get where she's coming from
Beautiful!!! Before I decided on getting sisterlocks so I could be natural still but not need to detangle and do anything to my hair, I thought about this but in the end this was a little bit more commitment than I wanted bc you have to get your new growth done every couple months and i’m lazy. But i’m glad you found something that works well for you.
Oh my! The Jeri Curl is back.
It’s hard to find stylists who provide this service.
Omg girl!! Love your hair and the stylist is great!! You're gorgeous!! Go on girl!!:)
I see gina name all up and threw these comments. This isn't a gina curl. Yes it's still a curly perm but those aren't her products or technique. Your hair still looks absolutely gorgeous. You should just tell people which curly perm you received.
Unfortunately, she’ll figure out it’s not a GinaCurl when she gets her retouch.😞
Oh my God to see this brings back so many memories of my time in the salon!!! The result is beauty-full!!!
I knew the stylist instantly my grandma goes to her 💗
A perm is a curl process vs RELAXERS which relax the cuticles
Thats so pretty no judgements zone here hun. Its your hair hun . But your hair is going to grcrw crazy fast and even more longer and beautiful. Beautifully done
She got a Jerry curl. Never thought these will come back
Sooooo....this is making a come back huh 😂. Not including the jerri curl... I remember people doing this (using wave nuevo) in the 90s.
ETA: Those old school hairdressers know how to put in a jerri curl and the wave nuevo...lol
I too went through this, 5yrs ago my hair super thick and because I started out as a “loose natural” but I had kinky curly hair no one knew. I mean combing my hair was so hard for me😩my hand would hurt, it was time consuming. So I did the exact same as you got a curly perm. After a year it didn’t work for me either. But remember.. do whatever works for you, that’s your crown. I grew it all out cut it off and now I’m 6mths loc & loving it. Your hair is beautiful I love 😍😍
Yes my hair is literally the same!! It’s so thick. The same texture. I just need relief😩
Beautiful before and after. That’s the new Wave Nouvo/ Jerry Curl.
The outcome is absolutely beautiful.
My hair is so heat damaged and i haven’t been able to retrieve even after giving up heat 🥺😢. I would love to have this done but where can I find such a knowledgeable stylist in NYC/NJ area 🤔 she was so cautious not to damage your hair 🤍
But are you gonna wear it out or is it really just so you can manage it because you mostly wear wigs
Back in the day we all used to get texturizer, curly perm, regular perm, body wave, dye our hair etc. and we had healthy long hair and did not loose our edges or ever wear wigs. This is our natural hair if it grows out our head, don’t matter what style we decide to wear… wear it well Queens ❤👸🏿👸🏾👸🏽
Love the stylist she definitely knew what she was doing.
LADIES , DONT.DO IT…❤ the upkeep and chemicals are not worth it. Also skip to the end…looks different dry vs wet (as pictured)
Can you go swimming with a curly perm?
Can I say I lovvvvvvvvvveeeee LOVEEEEEEhow this comment section is uplifting, cordial, lovely just ……forreal. I wasn’t expecting to find no negativity ❤ y’all amazing. But fr this look is stunning and your stylist is top tier
