I played Crysis 2 multiplayer I don’t even know how long ago. This is a huge step backwards from that. Star Marine convinces me that their networking has MUCH bigger issues than server meshing.
The engines been totally rewritten since then. How many NPCs and persistent physics objects were the Crysis 2 server handling? They certainly have a mess on their hands but the tech isn't plug and play like you imply.
@@vorpalrobot I’m not implying that at all. I’m saying what they’ve built is a regression from what this engine was 10 years ago. I’m specifically comparing the dogshit experience of Star Marine vs Crysis 2 multiplayer. Like for like size of maps, no NPCs, 12-16 players. My point is (since you apparently need it spoon fed) that server meshing isn’t going to fix how terrible this games networking feels if we’re in an environment that doesn’t need it.
@@Crittek I see your point. If star marine was the main product then I could see them needing to cut a lot of fat. It's built out of PU tech though, so the fact that the engine is being built to (attempt to) handle that large multiplayer sandbox, they probably couldn't cut star marine down into something more responsive without affecting the rest of the project
@@vorpalrobot Ya for sure I wouldn't expect them to make a 3rd game. Its still laggy and unresponsive so again the point is I don't think server meshing is the god tech that makes the game good.
Amen !!! And we want weapons that offer the same sensations as those in Arma 3: realistic weight combined with responsiveness, fluidity, and modularity. And more scopes. Same for the body animations. The animations/delay are to slow for some guns.
For myself, the energy shotgun/shotgun pistol that charge up to fire. It feels like those just have a lot of delay or jankiness built in and never work very well for me. Surprisingly though, the grenade launcher is actually sometimes hard to clear now as well. Seems like even when you're landing very close hits, you have to land several to kill someone. Really strange behavior for a grenade launcher.
The voice the Star Citizen community needs!
Much appreciated, bro
Love to see it!
love the format keep it up
Probably the first time the devs have played the game, as well.

They better be testing….
Some great points!
yes
GGs :)
GGs and thanks
They need to change the strafing speeds, the strafing speeds literally remind me of Apex legends.

Whats the most painful gun to get past in the 3.24 ptu gunrush?
