one of the many bonuses to stealth parts is the fact they draw less power, all my ship builds run stealth coolers just because they pull little power
Shhhhhut up. Stealth systems are incredibly important. Let them be strong. Make components more expensive if you have to but keep stealth gameplay. Some of us want to mine or salvage in peace. ✌️
Best explanation video I’ve seen yet
Teşekkürler. şimdi nasıl bir fark olacak, hemen denemek istiyorum.
Made me smile, got a sub
Update for 4.0?
Hoping to soon, I'm watching as things change on 4.0.1 PTU right now!
Guy just told me i need a new computer.. my computer from like 2016 😂
Oof - yes you do! Past 5 years it's usually time. If you're coming up on 10 then it's definitely past!
I just want to do a bounty hunter mission and it started lagging so bad I like couldn't aim they're running up on me and I was like you got to be f****** kidding me. So I died. I'm guessing maybe there's a lot of people on the server because I've done founding Mission bunker missions before so I'm like I'll log back in later but I'm probably going to lose my armor I liked
One thing bunkers have taught me is 1) don't invest in gear on the way in - just kill some targets and live off of free gear, and 2) all gear is disposable.
Looks like CIG wanted you to have to redo this video :(
Yep, hahah...it's coming!
"Motion Blur is a crime against nature and humanity, and the people who created it, should feel bad." Truer words have never been spoken.
Does this video still apply for 4.0 and 4.0.1?
Unfortunately not - it's time for me to get some updated videos out. Things changed massively with the resource network upgrade, and even in the latest upcoming patch adjustments have been made to IR and EM signatures. Stay tuned!
👍
Love this video. I’m curious now on the attritions vs AD5’s specifically for Connie builds. AD5’s shred but you again deal with ballistic engagement limits.
It needs an update for 4.0.1 for sure! A lot has changed. I would still personally lean towards energy though, given what I've seen so far.
I backed in 2013. I appreciate it's still in alpha and blah blah blah - but I recently downloaded it to see what's what, and I was staggered to find how poorly it runs after all these years and all the development and money that's gone into it.
I'm right there with you - and not just in terms of performance. The game is downright discouraging to even look at right now with how many basic, simple things just completely fail to work.
Sabre Raven was my first ship back in 2019, and will always be my one true love in the game. ❤
Apparently he's in photos chillin with ghislaine maxwell; epstein's partner in crime.
I’ve got a 4070 super 32gig ram and R7 5800 Why can’t I run this game at 50-60 fps on medium 4k
It may (if you've adjusted all the settings as recommended here) depend on where you are and what you're doing. It's almost a guarantee you won't get good performance if you're just going off of the planetary cities you start in. So if that's it, definitely travel somewhere else. Failing that, it may be worth looking deeper at your installation and seeing if any other factors are dragging it down. Join discord, may be able to help you rule some things out.
Watching this video, I have a thousand questions.
It's already changed twice in big ways since then lol. A new list is in order.
Defo weird, vSnyc getting 72 and without 110, though believe if using logic, it attempts to smooth frame rate so its not as erratic.
I get over an additional 5fps switching from Borderless to Fullscreen. I think Borderless may be bad advice.
It's interesting you mention that, I was testing again in the latest patch and not only does it look a little faster, but it still retains the "borderless" effect of being able to tab seamlessly to other windows. I'll try and do some research on this and get an updated video out at some point.
Great job, those settings worked for me with a 6700XT
Short and to the point. Love it!
“Motion blur is a crime against nature and humanity” 😂😂😂 you got that right 🫡
They killed my baby with Bespoke S6s
I love motion blur, it's give me speed impression, fight me.
I won't have to very hard 😂
I have to disagree with you on 2 points. Chromatic abberation and film grain make the game look more film-y and less plastic-y and I have noticed 0 performance impact.
With LTI, I expect my Tier 2 Insurance Upgrade to be less than someone who has no LTI or Insurance period. Tier 1 = Most Expensive as it is the ships hull and systems. Tier 2 = Much Less, Only for Systems, maybe 10% of the Tier 1 cost. Tier 3 = Still far less than Tier 1 as Tier 1 covers THE SHIPS HULL AND CORE SYSTEMS. Maybe 10%. I have no insurance. I purchase Tier 1 Insurance = 100,000 Total I have no insurance. I purchase Tier 2 Insurance = 110,000 Total I have no insurance. I purchase Tier 3 Insurance = 120,000 Total I have LTI. I have 100,000 Credit for T1. I have LTI. I purchase Tier 2 Insurance for 10,000 Ontop of T1 LTI I have LTI. I purchase TIer 3 Insurance for an additional 10,000 Ontop of T2 10,000 + T1 LTI. Total Cost for Tier 2 Insurance with LTI = 10,000 Total Cost for Tier 3 Insurance with LTI = 20,000 LTI Covers the Initial Tier 1 Insurance of 100,000 So my tier 2 insurance is only 10,000 More. LTI Covers the Initial Tier 1 Insurance, So my Tier 3 Insurance only cost an additional 20,000 More. People with LTI will not be charged for the Tier 1 Price of insurance. Only the Upgrade Costs of Tier 2, and Tier 3 if those are chosen and paid for.
Appreciate this video, will give it a watch while setting everything up. To be honest the biggest frustration at the moment was coming back sheet not playing since 3.20/3.21 only to find I need to rebuild all my bindings and controller set up yet again.
I try to get new players used to that in a hurry - it's worth knowing your controls intimately and being comfortable setting them up from scratch just in case you need to wipe out a corrupted used folder!
@@UniversityofStanton - It was less of an issue when I kept up with the game's development but unfortunately I've been on an extended break which is one contributing factor in forgetting my controls. I thought it was around 3.20 where I took a break but upon reviewing patch notes it's been much, much longer. Personally I find it to be an issue that's further compounded by the horrendously outdated binding system.
At this point in the game, would you recommend the Corsair or a Connie variant for a single pilot all around ship?
Connie, absolutely, and Connie Taurus if you're doing anything that requires moving some cargo.
W vid
Thank you!
Thanks man, i jumped from 30fps to 48fps in the capitals and more than 100fps in rest, with 60 to 80fps em any moments
Nice
Do you know anything about if overclocking is gone now cuz after the MFD changes I can’t find a button for it is it just overpowering now?
Overclocking hasn't been a thing for a long time.
gtx 1060 6gb i5-9400f 16gb ram cant run the game over 5 fps....
Hmm...unfortunately this I can understand, that hardware is way behind. The CPU and GPU are 6 and 8 years old respsectively and lower-end.
@UniversityofStanton the game literally gives required specs which I have and it's unplayable just had to refund the game till I upgrade Shame.
A fun way to f with people have an ultra high emission cargo ship making it so incredibly noticeable and then have a bunch of stealth fighters next to it pirates see it not realising there are a bunch of fighters next to it
The devs are actual geniuses making laser far superior in damage but allowing ballistic to damage components before shields have been taken down
Well. They would be if that were actually how it worked.
Hey there! i just brought the game, and im using a GPU radeon rx 5700 xt and a CPU ryzen 5 5500 and 16gb ram, do you think im able to play this game performing the graphics?
I don't see any reason why not.
I recommend you 32 gb ram, i changed from 16 to 32gb because of the big stuttering, its much smoother now
Thanks for this.
You're welcome! Unfortunately some of it's changed since, so I'll have a new one coming for 4.0!
@@UniversityofStanton Looking forward to it.
are you planning to make a video like this for 4.0?
Yes!
I absolutely agree
great vid. thanks for the fps !
Love this video format.
There is a reason to choose military or industrial components over stealth... survivability. IF you get hit those components can fail sooner than military or industrial. Unfortunately not all ships have their components that can be hit.
@@louhodo5761 While I get the "fantasy" or even "intent" of the developers to create that scenario, the game's balance doesn't allow it to play out. The hitpoint count in itself simply doesn't offset the advantage of not being lockable.
Meanwhile pdcs and turrets have 500k distortion health and a 1s charge now
Hmm. That seems like a less than balanced set of numbers.
Hmm i have an issue with the turn V-sync off comment. I sadly suffer from screen tearing quite a bit in games. I upgraded to a 144hz monitor at 1440p recently but still get tearing every now and then, so unless there is another way, im all ears
You're not the first person I've heard that from, but I haven't had an issue with that in a long time, but I've also been using G-sync, so the game having to be locked to the monitor refresh isn't really a thing. Have you checked to make sure you have G-Sync/FreeSync set up properly? You should be able to run that but disable the game's vsync option.
you probably won't get that many fps in star citizen anyway, maybe lower the screen refresh to 100hz and limit the number of frames to 95-97, check in your monitor from what hz freesync/gsync works, it may be that it works from 60hz and if you have less fps it will stutter, it will also stutter if the fps are the same or higher than the maximum refresh of the monitor (this is why the fps limit is set), make sure you have freesync/gsync enabled in the monitor options and gpu drivers
Corsair is now nerfed to the ground. Still can do stuff but Connie series is better until it gets nerfed….
Yeah, that was a sad day :-(. Connie is definitely it now.
Stealth is the most important thing to military aircraft in general so it being important isn't the issue. Making it a compelling choice is
Tell that to the A10 LMAO
Stealth is more important now for aircraft performing BVR engagements(mostly fighters, interceptors and bombers). Aircraft that perform other roles (CAS, tankers etc) doesn't really have much use for stealth as it would just heavily increase the cost of these aircraft (just look at the price of stealth aircraft today).
@galece Stealth is important yes, but what is stealthy today won't be tomorrow, there are rumours that f22 are already detectable for western radars. I'm my opinion, jamming systems is the way, and that's what French chose with the Rafale.
@@chrissssa a10 only operates with air superiority secured from my knowledge
@@chrissssa yeah but if something is jamming multiple towers at the same time it is possible to triangulate the source of the jamming. Easier to do more accurately with AI.
You are my hero! Thank you for your hard work!!!
They'll wait for Firebird and hornet ghost sales to fully dry up before they balance anything
Nah, don't need stealth. Just continue developing alternatives. For instance, stealth components aren't the most fuel efficient, which is relevant with higher fuel costs / lower fuel supply. I'm also thinking about Jared recently saying the Shipyards he and John Crew wrote years ago are about to become very relevant, including the one about limiting which item types can be used in which ships. In that case, stealth components might not even be an option for most ships.
