My granddad would go every morning at 04.30 to get our milk 'bucket' filled (do not knoq the english word for the old metal containers used for storing milk in).
Both my brother and I grew up on raw milk. The whole family drank only raw milk until I was 14, umtil we moved away from the village.
I know many people who have had their frist try of raw milk as adults and 60-70 % of them have had an upset stomach afterwards. Those who have stuck with it had minor stomack rumblings for 1 - 2 weeks and then everything was normal... but most of those are dead set agaist anything not 'as nature intended', so I take what they say with a grain of salt 😉😁

Dry stone walling is a lovely rural craft to watch. There are quite a few people doing it these days still. Farms with walls like these need constant upkeep, since as the name suggests, there is no mortar involved, just skill and judgement. But what a beautiful sight! It arose out of practical necessity: clearing the stones from the pasture. Then what to do with them? Why not use them to keep the livestock in place? Probably been going on here for many thousands of years.

There are things that your videos showed me I never knew even though we had cattle as well to tend. I have say that you are doing a great job and to seeing someone like you who cares so much and loves their work is rewarding. Keep up the good work and never stop being passionate about it. Cliff Hall of Utah, USA. PS - just an added note. My ancestry originated from Aberdeen Scotland in 1772. William Hall came through Ireland to Virginia. So, hopefully some day I and my wife, and family can come visit Scotland and maybe even get a chance to meet up with you. That would be an honor. If I do, I will remind myself to bring you a true cowboy hat. For you would make a good one. Wishing you and your family the best in 2022.

When I was a child growing up, ALL of the local dairy farmers would sell to the local folks, IF they wanted to buy it. Today there are no farms that I know of in this state that are willing to sell the raw milk to the public. There have been too many frivolous lawsuits, & the farmers are scared of those EXPENSIVE situations. For them it's just better to sell to the local creameries.
There was one farm left that their whole business was selling raw milk. EVERYTHING they produced was sold fresh from the farm to consumers. The state of Washington made it so difficult for them to do business that the family decided to quit farming!
