I cannot figure this out. I’ve watched so many videos and my brain cannot wrap my head around it. I can do the single thing and then I have no idea where or what to grab to make the spiral. I just end up with a weird chain

Yes, just add more rows to where you want the walls to come up to.

It depends how fast you knit, but I would say maybe about 1-2 hours. And I used 2 rolls of yarn for one, but it also depends on how big you want to make the beds.

How much yarn do you recommend to make a regular/medium sized cat bed?
I just finished one with about 12” into the second skein so it’d be easy to do with just one skein if you used tighter stitches than did.

I think this is hand crocheting, hand knitting wouldn’t be possible lol :)

It really depends on how big you want to make the bed. I used about 2 skeins, so about 56 yards.
