- Hello Everyone! Katia here. In this video tutorial, I will show you how to crochet an easy Pet Bed. You can adjust the base of the bed and make it from Small to Extra Large by working less or more rounds. The bed that I'm crocheting, is Medium to Large size. This bed works up super quick, and in no time, your pet will be enjoying the cozy and soft bed!

My kitten Smoky is the same breed as your cat, I wish I could post a photo as I was finishing off building up the sides he jumped into it on my knee and stayed there while I crocheted. I made mine in single strand of t shirt yarn. He loves it! Many thanks ❤

I made this cat bed and was really easy. My first time working with super bulky but my bed turned out beautiful! Will be making more for friends and for a silent auction for a non profit that benefits animals.

Hello! How did you attach the new color to the base? Did you tie the ends together?
Hello 👋 you can tie the ends together or you can finish the round using color A and f/o. Then start the next round by inserting the hook into the first stitch and wrap color B around the hook. Pull through and chain 1 work a stitch back into the same first stitch. Continue working around using color B. You can work the yarn tails in.

How many rolls of this yarn do I need?
If you are going to use one strand of yarn 2 rolls but if you going to use two strands of yarn than 4 rolls.

I tried making this bed several times and it keeps looking like a bowl. It’s a little curved up but not completely flat. Is it supposed to be flat or a little curved? Thank you for sharing your video tutorial.
It is totally normal if it is curving up as you crochet. Sometimes with different yarn or crochet tension it could look like a bowl. Once your cute fur ball starts using it, it should flatten out more. I hope this helps! 🤗🩷🩷

May I know how many balls of yarn it required you to make this pet bed?
Yes of course. I used about 4 balls of yarn - each one was 220 yards. I used 4 because I worked two strands of yarn to crochet this pet bed. Hope this helps 😊💕💕

Oh no!!! Did you try using thick yarn? It really helps it keep the shape. 😊💕💕
@@KatiaCreates yes, I used 2 strands of #6 with the 15.75 mm hook. I think I probably missed a row or my tension was too tight. I started it over and it came out fine. 😊

So you really started with a magic circle? It’s hard to see anything in the beginning. Do you have a written pattern? I went thru 5 cat bed videos so far and it’s hard to follow anyone’s lol
I’m so sorry about that. I didn’t realise it when I was filming. If you are having a hard time with a magic ring, you can also start with a slip knot, chain 4 and slip stitch into the first chain to make a circle.
As far as a writer pattern, I don’t have it at the moment but I’m going to make another pet bed video tutorial and I’ll include a written pattern. It will be very similar with a different yarn for summer.
