The bernat blanket yarn is to soft it doesn't stand up for the sides. I made a second bed with Lyons brand thick and quick and it turned out very nice.

This is a wonderful Dog bed. My baby (Tundra) is 15 years old. This looks like it would give her good support without being to "squishy". When dog beds are too soft, it can make it difficult for senior dogs to get up out of the bed. It's also great looking! Going to have to make it bigger though - she's a 50 lb husky...
Very cute pet bed. Watching you made my hands hurt. I wondered why you hold your hook like that. Now I know. I now know how to hold my hook for the thicker yarn. I never could manage to use a skein of bulky yarn that was given to me. Will try again. Thank you Crystal.

I watched and tried to follow 3 different tutorials before finding this one! I am at row 3 and have the 18 stiches whereas before I kept losing or adding stiches! No one explained to me that the first stitch/start of row one can trick me into thinking it's a stitch and I think that's what I've been doing wrong! You also make everything slowly and explain as you go! I just love you! Thank you for teaching me ❤

Oh my gosh! I've been looking at puppy beds for the last week to buy because we're getting a Aussiedoodle puppy in July when we fly to Idaho for vacation. He was born May 3rd & we have gotten pics & videos of him everyday since then so we can see our puppy's journey of birth to when we go get him. We are so excited! We named him Loki & he's so sweet & adorable. So this crochet tutorial couldn't had come at a better time. Thank you Crystal.

I've definitely decided to make a few of these for my dogs and cats. Hopefully they will use them as they love sleeping with me and my husband so really not sure if they'll use the pet bed or not. Lol. I adore your little addition to the BOD Family. He is just so precious. My longhaired chi ( Little Bear) was about that size when I got him. He is 6 yrs old now and approximately 9.5#. My other chi is a tri colored short-haired and is turning 16 this August.
I have 6 dogs Crystal, ranging from 10 to 150 pounds. They are the loves of my life. George is a very lucky boy, hope to see him make a TH-cam debut soon. 💘💘💘

I'm making this right now, working on the sides, all I had yarn-wise was blanket yarn, I crochet tight, but I would recommend using two strands at once. It stands up, but is not as sturdy as Crystals. Just my personal experience. I know my cat, ghost, is going to use it a lot as he decided to sit on it before I even had the sides made lol. Thank you Crystal for the wonderful tutorial.

Hey Crystal, I just finished making this for my mother in law's little Yorkie named Honey. I used a 6 weight yarn but i modified your pattern and did another round part to crochet in a bottom pillow. Pretty proud of myself I think it 💖💖turned out nice. Now just hoping Honey likes it lol. This was such an easy pattern thank you for sharing

6 weight yarn will work as well. I go over this in the video. These are great for donation to your local animal shelters which is always appreciated ❤

Doggie basket is nice for little pets. It be a little hard on my hands as it is a heavier thread.Ican do the basic stitches single double stitches.
