      Thank you! Loops are about 2” long. But if you use a different kind of yarn, this may vary. You don’t want any gaps in your boat, but if you make the loops too tight then it turns out small and it’s hard to work with. I hope this helps!

    How would you add handles and a hood cover?

    • @staycozycreativeco
      @staycozycreativeco  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I would probably do a similar pattern to how you beginning of the baby boat. Once it’s the size you want, bind off. Basically just make the bottom of the boat again, without the sides. Then attach to the baby boat with a separate piece of yarn by weaving it through the outside loops. For handles, you could either make by twisting two pieces of yarn or braiding three pieces. Loop ends through wherever you want them. I hope this all makes sense and at least gets you started :)

    • @staycozycreativeco
      @staycozycreativeco  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Alicia! Thanks so much for your interest. This Baby Boat pattern actually needs 2-2.5 kgs of yarn, depending on the type, which equals 4-5 skeins. Currently our Honey and Eggplant yarns are a bit lighter, so they have more length per skein. You could get away with 4 skeins with them. The mauve, ivory and any velvet yarn, I'd definitely recommend getting 5 skeins just so you don't run out. They are a bit chunkier. I hope this is helpful!

    R u able to use this stich for a baby cacoon?

    • @staycozycreativeco
      @staycozycreativeco  ปีที่แล้ว

      What do you mean by a baby cacoon? If it’s for a baby to sleep inside, then I would say no if you’re using this tube yarn. It’s a bit weighted due to the stuffing on the inside and I wouldn’t recommend having it lay on top of a baby. It’s better for laying on. Let me know if this doesn’t answer your question.

      @@peggywheeler4848 yes! I did use the cotton tube yarn. It is usually $1 cheaper than the velvet, but velvet is currently on sale with the code YARN, so it would be cheaper right now :)

    If I wanted to make a smaller size. Do you know if 8 open stiches to start instead of 10 would work with the same amount of rows ?

      Absolutely 👍🏼 you can really use any starting amount you want. If you go a lot bigger, you’d probably want to add an extra row, but just a little smaller shouldn’t be a problem.
